I'll tentatively pencil this one into my schedule.  Love street circuits!  :)

I probably will not be taking part in this one. Other engagements.

Not done a lap but I usually find that the 4-speed is better because the five gears are invariably all in the wrong place.  ;D

For me at any rate.  ::)

Good luck then CLive  ;D
I find that the gap between the gears is unfriendly in the 4 speed, and the 5 is always faster for me.
If you can overcome the disadvantage, then more power to your elbow.

I found that for me the gearing of the 4-speed is just right for this track, what seems to hold it back is the rock hard tyres, no grip at all!

;D  My elbows are in fine form thanks but I'm not racing.

I'll leave you all to "have fun" without me.

Well...  Wasn't that just peachy?

As qualifying rode out, my kids got home from high school and one of them logged on to the NET.  It killed my connection.

Internet died completely for me on the 3rd lap (while running in a close 3rd), shame as I was enjoying the combo very much

I overdrove the car badly today, and I am just lucky that I did not lose too many positions. Honestly, I even rolled the car on the straight. The corner workers flipped my car back over, and I continued on as if nothing had happened. Near the end of the race, I was driving more careful because I wanted to finish on the lead lap. However, I managed to park the car horizontally in the racing line with the leader seconds behind me!  :o  I am sorry for that Animal Ed. I am glad that it did not affect the results. Congrats on the win, and good race fellas!

A big thanks to A Ed for something he said in pre race chat that suddenly made my setup probs a lot easier.

I was moaning about the fact that I could not get the E-Type to turn and was even understeering into the wall on the long curved "straight". Ed commented that he had set his steering for 900 degrees ( possibly a joke, but it made me think!!). In GPL the steering adjustment is all about steering "ratio" i.e a steering ratio of 5:1 magnifies small inputs from my wheel into quite large movements of the steering rack on the car. So, I had been lowering the steering value in PnG to get more response from the front end.... ::) just as I would in GPL. But of course what I was actually doing was limiting how much lock I could apply !! The word "muppet" springs to mind.
I upped the PnG steering parameter to 30 ( from 5) and low and behold the car does turn corners   ;D .

To say that it transformed my experience would be an understatement. Suddenly, I was able to attack corners and correct slides.

The race went far better as a result and I was hoping to hold on to 2nd spot when Jarda started to close up at the end of the race . Ed was far away in front by then as I had eased back in the middle of the race scared that my medium tyres would wear out. It was only when Jarda got uncomfortably close that I realised I still had plenty of "green" left in the tyres with only 6 laps to go. I was able to up my pace and pull a small gap until I just clipped the armco at T2 and it pulled the nose around just too far to opp lock out of it  :-\ Jarda swept past and went 4 secs clear as I straightened things up.

I was more than pleased with being able to close the gap to zero as we started the last lap and tried a rather optimistic move down the inside at T1, but could not quite get it turned in soon enough to undercut Jarda and exchanged a small paint sample with him on the apex. ::)
That was my last chance as I stalled the engine as I let Jarda regain his place ( stalling is something else I have to get used to in PnG!) and Jarda easily kept his 2nd spot.

Hopefully, tonights little revelation might translate into some more satisfying laptimes for yours truly in future  :)

Chortle, I did tell you that lots of steering angle would help  :whistling:

Really low turn out tonight, must be something on somewhere.
Was a good race all the same

I kept spinning up the ramp to the high section, and was dropping further and further behind
shame as I seemed to be on the pace and was catching people, really sorry for spearing you
into the hairpin Walter, I was too busy watching Legzy in the mirror  :o

No problem, these cars are built like tanks. I wasn't sure what happened. At first I blamed myself for not watching the rearview mirror. Then I wondered if I could have hit a ghost car. It is a shame that you had to drop out of the race. I needed someone to keep me honest. Actually, I am sure that you could have beaten me handily if you had been able to continue. I was not very kind to my tires. They wore out well before the race was over.  :) My best laptime after lap 12 was a 1:46, and my worst was 2:16  :'(

LOL

That's a lot of water.  You should get away with it so long as you added lots of weight.

Oh, but there is. Personally I'm practicing US tank handling in California. It looks nice, but handles no better than my Renault Megane station car !

Nice car, I hope your stay in California is good. I hope to travel there someday. Of course, my family's luggage would never fit in a sports car. In the meantime, I will have to settle for racing at the GTR2 tracks in California.

Nice one Stig  :D

I am feeling the need for something @Laguna Seca, or maybe Sears Point, we've never run there with PG
