Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Thanks Tony, I've now had chance to look at track and select a car.  Visitors due any time. staying till Sunday then off on unplanned holiday with she who must be obeyed.  :notworthy:  Her long term mate, who she has annual late spring holiday with, screwed up dates and double booked, so being a hero I'm substituted for her whilst she holidays with son.  :nono:

Off early Monday morning missing the Le Mans race - hope to race here when I get back if not too knackered.  ;)

Slightly under 2:10 in the Commodore 3000, only 2:19 in the Skyline (no suitable setup),
but AI does times between 2:04 and 2.06  :-[.
However - looking forward to this one - nice and funny track.

Hi guys, looks like i am back for this one. Tried the 911 yesterday which seems quite fast over a single lap, as i managed a 1.08 in it. However it is suffering from a lot of initial understeer and even worse, snap lift-off oversteer which is causing me to spin every other lap. So it needs some tweaks to get it to behave, but possible be slower. Well, to finish first...... ::)
Hope to see a nice spread of car makes tonight!

P.s. how can i select the other cars and only the ones allowed for this series to be driven by the AI? As i select the car class and all my other (downloaded) cars of this class are then on track also.

You need a third party add-on like Garage Manager or similar which controls which cars can be selected and which cars cannot. I think this is the one I use http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=22345

Nice track combo Tony.  About 10 secs off  the pace seems to be my benchmark these days – still I enjoy racing and have my moments.  ;D

New PB in practice, another passing, trying to pass and chasing Kurt.  Kurt must have had an big off as I passed him before he could get back up to speed.  He passed me and I had a couple of attempts to dive down the inside on consecutive corners only to be re-passed on the inside as he went in wide and cut back with more pace.  ::) Good fun, the GP boys wouldn't have been ashamed of those passes.  :thumbup1:

Grats to Postal on win
Grats to Podium

Not fast enough or consistent to compete with the fast drivers but was pleased to get a 2.08+ in the Beamer, lonely race for me gap getting bigger to cars in front and gap to cars behind staying put, after half way my lap times were increasing not improving prob not got knack of setting up car yet. Still like Bill enjoyed the race and these cars are fun to drive.

A somewhat disappointing race for me.

Knocked over 1 sec off my offline pb in qualy, landing me 3rd on the grid. A strangely slow start from both Clive & Postal propelled me into the lead - most unusual, as I'm nearly always the one left in the dust at the start.

This gave me the opportunity to hold up the fast guys for a few laps, until Postal lost patience and forced a pass. Unfortunately we collided and spun.  The tyre smoke was so dense that I absolutely could not see any approaching cars. Didn't dare move, for fear of cutting in front of oncoming cars, and lost a fair few seconds.  Still caused Kurt to spin when I finally did move - sorry about that mate

Rejoined in 5th behind Roger, whom I later passed again. Couldn't keep pace with Clive, so remained in 4th.  Later in the race, as my front grip, motivation and concentration were all slipping, the gap grew - it seemed I went slower and Clive went faster.  Only on the last laps, when he had a couple of offs, did I get close again, but nowhere near his pace, so not at all able to mount a challenge. (Ferocious Nissan sound unfortunately wasn't enough to make him loose his composure..  ;))

Cheers,
Erling

Clive and me were in hot pursuit as we followed you guys into Wurth. The smoke was dense and I was convinced I would collect one of you. The replay shows that I had a very, very lucky escape. Thought I might actually win this one! But a mistake by me, also at Wurth, left me crawling out of the kitty litter and Postal took the lead. Never had a hope of catching him after that and the remainder of my race left me trying to fend off Clive's huge motor. I only kept second place due to Clive's mishaps under braking. Great racing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Monaco next which is one of my least favourite circuits so I don't expect to do so well there.

Concerning the result not an unusual one for me.
However it was great fun and a great fight against worsening handling of the car.

Registered new PB's in free practice and quali each and another two during the race
 - improved over more than three seconds from Sunday to raceday.

Bad start as usual, then I could pass Roguk throughout the slipstream on main straight
but dropped to penultimate spot again in the big shuffle - no prob, Erling.
After that I made some slight mistakes and from around lap ten the handling of the car
worsened and became unpredictable. So I shortly dropped to last place when Bill was
able to catch me. Needed some time to adjust myself to the new behaviour of the car,
but then had some steady laps which made me quite content. Towards the end of the race
handling and especially the left front tyre worsened once more and I had my special
problems to see the finish line (sorry Tony  ::) )

The fun is that counts!

Grats to the podium.

Hope to see some more turnout during the next weeks  :( Great series!

I confess that I had no time to do any preparation for this race, although I knew the track ( except for that last chicane!! which caught me out on the very first lap!!) and only selected the beefy Commodore as a car that I thought was my least favourite thus far and would be no great waste. Real Life is proving to be very time consuming lately and my GPL racing has suffered because of commitments so I am getting my sim racing fix here when I can.

As it turned out, I think I am beginning to understand the handling of the GTL motors and I was pleased with my pace in qually.

The race was great fun with the thundering Commodore against the screaming Mini of Tony, I don't think Tony knows how close he came to being steamrollered on a couple of occasions when my car started to lose directional control under braking  ::) The contest between the brute force of my car and the nimble Mini was magic. I really had to attack those corners to keep the mini within range for a lunge down the straight and that ruddy last chicane proved a real headache  as I tried to carry speed through there without bouncing over the kerbs or running wide onto the gravel.

It was the brakes that proved my undoing in this race. Am I right in thinking that the braking is something that the game "adjusts" if they get hot or badly worn?? Maybe it was just my heavy left foot or downshifting too early?
On another positive I managed to use more of my tyres in this race...I got to about 50% used which still means I am not pushing hard enough I guess.

Grats to Tony and Postal and I could send Mabel and Arnold over to see Erling and help with the tuning of that Nissan.......if he feels he can cope with them  ;)

You can adjust brake pedal "sensitivity" under the controls section in game. Bill has said that the latest version of XD shows brake wear though I've never felt my racing has suffered due to it.

I took the 911 for this one. Made a setup which was somewhat stable during the whole race. Had a bad start after it tried to spin, then shifted up one to many. So i was suprised only Erling overtook me.

Thought i could out pace him on the long straight, but suprisingly his noisy Nissan was pretty darn fast. As it took me two laps to get any temp. in the tires i decided to just keep the pressure on. He was sideways on the exit of the tight lefthander, so i drove up the inside. And Erling; i did not lose patience, you just didnt had a great exit. I am sure i passed you almost completely into the braking zone, so i don't feel i have done you wrong mate. To bad it spoilt our races a bit, as it was shaping up to a very good race.
Nice to see all different makes on track too. Had a hard time reeling in Tony and also his Mini was quick enough on the straights to keep me behind. Too bad you ran into the gravel later on Tony, great racing.

No worries Postal - you were on an ackward line for the corner and I could have backed off earlier; just a racing incident. At least it didn't cost you any positions in the end this time  ;)

Collision detection isn't exactly perfect btw:  ;D
