Sorry chaps, had to change car as after the last race it became very apparent I couldn't drive the Lambo (felt like a Porka to me :o) with constant corner entry spinning was no fun.

So downloaded the track @7:45 tonight, figured I'd go with the Panoz that I've not sat in since 2011  though I knew it would be a bit of a barge round all the corners here & started working on a race setup through practice & qually.
So was quite pleased landing it about 5th/6th on the grid, knowing I'd be able to recreate the times & hopefully better them in the race.
Did what I could through the corners & used the power on the straights, managed to get fastest lap (at time of writing ;)) on about lap 5 & found myself in 2nd & gaining on the leader Apex. But my medium tyres were already shot away & I was having to put the power down so gently or I'd get corner exit oversteer spins. I didn't have the skill, but I know what to tweak to improve it for the next race hopefully.

Ended up with an early bath as Quicksilver had spun ahead & while trying to get out the way, span himself round & back across the track unfortunately. I had a puncture & suspension damage, him the same I assume :(

Still a nice little warm up for back here in the GT1's next week ;D

That was a good race this eve punctuated by frustration at not being able to consistently keep it on the black stuff!
Qualied 6th or 7th with a 2:01.
Kept it clean for first 10 mins or so and found myself running 5th after others had excursions at t2  :P soon it was my turn to fall off up the top of the hill, where I managed to run myself wide 3 times in the blinking race  ::) seems I was fine running in clean air but as soon as I got closer to a car in front I'd drop off!
Had good fun 2nd half chasing Pete hard but my errors kept letting him off the hook every time I closed him down.
Finished decent 6th but should have been top 5 on pace. Great track this but very costly to get a wheel off anywhere and the high speed switchbacks on low downforce are a challenge in a pendulum porka!
Felt like a proper race though  :)

If you look at the lap times I was not very competitive here in the Beamer but I managed a pretty clean race, just running wide on a couple of occasions. Tortoise and Hare as Prof said on TeamSpeak after the race.

H@L chased me down and out braked me in to T1, sadly he out braked himself at the same time.

MJ was much quicker but, as he said, made too many small errors and kept giving me back the second he had taken out of me the previous lap. Kept me honest though :)

Enjoyed this race, probably the first time for a Suzuka race, me and this track don't usually get on.

Am quite ok with P2 after Q5. Heh, this sounds strange. :D
Difficult race, was on limit most of the time, though it wasn't really enough. Apex was playing some game towards the end, what was that? Good racing with nsfast, nice side-by-side action through some corners. :)

I'm skeptical about winning this Championship, Laguna maybe, Road America - no way I can win with F430, those long straights...

Was driving with wing 4 last night and only diff power 70% helped me get close enough to stay in slipstream on a finish straight.

Well that was a disaster.

Quali went relly well and was suprised to get under the 2:01 mark for 2nd. Went for hard rears as the soft overheat within 3 or 4 lap and that was a mistake i fell off prety much every lap. Have to grovel to legzy for ending his race i didnt realise you was comming up so quick so i spun trying to get out of the way and caused a collision and something went on my car as it just veered to the left so that was it.
