I liked knowing how many laps there would be during the race too Truetom. A successful experiment on Sunday imo.

Lap count now added. 1st post updated.

All races will be lap counted rather than timed this season. I only just got round to sorting it. Sorry.

TT When you do drive a GT1, are you going to make a return to the Markos?

Would be nice if people could indicate what car they intend to take?
Would just be a shame if we all turn up in the C6 Vette (normally about 40% of us ::)). I'd like to do some laps tomorrow night & would help me save time not testing cars others are going to be in. Ta 8)

Im torn between the c6 and the lambo. A second or so quicker in the vette but lambo more stable.

A second or so quicker in the vette
That's why everyone turns up in the Vette
Maybe C6 should be banned for any driver who's won a championship before (till it's "equalised") tumbleweed

Just want to point out that our subscriptions were down last quarter so this means there's a shortfall to make up this quarter.  :nono:

Wow what a race, gave the Aston a try at about 7:50 & it felt good, so went with that.
Stuck it 2nd on the grid after fluffing sector 1 on my only real attempt to place a qually time, but was happy with that.
Apex was just too solid the whole race, his only week spot being the busstop chicane.
All I could do was follow closely trying to keep the pressure up, I got level once or twice & my nose ahead for about 50 yards once, but as we entered the final lap I'd basically accepted 2nd.

Then as we approach the busstop for the final time, Apex sensibly went into it quite cautiously & it threw me for a second & had to wrestle the car back, I wonder if that distracted him because suddenly Apex veered off (too much power too quickly?) wide left leaving me with an open inside line. Went for it as i saw him recovering so kept it extra tight in the hope we wouldn't now collide, but credit to Apex who left me more than fair room 8).

Managed not to mess up the final hairpin & collected a rare chequered flag :)

p.s. As QS said, nice to see the decent grid & with Lazlow due to return (after about 2 years) next week and hopefully TT & Pete will be back... might need to get in early to avoid disappointment ;)

The race didn't start too well for me with my monitor deciding to switch itself off on the first flying lap.  :helpsmilie:  I did my best to blindly park my car on the side of the track while I turned it back on. Hopefully I didn't cause any issues for anybody. I took a bit of aero damage when I hit the side.

Once I got going again I had some good battles with Matt, SRW, H@l before catching up with the Prof & Spanner fight on the last lap. It all seemed to get a bit messy at the bus stop chicane with Spanner going wide and Prof then slowing down - I assume to let Spanner back past. I wasn't sure if I should let them both past again but as I'd not been involved in the incident decided to continue to the end.  :) Felt a bit bad that I'd didn't stop.

Sorry, came too late. Seems like a nice spread of cars and drivers. MC12 was missing.  ;)
Will make some laps and compare my laptimes to see if I'm competitive for other races.
