The first event to take place in the Simbin lobby will be the GTC Hockenheim race on Monday 5th August.

To prepare for the switchover it is best if you make a new copy of your current GTL install (maybe call it Simbin GTL), change the content of the LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT file to read thus: gtlsrv.race-game.com
Start up your new Simbin GTL and register. If you reach the lobby try to enter the event entitled "Simracing.org.uk MONDAY". The password is our normal practise password. And that's it.

Have an earlier installation of Simbin Lobby installation which gets into the lobby but it doesn't accept today's installation of Istanbul - used existing copy in my GTL archives (for which I got invitation to overwrite).  ???

Bill, your going to have to be less cryptic, I've no idea what your trying to get across  ???  Istanbul???

That's the track I see for "GTL Monday's - Here soon." - assumed that was the track you'd selected.

Thanks Bill, now I understand. My bad, tonight I'll set the track to a standard one and report back. At least you've reached the lobby so that's the dodgy part sorted.

Been on earlier right track but can't get onto track - bad password.  Will try again now.

Simbin doesn't want to go for me, get incorrect password message will try again tonight before tonight's race.  :rockon:

OK, so I have now set it to Anderstorp GP running the TVR. The password is simbin

Can't see Anderstorp or  GTL Monday's - Here soon.  ::) Will try again later.

No because it's shut down as we have a race tonight. It will be back afterwards

Tony, I've a problem which is driving me hairless.  ???  After installing Istanbul and the cars on my SimBin system I found on the "Eligible Teams" Screen there was no Slider.  ::) So only the visual car list was accessible neither of the cars could be accessed. Selecting one of these cars, it seems to drive OK at quick look.

Deleted my installation and copied my Master GTL Installation.  Checked it seemed OK, downloaded Istanbul and the Ford RS 1600.  When I tried to drive the RS1600 couldn't - no slider again.  Once downloaded uninstalling them makes no difference.  After Deleting the installation and trying again same result. Have you tried this combo?

The Escort -v- Mini race is on the Altbierbude lobby, not the Simbin lobby. This is the LAST race on the Altbierbude lobby.

Yet another copy of GTL this time seems to work OK.  Can't Register for SimBin Server - do you know if it's running.  Logging off now till tonight after 7 pm I guess, must see to afternoon coffee and cakes.  Don't want negative Brownie Points.  ;) ;D

Made a new install and could join the lobby, but there were only 2 active servers.

UKGTL not active atm?

It was running on our server but not showing up in lobby?

Now restarted and it's showing in lobby.

Half an hour of trying to register is trying my patience.
I have trieddifferent names.passwords/email adresses every time it says unable to connect o server.

stupid question but did you type the server name correctly in the IP Lobby file??

Yep, and I tried it's IP

Fresh install, still refuses to register. Ok I give in.

 ??? why you? It's got me foxed. And you still get that General Login failure message?

I am in a different house today, with a different x2 installs already, neither will connect to the server to register
though I can ping the name and IP. So I did a fresh install from .7zip it doesn't ask for the online serial which I
guess is now in the registry. I can connect to altbiere no problem, if I delete all .bck and all LOBBY* files
and create a new one it still doesn't connect.

I appreciate that this is very very frustrating for you and a bit annoying as well  :taz:

More so for us as we need all the drivers we can get  ;)

Please could you try to register again but leave the password blank

My .plr file for Race Department (also on Simbin lobby) looks like this
