Game Front File Hosting FAQ

File Hosting Rules Changelog – 11-05-2012
On July 19, 2012, several new rules regarding Game Front’s file hosting service are going into effect.

1. New deletion rules for registered user files.
These rules will go into effect on July 19, 2012. After that date, files uploaded to a registered user account will need 1 download every 60 days to avoid deletion.

If a “user file” is not downloaded at least once in a sixty day period, it will be automatically deleted due to inactivity.

If a user file receives at least 1 download every sixty days, it will stay on Game Front indefinitely.

This rule will affect new files you upload, as well as files you already store on the site. After July 19, 2012, if files uploaded to your user account have not been downloaded at least 1 time in a 60 day period, they will be deleted.

Gamefront and Amazon links both working here.

Looks like the no-grip tracks are different versions so can't help.

Not managed to do a single lap yet  :(  is it the same version of the track we've used before? Save me reinstalling it.

Hope the turnouts a bit better, we had good numbers first few rounds and then it died a death, as seems to be the way of things.

The download link for the track has been updated.

Sorry about that. I had forgotten to ask Dave to sort out a new download link until Apex posted the other day to remind me. I should have added a note here straight away (and asked Dave to sort this out about 2 weeks ago).

I'm sure it's the same track we used for PnG recently MJ.

very annoyed to have to leave yet another race from poxy warping  >:(

Got 2nd on the grid and was hoping for a great race then literally as soon as the lights changed i saw the dreaded synchronisation message and GT's car ahead was stuttering. This is getting to be a regular problem recently and yet ive always had a bullet proof connection on the whole. Rather than ruin anyones race i quit out. Very frustrated.
Any ideas? Im not using wireless, broadband speed check says i am getting 6Mb/ps DL speed. Router shows all green lights. It was fine for thursdays much heavier trafficked P&G race  ???

It did occur to me that you only seem to be getting it for GTR2 races, can't recall you warping on any PnG Thursday event :-\
Are you shuting down/running the same external programs?
Reinstall GTR2 maybe?

Rather oddly as I crossed the line in 2nd, that was a bit of a damp squib end to the season for me.
Think I could have enjoyed some good racing with MJ & Spanner (GT would always just have the edge), but with MJ's connection issues & after only one lap of pressure, Spanner buckled (::) ;)) & fell off.
Litterally sat 2 secs behind GT till half way, then started to fall back a bit each lap. Shame really, but I guess the Viper was never really ideal for Hungaroring... so 2nd's a bit of a result really :)

Congrats to RR on the title & GT on the runners up spot (I think), with myself claiming the final tier of the season podium 8)
Attendance wise it's been a good season for the GTC class, with the exception of Buddh, till tonight the lowest attendace was 11. Not too shabby, it was obviously worth the wait H@L  ;).

Cheers
Chris

p.s. When does the next season start?

That's what I don't get legz, it's only been these lower attendance GTC rounds that its happened.
No changes to my hardware or software, regularly defragged etc
Maybe I could reinstall gtr2 but not sure what that would change for online. I did wonder if my ISP is doing any sneaky throttling? (Plusnet)

Would have been a good race as knew I had good race pace  :(

Started well. I decided to use the Lotus for this one as it seemed to handle better for me here.

Was going great until Spanner spun and I had to hit the breaks in the middle of the track and got nudged from behind by Peter (I think) which I don't know if that an affect on my car or if it was me just cocking things up after that but fell off after 15? mins and lost my rear spoiler so left as I would not have been able to continue without a pit.

Glad to be back hope the turnouts are good for the next season Grats everyone who finished and even more so to those in the top spots on the table.

I was following you MJ quite a bit in qually and there was no hint of any lag. At the start of the race it was obvious as soon as people started to leave the grid.

I did wonder if my ISP is doing any sneaky throttling? (Plusnet)

I'm with PlusNet so I doubt it although I do have their swanky FTTC offering :)

Sorry QS I did nudge you around as you slowed to avoid Spanner's dainty pirouette. I proceeded to fall off a couple of times after myself but never hit anything and got a lucky 3rd when Apex decided to pit.

I moved my rig around a little while ago and now get quite uncomfortable after about half distance. Need to re-position the pedals as I think I'm stretching a bit for them.

Sorry I couldn't make more rounds but I managed to arrange alternate w/e away and they fell on the same ones as this series. I'll try harder next season :)

Thanks for running this H@L :)

One of my favourite tracks, but one which proved a little problematic in the Exige. Had bad understeer in practice and ended up having to run less rear wing and coast than was comfortable to get it to turn in and to prevent the front left from overheating/wearing. Almost caved in and took the 996

Fortunately I was able to make pole and use the first few laps to push hard and create a gap I could manage for the rest of the race. Was surprised to see Legzy hanging on as long as he did in his barge, expecting the Porsches (bad luck btw MJ) to be my main worry. My consistency held up well as did my tyres and I was able to ease back for the last few laps and take a very satisfying win. :sweatdrop:

Enjoyed my return to UKGTR this season and really liked the challenge of the Exige. Had I been able to get to grips with it a bit sooner I might have made a bit more of a fight of the championship, but think I'll go for something a bit more conventional next season.

Thanks to H@L for putting all this on and all those I had the pleasure of racing with  8) Congrats to RR for the title.

I could not attend this event unfortunately. :-[

Grats on the championship Roadrunner, GT and Legzy. :)

It has been a good season with a decent turn out for some of the earlier races. Most enjoyable. There will not be such a large gap before starting the next season this time. ;)

GTR2 still lives. With Assetto Corsa, Project Cars and RFactor 2 all looking rather tasty, I'm not sure how long for.

Thanks for attending the races all and I hope to see you season 17.

congrats to teamie Roadrunner on winning the drivers championship and big yeahhh!  to the Legends for winning the GTC team championship

Well done Goldtop and Legzy for 2nd and 3rd in the drivers table  8)

Are the points correct for the final race? I thought at least starting the race i would pick up some points albeit for last of the attendees? Does matter as it would move me 1 or 2 places up the final peckings.  :)

I always think attendees and especially finishers should get a bonus point in the championships to encourage drivers to stick with it. I also think there could be a 'dropped round' of lowest score so that those of us who go on a holiday or suffer a disco/problem arent penalised badly for it in the overall series.

As far as I'm aware you have to complete at least 1 lap to get points. I could be wrong though.

oh, didnt know that or i would have let you lot past and trundled around the back for a lap or two.  :(
TBH i was so angry i quit straight out without thinking as soon as you guys said i was warping.

Think i will try and get in the habit of restarting my router before each race for a while to see if that cures it.

Everybody does get a drop-week in this series, I think that's why RR is the champion not GT (GT has a higher total score, but RR was more consistent on his top five rounds). I think

thats because we havent had 'a team' for past couple of years. It was only me on my tod driving constantly (and that broken up by holidays & real life interference) plus the odd guest appearance by TT or Purdie, so had no chance for any championship fights.  :'(
Our illustrious team founders dont even appear on here anymore, think they only loiter on the iR forums  :(

We need a shiny new cool GT racing sim to bring the community back together.
