grrr....i will be on holiday  :(

really about time we used some new car sets too

Also, a bit of promoting on no-grip etc worked wonders for P&G3 attendance, it could do the same for the modern stuff. Just saying  :)

I've always been a fan of trying new mods, but attendance fingers in this league as H@L has tried, has shown I'm in the minority. We always get our bigger grids with the tried & tested GT's.
The thing is Mark, PnG3 is new & has growing enthusiasm, with new people trying it & looking for new places to race. While GTR2 is in its golden years with most people established racing in whatever league, looking more for the next Sim.
That's not to say its not worth you spreading the word, picking up a couple more drivers would be great for us all (or doing some car testing with a view to adding a couple more cars)

The race has been changed to a lap count rather than timed race.

1st post updated to lap count.

2:20:8xx in F430. I'd be quite satisfied with it if there weren't that records there... Can you ask Dave to tuck them away someplace?  :P

Edit: 2:195xx with Gallardo. Would happily share my setups if anyone wants them.  :)

Wanted to try something different, I think the Porka Bi-Turbo matches that description ;D

& so the race started with about 15 mins of Bi-Turbo driving under my belt to date :-X

Think I had the potential to have a good race with H@L & Prof, as I had the pace but I just lacked consistency. I did make one mistake where I caught too much kerb & got spat round early on, but other than that, I was somewhat mystified why as we entered the 2nd half of the race & my front tyre wear was higher than my rear, I was starting to suffer the old Porka rear-end coming round unpredictably syndrome ???. Was a shame, as I was trying to get back up the field, but everytime I caught people I went to overtake & span :'(

Aah well, will play the setup a tad safer next race from what I've learnt.

My first league race for nearly two years. Nice to see many of the same people still racing.

I was shocked with my third in qualifying but then got mugged by Pete on the first uphill straight in the race (rather like Seb did to Lewis this afternoon). After that, I had the pleasure of watching the fast people disappearing whilst having no real pressure from those behind - I am sure that will change and there will be some close racing. The Ferrari seems to go round the corners nicely but seems to lack grunt in the fast bits I was never any good at setting cars up in the old days and don't expect to start understanding it any better now.

I shall try to attend more regularly this season in both divisions if I can.

Well, that was some of the most interesting racing in months. :) Initially, I have to apologize to Apex. A small touch was enough to get him to spin and Pete went through. I kind of like it that you won in the end, Apex. I did start a great racing in three, though. :) Positions were changed quite a a few times until power of porker and beemer left me for dead. Yes, F430 is underpowered. ;) We'll see it on other tracks but I don't expect very much out of this car and just hope to mess things for others. :P

I think that Spa and the M3 were meant for each other. The combination made me much more competitive than I'd normally be. As Prof said the Beamer power allowed me through on the first lap but the other cars being quicker through the corners made it hard for me to either keep up with Apex and TT or to pull away from Prof. The little incident TT talks about gave me the chance to get involved ;) The M3's power then giving me the chance to mug Apex to take the lead when powering up the Kemmel straight. However Apex was mighty through some corners and I've never been any good through Stavalot. Once Apex got passed there, and stayed ahead where I was stronger, he edged away each lap. TT however continued to give me grief until a couple of small errors gave me a little gap which was enough for me to hang on to for the last few laps.

Great to be racing again and, like Prof, I'm going to try and do as many races as possible. Roll on a fun season ahead with some more close racing like last night :)
