I was just not in the right frame of mind to be racing properly, and should not have started the GT race. I think I owe Doni and Fran a big "Sorry" for barging my way through and when i almost took Axel off a couple of times I realised that I should maybe retire before I wiped out any more cars. :o Title: Re: UKGPL Season 26 (2014) Friday Trophy - Aintree - Mar 21 Post by: Doni Yourth on March 22, 2014, 01:01:18 PM +0000 NP, Clive. I was a touch off form myself last evening.

I made a big mistake just before the start to change my setup a little to make the front less agressive!!! So I got way more understeer than expected... The MK4 felt great in Quali and its power would have kept me in the game, but in the race I had to fight with my stupid change. The CanAm was the other way round as I had a setup not really satisfied with, but in the race with more weight it felt great and fast... The Porsche race was a bit blah, but the Ferrari race was better - my car was a mess to start with but got much better as the fuel burnt off.

I'm not practicing enough either but as long as I'm not wrecking other drivers I don't mind. My apologies to whoever I bumped early in the Can Am race. It launched me off the track but luckily it appeared the other car was able to continue without much trouble.
Take care. Had the Porker setted very well and easy to drive, it almost made corners by itself and was fast enough. Very happy for my result.
Another story for the CanAm instead. I didn't have enough time to set the car well and the result has been clear from the beginning, Axel inflicted us (2nd and 3rd behind him) almost 1.5 secs per lap that says much about his preparation and...I finisced with still 6 galls of fuel in my tank, anyway congrats to Axel for the good win. I made some mistakes over the odds tho and Mark took the oppurtunity to take the 2nd place ;) Anyway, congrats to the podium's guys in front of me ;D |
