I set my alarm for 2:30 and watched the last 10 or 15 minutes live. Down to the wire as usual in GT2. ;D

Great coverage by MotorsTV  :thumbup1: Didn't manage to stay up for the finish though, had to give it best at about 12.30am. Being a big bike racing fan I also watched the Daytona 200 which MotorsTV cut to for a couple of hours. Wish they hadn't bothered, really tedious spread out affair, first half dozen laps were good but the rest deadly dull. How can the Americans make a 12 hour car race really interesting & a 2 hour bike race boring.  ???

had to feel sorry for both the Italian guy in the GT Risi Fezza who threw the lead away late on by running wide in the dark, after pretty much owning it for half the race. But even more sorry for Damien Faulkner in GTC who retired about 2 corners before the end of a 12hr race whilst 2nd !  :o He must have felt absolutely distraught after so much effort. He was even on for a win until half hour remaining when his brakes completely went but it at least looked like he'd bag 2nd only for that to happen.  :surrender:
Think he ended up 5th in class due to laps advantage over the rest.

The new track lighting made the night racing even more spectacular this year but still cant beat that sunset spell for visual delight  8)
