ok with me. We are usually around 5 mins late starting anyway.

Tried a few laps this morning and I think late 1.24s are going to be best I'm going to get round here. Similar pace to when we last raced here.

Yes, nice track this with a couple of tricky sections just waiting for me if my concentration wanders. Had a few laps and I'm also in the 24s.

Later start ok by me too.

Looks like I'm struggling. Generally in the high 25's with only one lap so far a 24 and that a 24.9. I'll try and stay clear when you come to lap me  :-*

Phew that was fast and furious  :o

Was hoping for a grid top 3 based on the practise times but several guys upped their game and i qualled down in 5th.
Lap 1 I unfortunately caught Apex in the turn 2 sweeper  :( slowed and let the grid past and then carried on from near the back  :'( not what I needed and big apology to Apex, sorry bud.
Took me a few laps to recatch the pack and I then had a great battle with several cars in flat out nose to tail racing, gradually getting past others. After a great fight with Dan I found myself 3rd  after both him and legz made errors on the same lap :)
Kept ahead of Dan for about another 5 laps but then made my own error in the tricky downhill chicane and he got back past....then he was gone!
I was getting unsure how many laps were remaining so eased off to save some fuel and brought the car home a hard earned 4th.

Big congrats to TT who seemed to be untouchable and GT and Dan on the podium  8)

Well that was a stonking race from start to about 8 mins to go :sweatdrop:

Literally battled everyone bar the front two from the off, had a sniff at Spanner in 3rd at one point but Dan & MJ were too fast, caught me & while I did my best to exploit Viper power on them, they rightly earned their passes eventually.
Thought that was probably going to be it for the action but NSFast also in a Z4 managed to catch me & then we resumed the same kind of fight I'd had with the other two. Was really classic stuff until...

NSF seemed to miss his braking point by quite a way following me into the downhill right-left-right chicane & from what I saw in my rear-view shot off grass-ward bound to my right (I figured trying to make sure he didn't take me out), I knew I had to come round to the right into the path he'd have no chance of changing his momentum from, so I pulled up some, just rolling to avoid the otherwise imminent smash. Don't know how he did it, but next I saw was him accelerating away! ??? >:( I instantly planted my right foot & instantly found myself in the barrier, somewhat peeved.

What I should have done, was get my car turned round safely & continue the race.
What I did do was to jump straight on chat & poorly express my disappointment because an oportunity had been taken when I'd tried to show caution. So I apologise to all the other drivers & especially to NSFast, as I assume that is why you quit. That was the last thing I would want :(

So overall a great race, but disappointed with myself.

not a great day for Team Oldie then! I spontaneously decided I wanted to do a race yesterday evening, installed GTR2 (only had a standalone P&G installation on my machine), the track and car pack etc. and surprisingly enough, it all worked out of the box. However, it turned out that I was abysmally slow in these cars. I nevertheless took the start, reckoning that I wouldn't do no one any harm starting from the back. After the start, I slowed down when I saw carnage in front of me at turn 2, and someone hit me from behind. I carried on, but the car must have been damaged because I spun as soon as I hit the brakes for the next turn. With the car threatening to roll back into oncoming traffic, I hit esc rather than trying to rejoin.

Seems I'd better stick to P&G!

Very nice track and car combo this which kept me focussed all race. Was very careful in the early laps aware of the Exige's tendency to bite my backside given half a chance, but as the tyres came in I found I was able to push harder and close up on nsfast. Was just about to get intresting when he lost it at that fiddly bit and I was through for 2nd. Gave chase to TT but he had too much pace for me and gradually extended his lead. I eased back a little, but then found that Daniel was closing me down and so had to push very hard for the last few laps to hold on for 2nd.

Put a lot of time into developing the Exige, so it's nice to get a decent result after some silly errors in previous rounds.

Well done to TT for a great win  8)
