Title: NASCAR
Post by: Johnny.P on December 27, 2012, 05:58:56 PM +0000
Papyrus released NASCAR 2003 a few years after Gpl, this included tyre wear and also wind, I wonder if gpl could somehow utilize some of NASCAR to improve itself.

I doubt it, the whole physics engine is inside the main exe file.

Has anybody installed Papyrus' NASCAR on a modern Computer with Windows 7/8/10?

Does it install and run?

Is it worth it as I have the game?

Pretty sure it ran ok on XP, so it should run on 7/8.
10 can be a bit odd should handle anything the other 2 can  :)

I've been meaning to reinstall it for ages but keep being too busy  :(

It is often imposible to run old pre-windows 7 games on modern PC's unfortunately. Many of my all time favourite games are only able to run on Windows XP so I went to eBay and bought a re-conditioned 17" screen laptop with Windows XP pre-installed. Now I can play all my older titles.
However it is hard to find an internet browser that has XP support so be aware that game patches etc will have to be introduced to your XP machine via memory stick which can be bit of a drag.

I'll give it a go, I wasn't able to get Le Mans 24 Hours installed and running though and that is much more recent.
