Roller skate time. These poor little chaps don't get to run much  :'(
The cars seem close enough for some good battles through the field.

Any ideas on times yet? For me, the Abarth is nearly 2 seconds faster than the Mini, which is slightly ahead of the Elite, which is slightly ahead of the 7. However, the Abarth is definitely the 'live fast, die young' option ...

I will do my best to make the start in time. Did couple of laps last Sunday with the Abarth. Bit of a handful for such a small car indeed, but great fun on this track. Did not take note on times or tried the other cars yet.

Never did got to drive this track, but it is all it looked from watching BSB on the telly. Outstanding track, high on my favorites list. A good conversion, as it looks good too.

Anyone thinking of driving the Mini should be careful with the engine. I used the #077 Broadspeed Mini for a sprint race, and the engine expired with a few laps left to go.

The Mini will almost certainly be my car of choice, Walter. I haven't even installed the track yet, but I enjoy driving the Mini more than the others.

IMO, we have yet to see a decent version of Oulton Park for GTR2 or GT Legends. I am not sure why this hasn't been done yet....

Sorry about the dive at the hairpin, Ivan. Wasn't supposed to be a passing attempt - I left my braking too late and had to throw it sideways. Sorry if it put you off :(

Mmm i found a stationary Mini in the chicane ::) scared the living daylights out of me and i rolled my car. Darn, dead last.
I was having lots of fun after a great start, i lost a couple positions. Then i got into my rhythm and was going nicely, until my flip that is. Good turnout tonight. Thanks all for racing :thumbup1:

It's good to be back racing with you guys, after so many weeks of other commitments!

I even got on the podium, but not in a way one can be proud of. In the Abarth one should at least be able to keep up with an Elite - but no chance of that if it's driven by John. John, please tell us you are right-foot braking and consuming some magic potion before the race ;)

Ed had a disco and should have been able to stay in front of me otherwise. On the whole, my scavenger tactics paid off - I took harder tyres and concentrated on not falling off, sacrificing a bit of speed, and had a great battle for third with Jack Sargent who was faster than me but not consistently so and eventually spun.

Congrats to the two really fast guys!

Walter mentioned about this league and I thought I'd join tonight. I was running 2nd for a while after a good start but the Abarth got the better of me a couple of times and I went off track. Many times I almost rolled the thing from taking the wrong curb too aggressively. Had a good battle with Niels for 3rd for several laps and then dropped back further from cooked tyres and more mistakes.

The Abarth and this track are a real handful!  ;D I was totally knackered by the end of the race.

Anyway thanks for the racing and I'll try and make some more meetings in the future.

No problem John. I'm wondering why the game disqualified me. If i've done something wrong i have to make sure this will not happen next time. Grats to the winners

Fell asleep at the start and lost a few places into T1 but managed to claw back to 3rd behind Jack. Had a nice few laps of chasing and eventually passed when Jack ran wide exiting Knickerbrook. Set about chasing down John, but then had a spin going through Cascades which put an end to any chance of catching him....grats on another impressive drive and in a slower car  8)

Seemed to be more than the usual booted issues on the server tonight which was a shame.

Results and Replay Posted

I seemed to be the only Lotus 7, didn't notice Stig leaving, so went to get a Fiat
and then couldn't get back in after several booted as cheat the race had started.

Yep, you guessed it we were on the official server. Mine is switched off, and is a 2 hour
round trip to switch it on.

Kinda disappointed. Got rear-ended again, on the second lap, then hit escape with one lap to go when I thought the race was over. Had some good close racing in between tho.

So, where are the boundaries at this track? Is it the white line, the edge of the pavement, or the curbs?

Supposed to be white lines meaning that at least two wheels must be on the "correct" side of them.

btw I`ll skip next race ... not at home.

Actually I believe that Matt is applying the rule of two wheels touching the tarmac, no matter what colour it is.

Good race today, sorry to those who had bad luck. This track was a welcome challenge for me. I didn't practice enough ahead of time. I made a few mistakes, and lost a few positions Legzy, Robiker and Superswift. The results show me ahead of Robiker and Superswift, but I finished the race behind them.

I was glad to see two new drivers, Bob and Jack join us tonight. Bob said that he tried to register with this website ahead of time, but that he never received the confirmation e-mail.

Thanks for the race,
Walter

Guess that was me Robiker, sorry to mess up your race. Your car seemed to be very stuttering for the first half of the race. I waited for you after the tab and we had a great couple of laps chasing each other and finally overtaking Walter. Thereafter I had my eyes set on Ledgy (also in an Elite) and in the final laps we had a close battle, but my engine died in the last short straight before the final turn and my Elite stopped just before the start/finish lineā€¦.

Was great to be back after a summer of no online activity, hope to see you next race!

It was a shame that I had to miss this race. The turnout looked to be pretty good, but after several practice laps I was getting an annoying muscle pain in my lower right back that wouldn't quit. After previous back problems several years ago, I tend to play it safe these days. Hopefully I will be fighting fit for the race at MoSport, although unfortunately I will not be racing the week after at Laguna Seca. When I first saw the car list for this race, I was looking forward to it. Then I noticed that it was an endurance race >:( After my aforementioned back problems, I no longer take part in really long races. Oh, well.......

Not sure what the official line is but I don't see much benefit going over the curbs on this track, especially with these small cars. I almost rolled the Abarth half a dozen times at least from touching the wrong curb at the wrong time.

The only place is out of the hairpin where I and other drivers were going wide on the exit over the red and white curbing. That is the line as far as I am concerned. Use all the road available.

I should be able to make Mosport in the 911 2.5 but I won't be racing at Laguna. I agree with Mogg, it is too long for me and I would quickly loose concentration and not enjoy it.

Nice to have another group of people to race with in P&G though!

Bah was having a great little race in a gaggle of 4 close running cars until my washing machine lunched itself into turn 3  :(

Turned up with no praccy and no setup and took the frisky little Italian job, not expecting much.
Qualy seemed to back up that thought in dismal low place.
Race was a different ball game, got a decent start and soon made up quite a few places. Got onto the back of zacek, mogget and postal. The four of us kept station for plenty of laps at the same pace and was shaping up for a great end to the race with legzy catching us fast too.
Then I got a better exit out of t1 and got up the outside of postal ready for t3 downhill lefthander. Postal rather crudely chopped me off and I had to dive to the inside. Only way I was going to stop in time was to use some engine braking but the little abarth was just too fragile for the downshift. Race over whilst 9th.
Better fun than expected, can we have some real cars again soon though ;)
