Can’t say I was overly disappointed to retire. I was well of the pace. Grats to tris for a very fast pole and to who ever got thru it. Sorry to cookie for the tap, I tried to bale out, glad to see you continue. Glad that ones over, see you next time.

After the F2 race this was bound to happen.

I have not looked at a replay yet Clive but at the time I thought I was ahead out of the corner but I suspect you had better traction and was making the ground back on me and we touched. Sorry if I did not leave you enough room but no hard feelings on my part. Apologies if your car is damaged but I expect you nonetheless to beat Tristan tonight to give me a fighting chance in the last race. Seriously good luck to everybody still running.

That T1 melee was a sight to behold, and try as I might I could not get through cleanly. From there I made several mistakes trying to push hard enough, and eventually the engine decided to drop a couple cylinders, then the car dropped a wheel at the same corner 3 laps later. The final hurrah came on 3 wheels at the end of Conrod, when the car lodged in a barrier for good, at which point I bade farewell to the mountain and await final reckoning in the valley of Vallelunga.

Big apologies Ronnie  :-\  I tried to stay wide...I knew that someone had crept up the inside .

Yes I did get good drive off the wide line and yes after a quick look at the replay we did ( just) touch and strangely you got the worst of it. Usually it is the car on the outside that suffers ::). Put in a report and let the mods decide I think.

I think it would have been an interesting 3 way ( at least) scrap if that had not happened?

I also failed in my attempt to beat Tristan!!  lol I was happy to sit behind him and hope to challeneg on the last few laps and all was working well. Even managed to keep tyres and engine temp under control. But then I made a small mistake and allowed Tris to build a gap. I was almost back in range after some edge of the envelope driving in the waza and I put a wheel on the grass, exactly where one does not want to put a wheel on the grass.
That was it, the gap was just too big unless Tris made a major mistake and by then I knew I had fuel problems so I had to back off and only just made it over the line with zero fuel left.
Grats to Tris who was fast and made fewer mistakes than me and also to Norm who took the final podium step.

Managed to keep it out of the scenery for 19 laps, but those hungry hungry haybales finally ate my Brab after a great fight with Cookie. Couple of thoughts tho:

Gareth: please allow the car you're passing a full half of the track width (even if it means losing a draft).

Cookie: your lane change on the Conrod lap 12 was just way too late for safety.  :o

The strategy of the condor begin to give results but my error is arrived too early, normally was at the last lap.
Frankly speaking i have not understood in which way all the others are so fast,i must study the replay with replay analyzer.
To me seem that on the straight i loose some Km in speed but of course is not here the problem of my lap time.
Since i'm not at home for the next race at Vallelunga i close here my race with the Professional but with better results than the Historic .
I  wish to all Merry Christmas.

Yes Dean, sorry for that, I underestimated your closing the gap :notworthy:

Besides that a fair and great battle!
But it had eaten too much of my fuel, so I had to resign and give Norm the well deserved last podium place  ;)
Grats to Tristan, Clive and Norm :thumbup1:

Dean (DL) is this seasons most successful BT11 driver so I have been on board with him at Opatija & Schottenring to see if I can learn anything. He brakes later than me, no, A LOT LATER, so things get a bit hairy at times but he's getting results, so...........
Practiced this one a lot & was getting nowhere so I did what your not supposed to do & changed everything on my set up all at once, radically!. Amazing. over 3 secs off my PB & the sweetest handling car I've had for ages. That qually time was no fluke.
In the race after the T1 carnage I followed Gareth & eventually we were behind the DL Cookie battle. I hadn't the speed or ability to join in. Gareth did & crashed out. They didn't exactly get rid of me either till I had a spin but then I caught up a bit later on. Boy was the dust flying I kept thinking they must have crashed but they didn't. So when I saw yellow flags at the cutting & DL burried in the wall I can't say I was supprised. Happy though ;)'cos I was 4th. Then Cookie pulled in at the pits & I strolled it home for a podium. The first time I have passed the chequered flag this season at the 9th attempt. Time for a couple of dinky doughnuts at the pit exit a quick "YeeeeHaaaa!" on chat & I left the circuit a happy GPL'er.
My best pro race drive ever & I had luck on my side with the spins not hitting anything. Had to come right one day & it just did!!!!!! ;D. Well done to those who finished & commiserations to those who didn't.
UMMM?? wonder if this set up will work at Vallelunga ;)

Sorry to all concerned. I had no idea at the time that anyone else was caught up in this apart from myself and Clive.
