Title: Load Cell brake
Post by: Podkrecony_Ziutek on June 03, 2013, 09:46:23 AM +0100
After yesterdays race I've got few questions about my load cell brake. It's a mod for the G25/G27 pedals made by apelectrix.com (http://www.apelectrix.com/). Inside Sim Racing made an episode about it:  AP Electrix Load Cell Mod for the Logitech G27 Pedals, Installation and Review  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNTLggI2leo).

Personally I really like it. It's not just more realistic, but it also uses the muscle memory is used versus positional memory, which for me feels more natural. The only issue I have witch it is the fact that everytime I plug in my wheel I need to calibrate the pedals, which can be tricky sometimes.
There is a solution for that, Leo Bodnar is selling a Pedal Cable (http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=71&products_id=187). It converts G25/G27 pedals into separate device which don't need to be calibrated, plus it increases sensitivity which gives more precision.
