Hi everybody,

Some of you probably know me, because of my website Archeoskins (http://www.archeoskins.com) or because of endurance race we participate (24H Sakhir, 24H Spa...)

Few months ago, I started to work with a new international league named ISR-Series (http://www.isr-series.com/). Perhaps you'll recognize some names like Joeri Blootaker or Ron Bartsch, because the new league is the merging of two leagues, BeRacing and RacingLeague.nl with most of Belgium and Netherland drivers.
I worked on a mod that I called GTE with a mix of GT2 and GT3 cars with new graphics and physics. This championship started in october 2013 and will end march 2014. There are still 3 races to run : Brno the 3 march, Istanbul the 17 march and Spa the 31 march. The registration for this championship is FREE and everybody is welcome. You can enter the championship right now if you want.

We are also working on a future championship that will start in April. For this championship, we'll use some "special" cars, the old Group C with Sauber C9, Porsche 962, Jaguar XJR-12, etc...

Sounds interesting, especially as we've had just 5 drivers per race since November :'(

Here are some instructions to install the synchronisation tool to download the mod :

Download: SimRacingSync (http://sim-racing-software.com/sim-racing-sync/engine/sim-racing-sync/downloads/SimRacingSync_setup.php)

Install the sync program:

1.    Start SimRacingSync executable
2.    Click OK
3.    Click Next
4.    Click I accept the agreement
5.    Click Next
6.    Click Next or change folder if you want to)
7.    Click Next
8.    Click Next (
9.    Click Install
10.   Copy the file ConfigFtp.cfg (http://www.archeoskins.com/bbr/download/file.php?id=36) to your installation folder
         (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\SimRacingSync overwrite the existing file, if one exists)


Configuration of the SimRacingSync program:

1.    Game engine:
   Select Gtr2
2.   Select the game's folder where the executable is:
   Click browse and browse to your GTR2 installation folder and click Ok, and click Ok again.
3.    A new profile has been added.
   Click OK
   
Synchronize your game with the server:
   
1.   Choose the game to synchronize:
   Select Gtr2 in the pulldown menu and click select
2.   Availaible categories:
   Select ISR_GT and click Synchronize
3.   Synchronization is going to start
   Click OK
4.    Phase 1
   Do you want to synchronize GameData
   Select Oui pour tous
5.  Synchronization is succesful
   Do you want to display logs?
   Click Fermer

The game is now synchronized with the server.

So, is there some pilots interested ?
Did someone test the mod ?

On which days are the races? At what time? How long is the race? Qualifications? Weather changing or stable, rain or dry? Fuel, tyre consumption? All this I'd like to know. :) After 10 years+ of racing in GTR2 I became picky ... but would not miss the challenge of a new championship with more players. :) I expect the quality level of racing is on highest level? 8)  

Races are on monday. Next race is march, 3rd on Brno, for 75mn.
Time schedule is this one :
Practice: 19h00 - 20h30
Qualification: 20h30 - 20h50
Warmup: 20h50 - 21h00
Race:   21h00 - 22h15

This will be a little bit different for the last race because we will drive 120 mn :
Practice: 19h00 - 20h30
Qualification: 20h30 - 20h40
Warmup: 20h40 - 20h45
Race:   20h45 - 22h45

All times in CET (Central ,European Time) = GMT+1

don't know how I missed this thread. The cars look fantastic and sounds a great series but with 75min races as well as qually and practise I would struggle to commit to it on a weekday sadly  :'( Certainly couldn't do a 2hr one during the week.. The missus would divorce me!

Yes, we all use our real names (archeo => Arnaud Dumas). You can join this end of championship without entering a team  ;)

No, not working. Have no cars installed and when I try again is says "the file 1-ISR_GT_Skinpack is opened in WinSCP: SFTP, FTP and SCP Client".

Might be 'cause I recently set new system disk and didn't reinstall GTR 'cause it works. :-\

Forum name = racing profile name?

You can use the car you want but you must not change after each race. Guest livery, yes please.
Racing profil name should be your real name but you can use Truetom as forum name.

Archeo, what is with this humidity, what will the weather be at Brno?
Which session is valid for 107% rule? Quali 2?

For Brno, the weather conditions will be 21°C ambiant / 29% humidity, same in prequalifs than for the all race.
On the prequal page (http://www.isr-series.com/index.php/series/gt-series/gt-pre-quali), you can see the 105% limit. Prequalifications are made in Qualif 1.

going to have to pass this weeks race. I was out all weekend and never got to install everything. It also clashes with my GTL race this week. With only two rounds remaining it looks like I sadly missed the boat this time around. Will have to try and join you next season in either this league or your Group C mod.

Hmm, Archeo: nobody posting after race?

There are so few pilots, from so various nationality, that posting in english after the race is not usual. I hope that will change with new pilots.

I really apologyze for this race because it seems that we had a server problem and some pilots couldn't enter the race  :( That's the first time we had this problem and, unfortunately, the admin server had a broken PC and was not able to restart the server  :-\ I hope that will be solved for next race. We're also looknig for an easyer synchronization tool and next mod (Group C) is on a good way. Cars are not ajusted but they are ok to drive.

For our incident, it's ok for me. I saw you in my mirrors but I thought you were not able to overtake in this corner. And just after you wait for me (thx), I just forgot to brake...  ::) Car broken and engine at 0% => GAME OVER

I'm glad we're ok, though not glad that it happened. I need some more laps to be really competitive. :) I mean, to be only 2 sec / lap slower than the leader... :P

SR-GT | Race 11 | Istanbul | 17/03/14

Race 10 was a race with connection problems for a few drivers, my apologies that the server wasn't restarted. Actions will be taken for the next race that someone else can also reset the server when there is an issue like this. Newcomer Vincent Queudeville won his first race with us, congratulations !

Please pay attention to the rules of FAIR PLAY in racing.

Yea, not stable through Eau Rouge and tried it out a bit too reckless. Bad, 'cause I felt I had the pace. :(
Still not comfortable with the humidity variable, never know if it'll rain or not. Did it?

No rain for this race. For this championship, we decided to set a fixed weather so we had 13° ambiant and 41% humidity all race long.

But that will change for next championships. More informations soon  :)
