yesterday evening i was trying the alpine 1.3.
this car seems be very slower compared the 275 and the pantera stock.

Wot Clive said.... the cars are not all meant to be identical pace, some are deliberately slower.
I think, as CLive said, the A110 will surprise some people  >:D

  :hammer:
It won't, I usually make them start a few mins late so people have a chance to join after
other meaningless games like football.. no idea why Italians would want to play football  ???
but hey, each to his own.  ::)

Another track I love and will miss as I am stuck down south across the road from the Tower  :hang:
of London
Back home for the following 3 weeks though  ;D

One of my favourite circuits and after some practise last night I think I'll have to come along to this'n. That Alpine does seem a bit out classed tho but it's a lovely drive. Still can't decide which to take  ??? but I seem to be fastest in the 4 speed lightweight.

Hey Alessandro. Dont know what just happened on the server. When voting to go to next session to race you my game went to loading screen and seemed to get stuck. To bad as i was in for a quick race. Hope to see you in two days on track again.

Anyone got any laptimes?

I'd like to take the Alpine, but i suspect the long straights will kill it here - got to low 1:08s after a few laps, but immediately almost 2 secs quicker in the 275 in just one tentative lap. Difficult to see where any more time to be gained in the Alpine as i'm already at full throttle almost all the way round..!

Same here Frex, 1.08.2 in the Alpine, all the other cars are at least 2s faster. It just loses too much time on the long straight. Interestingly I was quicker to the first split in the Alpine than the AI in a 3.0 911RSR!

NOTE: This track is a direct replacement for Beranovac which has a start lights issue,
so the cars may not work out quite as originally intended.

no problem. however, the pantera seems be faster in the last sector than the 275 gtb-c. tonight i'll be on track for the last race details, so, u can find me there.  ;D

Scraping into a 1:07 (just!) is the best I can do in the Lightweight Jag.
If I had more time I'd do some more laps in the Fezza (only managed a couple of laps), as I think that's the nicest car to drive 8)

Hmm....just tested my line.

download speed: 3.86
upload: 1.13
ping: 32

That d/l speed is about half what I usually get (yes I know that's still snail pace) but the upload and ping seem about normal for me. I can't remember ever having lag before, but I'll ask others to check me before the race this evening. I believe I only started lagging last week when Giuseppe left the game, so not sure if that might have caused it.

I'm changing my ISP in a couple of weeks, so I'm hoping for better.

thanks for answering....this was only for a better enjoying during the race!
when u overtaked me , in the last race, we were on the last 2 corners before the finish line, but it was impossible for me to try overtaking.
so i preferred to finish 4 and save rather than  last or crashed  ;D
c u tonight on track

Had connection problems all night so it was inevitable that I'd get a disco in the race. I was too slow anyway so was just getting in the way. Shame as I found the Panty a lovely drive.

Good balance of cars on the track & had some strong fights, but in the end it felt quite a long race & decided to hit Esc after going wide at the home straight entry (again)

Ran wide on last corner and let Tudor through after fighting him all race!  Grrr!  :taz:

Hard luck John.

I think that you should have words with your ISP.

I complained to mine about the number of disconnections on Wednesdays and they came back and said "Actually all the other days are duff too".  They adjusted some settings wrt signal to noise ratio and it has been much better since.

Grats to Giuseppe, Geoffers, Aged Ed and Tudor.  Good race and an interesting set of cars.  I could have done with the straight being longer.   ;D

Don't know how Geoffers and AE made those turgid Panteras go so quick.

good enjoying , how ever, apart from results.  ;D

good start in grid, but during the straight i changed my position from track and i cutted the road to another opponent behind me.
he hit me, but that was my fault. escuse me for this mistake.

i ll be more carreful next time.

for the rest of the race, too many mistakes .  i lost concentration too many times.
lovely track and good car.

only a driver choosed the alpine. i was wright saying that car was too slow.  ;D

c u

LOL

No problem Alessandro.

On the replay, it looked to me as though you and Tudor touched, to your left, which then sent you across the front of me.  As you say, we touched and you went off the track to the right.

I had a shock when I saw, on the replay, how close you came to hitting both me and Tudor at the end of the straight, after your passenger trip along the grass.

Thanks Alex.   :thumbup1:

My pleasure. Hope I didn't got in the way too much since I was lacking a bit of topspeed at the straights.

My thanks also to Matt for putting an easy handling car in the mix for a gentleman driver like me lacking time, talent and setup knowledge .

After surviving lap one I set about chasing down Clive, a battle which was to continue all race. I made a last minute change to my final gear ratio which worked well for me in quali, but made me terribly slow out of the corners with my race setup and made it difficult to get near Clive on the straights. Needn't have worried as he kindly let me through a few metres from the finishing line  :-*

Congrats to pody  8)

generally my driving is better than this time.
after the hit on the wall, my car was very difficult to control and finish the race . it was non easy to finish the race.
i was watching the replay, and, i repeat my excuses to goldtop, that i first hit, and then clive.  >:(

Good luck in the next race Alessandro.

And feel free to hit as many Kerb Crawlers as you like!   ;D

I really goofed on the last corner of the race.  I basically stopped racing too soon, as I couldn't catch Aged Ed and Tudor was about three seconds back.  What I forgot was that the Jag needed a far bit of encouragement to get the back end to break away in the last corner.  I was just stooging to the finish and by the time that I realised what was happening I was already understeering towards the grass and the wall beyond.

What a burk!   ::)

SBRC do not use TS.

I have thought about it but I do not need any more reasons to crash.

It might be useful as a training aid though.

John could shout at us when we are not doing it right.
