Hi Cookie

I just saw : « Last Edit: Today at 09:00:15 AM by Cookie »

34 would be right. Approximately 1.5 minutes per lap: 34 laps*1.5 minutes=51 minutes total race time I have changed it back ;)

It was looking like being a good race right up until the moment the flag dropped and everything in my car went quiet!!! I cannot remember the last time I blew and engine off the line. Actually I never even got to move off the line lolol.

Hope you all had fun and grats to whoever climbed the podium.

Sorry Tristan but there was severe warping/now you see me now you don't. On my connection you simply disappeared and re-appeared again right in front of me. Just you and Fran left I think. Good luck to both of you.

I can now sadly say, I'm not as good a driver as Jackie Stewart.  It was an unfamiliar car, I took to Monza. And a major effort, to get it to go at a reasonable speed, while using the track.

I was amazed to be up to 3rd in a couple of laps, after being showered in kindness and debris.  But sadly, I was not alone, and soon spun avoiding the car behind.  We'd first swapped places, before I swapped ends.  Then, a half lap later, my motor expired seriously, as apparently, I couldn't make ends meet.  Perhaps I should've been wearing a Kilt? ::)

Probably not the correct series to say this,  but that turned out to be a lot of fun.

Was at the end of qually,  when I noticed that internet upload was maxed out for some reason.  Maybe that could help explain the very high ping reports [760-800ms] to the race server from iGor which kept saying for a while that I could not join as a result  :o

Then all became clear - somebody away from home was streaming telly via the Slingbox! On a Tuesday night!  Not for long!  Just managed to get that cut off with about 3 seconds to the start sequence.  Phew!

I was at the back,  so did not see whatever happened - but was then up in 3rd.  Hmm, that would surely not last long.

Mr Logan was clearly hampered;  as we shared the same stretch of tarmac for what seemed a very long time.  In the meantime Andreas & David came & were gone.  Of course,  I was hoping I'd have been able to stay closer just in case an opportunity arose;  but not tonight.

There were a few excursions of my own,  but nothing too damaging.

Very satisfactory from my point of view;  but I guess the championship leader into this race was probably less delighted. Although;  looks as a though it could have been worse - what with now-fluffy Clive & Mr Bot falling by the wayside.

Typical; about the best finish I could ever hope for & I still can't contribute to the team haul tonight!  Congrats chaps.

Cheers all,
Dave.

Fun race chasing and passing Dave Curtis only to watch him just power his way back past several times until Dave Rainier came through and I made a few unforced errors, yet I feel it would have been even more fun if I'd been allowed to have a car capable of anything but the last row of the grid, but the powers that be decided that my nearest competitors in the championship (that, interestingly, even though I'm "ahead" in the points totals and finished ahead of both of them in this race I still have to outscore by 8 and 9 points respectively, just to tie them at the end of the season) needed me to be in a marked slower car (despite, between them, having taken every pole this season) and saying anything about that might sound like griping and we'll have none of that, tyvm.

Grats to the podium.

TBH I was sorely tempted to take the Eagle for this race, and had it been any circuit except Monza I probably would have as, I like the handling. But I was seduced by the power of the Lotus BRM and the fact that a few laps in offline praccy showed a 2 sec advantage was there for the taking.
I guess the GPL gods saw my avarice and stuck a large spanner into my flywheel as I sat on the grid.!!!! That'll teach me to get gready.  :-\

Disappointed to miss last night as I love Monza but I was quite unwell and it is difficult to really nail the Lesmo while driving a porcelain bus...

Results in.

Tough luck Francesco. When I disconnected and looked at who was still racing I could only see you and Tristan. Having looked at my own and the server replay something odd was going on. At the very least  I assume it was me warping in and out when I ended my race behind Tristan. Sorry if I damaged/slowed your car for the rest of the race.

Grats to the podium in particular Andreas who clearly recovered well from our skirmish on the entry to the Parabolica. You took the outside line and I took the inside and somewhere along the way we met. Glad to see you were more than able to continue.

Thx, I am very glad to recover from that "Scharmützel" at Parabolica.  :) I kept the outside because I knew that you were on the inside. But then you started to get wide more and more to "my" outside. That lead finally to your front-wheel which touched my rear wheel. First I was ...hmm... angry. But in the end I am happy to have a win with the Redcar in the temple of Speed.  :)
So long

No damage, the problem at the start with Elvinclive gave me fun, because i have lost 2 or 3 place and after this i was in battle with Maddog,Curtis and probably Logan(on the Eagle?). Unfortunately the fun did not last long, only 3 laps.

Tristan

you are 3rd at the championship (before Monza moderation) so you probably could select Group I or II cars, 2 liters only.

Dean to the Group I only, and Andreas to Group I and II.
I think it has not a great importance on a track like Surfer's Paradise... but after this one, it will be the turn of AVUS, a track where maximum HP will help !
