Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=418&theme=5)

No, you are right, it is the "can-am" variant.

Seems a big gap to this one from the way the others ran, but FWIW a couple of laps in each gives:
Roadrunner  2:10.0
Charger       2:11.0

The charger could be good here as it's a power track, but hits the rev limiter on the main straight
so doesn't get up to it's top speed.

It's the final round and we are left with the least popular cars to battle it out with.

Matt looks favourite to take the top step but I'm sure Erling will not be making it easy for him. There's also a four way battle for the remaining places

Well Matt is not going to be taking anything this year  :'(
I am banished to London next week Tuesday onwards, but need to travel down Monday Evening  :taz:
I have looked at late or early morning trains but I can't get across London in time for the class start

The Charger does reach it's top speed here but I find the Plymouth the easier to control. Still cannot decide which to use  ???

grats to the silverware brigade.

I really enjoyed the learning curve with these beasts, trying to reign in the temptation to unleash all those horses and shred the tyres in the first 3 laps. Which of course I failed to do in the the first few races with obvious results  lol  ;)

Thanks to Tony for organising and for all the help I received from everyone in getting my act together.  ::)

Should be chuffed about winning the Championship, but doesn't feel quite right - it's like I stole it from Matt.. ;)   Had he been present, it's almost certain he would have won it. I needed to score at least 8 points more than him to snatch it, and that would seem very unlikely, given that I couldn't even match the laptimes he posted pre-race.

Race itself; well I really should have watched the 2nd half of the handball match instead, but needed a few points to make sure Postal didn't steal the Championship I was stealing from Matt..  :D

Embarrassingly far off the pace here, and in total awe of the speed of the front runners. Made another dreadful start, getting jumped by pretty much all who weren't ahead of me already. Chased after Kurt during the first laps, with Roger in close pursuit.  Made it past Kurt, when a small off-track excursion resulted in a loss of momentum.  Then had him chasing me for a few laps, until he fell off more severely and was replaced by Roger.  Slowly built a gap, but that to Postal and Tony was growing faster, so no chance of catching them.  Race thus turned rather lonely and uneventful.  Only excitement came late in the race, when I put my right rear onto the gravel, when entering the runway, and promptly spun off.  Brought Roger 10 secs closer, and those ahead even further out of reach.

Grats to the podium; most impressive speed guys!

It has been a very fun series; thanks to Tony for organising and to all participants.

Cheers,
Erling

This one will stand out in my memory as I spent the entire race battling one other driver. Knew that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the Evil one but had high hopes of a podium finish as long as I didn't bin it, which I also knew I was quite capable of doing. After a couple of laps Clive was in the distance and Postal was some way behind me. However lap after lap Postal came closer and closer. Then he was near enough to challenge me in some of the turns where he had the better control and speed, but I had more top speed so I could retake a lost position on that long long straight. This happened a couple of times. What Postal had to do was get enough lead on me so that I wasn't close enough at the beginning of the straight to be able to catch and pass him. Of course he managed to do just that and so for many many laps I had to tail him, hoping he'd make a mistake. Tyres were getting worn and the car was becoming very lairy to control in the tighter turns. Postals lead on me was increasing and it was all I could do to keep him in sight. Then, after the start line, a puff of cloud from somewhere in the esses complex. Someone was off, but was it Postal? As I entered the first turns I saw Postals car over on the right hand side and powered past him. Managed to build up enough time to keep him behind me for the remaining couple of laps although it was very very close on the final lap. Just managed to reach the line before him as a slight contact between us had spun me but Postal being a true gent had waited to let me pass. Great race, great cars too. Really enjoyed that one.

"What Postal  Clive had to do was get enough lead on me so that I wasn't close enough at the beginning of the straight to be able to catch and pass him. "

LOL  my thoughts exactly as I was sat on the grid.  ;) I had tried that Dodge Charger and knew how quick it was down the straight, so I was well aware that the first few laps could screw up my chances if I got jumped and stuck behind a faster. So I drove it like I stole it for the first few laps, then I had to manage the tyres for the second half of the race just cruising around the faster corners and avoiding lighting up the rears with a heavy right foot.

I was watching that battle between Tony and Postal on the leaderboard all through the race and at one point I almost crashed when I realised that Postal was into 2nd and beginning to eat into my nice comfy lead, so I popped in a couple of faster laps just to keep myself awake and safe.

Great to see that there is more of this to come next year  ;D with the yank tanks

That was a nice race to end this series with! Had it  in my mind to run the Charger for this event, however a lack of practice time directed me towards the Roadrunner as I had a setup for this car and I would only had to concentrate on learning the track in qually.

Managed to qualify in 4th position and had a good run off the starting line slotting into 3rd behind the cool looking Charger of Tony. When I found my rhythm and strung some clean laps together I started to close in on Tony. From then on it was like cat and mouse for a number of laps where we swapped positions over and over. Me trying to force the Roadrunner past the Charger in the twisties and Tony waving (and grinning) to me as he roared by on the straight again. :P
Finally I had me a small gap to Tony whereby I could manage to keep in front at the end of the straight and noticed that the gap to Evil Clive was huge. So no hopes in catching him. However I still had the silly idea  to try and improve my best lap time and as a result I spun it in the fast esses after T1. Dohhh!!

Tony waving at me again as I restarted the car. Tried to keep him honest for the remaining four laps and sure enough I was about a second off at the final lap. At the back straight Tony pulled a bit of a gap, but I wasn’t letting him get away with it that easy!
Entering the braking zone for the 180 degree T9 I noticed Tony on the normal, wider, racing line. I did not hesitate and released the brakes a bit and pointed it to the inside of the corner. Put it into a 4 wheel slide to scrub off speed and crossed my fingers so I would not torpedo Tony out of the way. The plan almost worked…. It put my Roadrunner right at the rear bumper of Tony’s Charger. Well.. actually into his rearbumper… Darn, that made Tony spin out. Luckily the bump wasn’t too hard and we could both continue to the finish line. Some nice driving Tony!

As said; nice to see these tanks again in the next season!
