I was lucky enough to be there with a group of guys from UKGPL.....it sounded better in the flesh!!!

BTW there are some of us going again this year, always room for more simracers, even if they are from the "tin top" brigade   ::) look here for evolving details of the plan ( lol as if there is a "plan!")

For reference: My server was running 3.0 which was killing the logins to it
as it was a new install of an old copy, is now 3.1 and seems to be ok.

A great and very challenging track, that fits the Ferraris well IMO.

Stability will be essential or as in my case most likely crucial  ;D

I KNOW how to do the uphill hairpin turn right ........ but I only get it right one out of 3 :-((

Nice track, would look great with some dusk lighting...how about it?  :) had a GC race at Riverside the other night set at early dusk and it was almost breathtaking, really adds to the atmos and immersion  8)

this forums like a ghost town this week  :(  shame the two fezzas are so worlds apart in laptimes, so expect a single spec race.

I'm sure John & the Italians will drag some unbelievable laptimes out of the SWB!  :o

I like the idea of dusk, but the timing options in GTR2 are limited to jumps of an hour, so you will probably
get masses of sun in your eyes for the first few laps, I will test.

For me at least, the 275 is the faster car, but the 250 Compet is not far behind, the other 250 is weeks behind the 275
The 250 competzione was no more than 2 secs a lap slower in my hands. The aliens  :alien: will easily be more than 2 secs
a lap faster at this long lap track than midfield runners if they were in the same car. So in the 250 the front 3 will have to mix it with mid to
front runners, and could still win.

It is quiet in the forums these days, has everyone gone to Asseto Corse or something?

Great. Tesco delivery man at the door over an hour early. f.f.s. as they say.

Must have been missing a trick anyway, nearly two seconds down on Guiseppe's quali time :( Superb speed :thumbup1:

Tesco!?  We will have to add that one to the list.

Well, I was just going to say that I think that Matt's handicapping system is wonderful but then I looked at the championship table and saw what tonight's activities had done to me.

I though that I would at least have a couple of runs in the faster option before being nobbled.

Still, a win is a win and as they say it's not how it's how many.  And they are very rare!

Sorry to hear about John's groceries and also sorry to Otto if I caused him to spin at T2.  Off the start I had lost the whereabouts of Geoffers and was leaving room to my left in case he was lurking there.  He does a good lurk!  That caused me to be a bit slower than normal and may have caused Otto to spin rather than hit me.

Other than that, many thanks to Erik for a winning setup.  I put my head down and went for it and didn't make any mistake large enough to cause a problem.

I did have one dodgy moment when I was trying to figure out why I was about to lap Giuseppe when he hit the wall and vanished.

Results and Replay Posted

Was quite a fun race for me, ended the race trying to keep Postal behind, and just managed it
I took the older 275 and used the green tyres as they seemed to last better, not sure
that was true.

Unfortunate start with Giuseppe spinning doughnuts in the path of the chasing pack  :sweatdrop:
causing some people damage...

What were you saying about Fede last race ::)

Good pace from Clive to stay out front, not sure why some others dropped, John tried to run the Tesco man down
and failed, havn't looked at the whole replay to see why others left.

No problem from me Bob, it made no difference to my race. I was left at the back of the field with a broken car after the first lap pile-up, and nothing much mattered after that as I was always going to be cruising round at the back. Sorry you dropped out after our contact.

Congrats podium.

Hello guys, I'm very sorry for the mess that I've done last night and I apologize to everyone  :(
Unfortunately, the car went into a spin and I tried to move and turn around in a hurry to leave but I did not leave enough space for others drivers who came back, so I caused the accident  :stupid:
Congrats to Clive for exellent win and all driver for finish a race
See you next  :fencing:

Wouldn't that be good if it meant all Soggy Bottoms are now restricted to the slower cars

Had a good race last night. Didn't give me quite the same buzz as other events/cars but did a, ahem, professional job and brought the car home in 5th  :)

Qualied surprisingly well in a car I am not normally that great in.
Got swamped off the start as per normal  ::) (don't know what im doing wrong compared to the rest of you, considering I use manual clutch and gears) but managed to hold my own and regain a couple of spots under braking for T1/2.

Had a good early battle with Legzy for many laps, often side by side and totally clean, though he clearly had an advantage over me on pure race laptime (soft tyres?..or just better driving or using too much track?  ;) ), but he threw his lead away twice with spins in the third sector. Our close fought battle allowed Animal Ed and Hotkeys to catch us up towards the end of the race, and just like last week, Ed was able to steal my position and keep ahead. Don't know what happened to Stig but he smacked me up the jacksy in the final corner (no harm done) then appeared to drop right back and then shortly quit  ???
Chased Ed to the final flag and finished a happy 5th  8)

Was very pleased to see the quick guys take the gorgeous F250, very sporting and improved the grid visually  :thumbup1:

Shame the fezzas in P&G don't live up to their real world counterparts aurally, hence me not quite getting the same buzz I might in other cars.

NP, the fault is mine, for me to overtake the fastest cars I slowed down too much as a beginner, you can not slow down in the middle of a schicane, and then I did not even realize it was you....I thought it was giuseppe  ::)
Congrats to Clive and to the podium.
Giuseppe You're a rookie  ;D
See u next
Ciao

I left because I realised that if I finished 2nd I would be leading the championship & have a slower car for the next race! LOL.

Unfortunately that wasn't the real reason, was having a great battle with Jarda for 2nd place when I clouted the wall exiting T3. Fortunately the car ended up facing the right way & I carried on in 3rd place.................................... for about 300m & then the engine died!  ::)

Congrats to someone impersonating Clive * who won the race & also to Jarda & Otto.

* It couldn't have been Clive, this guy was fast.
