Once you’ve stuffed yourself stupid on Christmas dinner here’s something to keep you amused. A double header fun race on the Moon.

The event will be Formula 2 Spec contest, featuring both Lolas. You can start with whichever one you like but have to use the other Lola for the next race. 15 minutes qualification & Intermediate Short race distance.

It’s a fun race, unlimited Shift R but you are asked to observe the normal GPL rule of taking a Stop & Go after every reset.

Personally I have no idea what the track is like. I’m reliably informed it isn’t too long or difficult to learn, although an anti-gravity set up will help.

Even if it's earlier than usual, I almost always join late during Qualifying, so I can't always be present in the chat or see the password being mentioned there.

What a superb little track! it reminds me a little of Goodwood or Zandvoort in that you need to find the groove and go with it, tryig to hurry the car into some of those corners can create a big "off".. I was half way across the moon when I tried "Lamont" in 4th gear :D
I seem to be sitting comfortably in the 1:14s on default setups on both cars, marginally faster in the FVA.

Long way to go in this F2 mooning malarky ,  in more ways than one , hope I didnt upset the lappery too much by getting in the way  :-\

I was disappointed to miss these races, I tried to join but each time was taken to the GPL Multiplayer screen, from where I could only click the red button.  I had a rummage through GEM but nothing seemed amiss, anyone any ideas?

Decided to watch my Christmas DVD, "Fastest" instead, highly recommended to anyone with an interest in motogp.

Really enjoyed these! What an awesome track this is, I wish we would run it in official seasons even if it's not a real life track. The flow it has is just superb and the immersion due to its visuals adds something fresh and new compared to the usual greenery/yellowish type of colors we face on normal tracks. I find it quite easy on the eyes and not as tiring.

I had the same trouble recently....Simply reinstall GEM Bob, fixes it straight up.
