If it helps when starting the server via iGOR, you can limit the car choices to certain chassis. This is (usually) how 3l or ~2l cars are enforced. :)

I need to be limited to 5 litres! :D  This page has not yet been bumped up to the top of the list, for superior drivers?

You can choose this Mercedes W125 (engine 5,560 liters)

Just bumped it up!

Trying to setup the server I found that the hosting menue of the 66s does not show the full names of the cars! :o
So I am not able to restrict the choice to 3l cars, but I think it is not such an advantage to take a 2l car...

Make shure you have chosen the right car for the race!

GLA

and don't forget: we just play a game that's meant for having fun!

Grats to the "winners" of race and season (for managing to avoid the bullshit).

Let us know when the footie is over, thanks.

Chuffed with 2nd, tried killing that car so many times, and it kept (mostly) true. Felt wonderful to drive in the early part, then worse as it went on.

Enjoy it Jethro, I know you'll take it the right way when I say you totally didn't deserve it!

I am so gutted. Ronnie and I are were right beside each other the whole race and one lap from the end warp killed me. Ronnie made a bad exit out of T11 and as I closed up for the last left hander he started flickering badly - we'd overtaken each other several times, without incident (mostly at T1 though, not that corner). I don't think we made contact, pretty sure it was warp......what a cr*p way to end the season. That was as near perfect a race as I have ever driven....

Well done to Ronnie for a great race, congrats to Clive(?) for the c'ship. Thanks to all the moderators. Oh, and has everyone made a donation to server fund recently???

Congratulations Ray, Jethro, and Clive! Congratulations Clive on your championship! I would have liked to have tried racing with you guys but I'm not prepared enough in these cars to drive safely.

That's only the second car I've driven on this circuit. It sure doesn't drive as good as the 67 312. The 67 setup was a decent setup to start with but it needed some changes and could still stand a few more. I couldn't follow closely at all here. I'm sliding so much that any change in my rhythm and I'm out of control. My apologies for the scare coming to turn 1. I backed off a lot to make sure I didn't cause Clive any problems and I still spun out.

You were really crowding me near the end of qualifying Andreas. I might have saved it from the slide but I needed those few extra feet where Arf's car was sitting. That would have been a beautiful save.

Thanks guys. That was fun.

How far do you have to drive around the track backwards to DQ yourself from qualifying?

I drove from the pits taking the scenic route almost back to the hairpin and never got any indication I had been DQed from qualifying until I got back in the car in the pits again. I probably should have started from the pits but I was worried I might not cross the starting line at the start thus putting me down a lap.

The handicap system certainly kicks in on this track and the Eagle was really out gunned by those Brabs and the Fezzas, in fact by almost everycar on the track!!

I had a setup from a previous 66 race here and I thought it would be OK, well it was once I remembered how to drive the ruddy thing, because I think I crashed on my first 5 out laps in qually.  :-\

I confess that I broke my own rule of qualifying on race fuel in an attempt to get somewhere near the sharp end of the grid, although the times on the front row looked a bit ominous!!
The lack of grunt in the Eagle off the line, cost me all the places that I had gained in qually and I stayed very wide into T1 holding my breath and watching my mirrors. From what I could see in my mirrors it looked like everyone was very gentlemanly and all got through??

Once things settled down I found myself behind Andreas and frustratingly I could see the lead bunch just ahead, but I just could not find a way around Andreas to get at them!! His car had so much more grunt out of the corners, but was slower than me through the corners. So gradually the leaders crept away and despite being all over his gearbox in the corners Andreas simply powered away on any straight! :taz:
Sorry Andreas but I had to really pile on some pressure to force an error that would give me the chance of a pass, and it had to be somewhere around the hairpin so that I could build a defensive cushion before the long straight. Things were getting desperate as faster cars ( Greg and Martin) closed up from behind and I was a sitting duck ( as opposed to a soaring Eagle!) on the straights.
Eventuall Andreas wobbled through the tight Esses after the hairpin and I Had to go for it so I nailed the gas and got through just as we entered the L/R/L/R section.

The gap grew steadily after that and although I was almost holding the leaders in 4th, I could not close the gap without risking everything. So I was surprised to collect a podium spot, but wished that we had just a few more laps as Jethro was being reeled in in the last 5 laps and that could have been interesting  ;)

Grats to Ronnie and Jethro and commiserations to Arfx3 who I could see was having a royal battle with Ronnie all through the race.

A shame that Tris did not contest the final races as that would have made things much more difficult ( and fun  ;))

No need to say "Sorry", Clive.  :) I felt the good pressure and it was only a matter of time that you pass by. Congratulations for the Championship! Also Congratulation  to Ronnie for the Race-Win and all other Finishers! And a big "Thank You" to Dave for being a good Moderator in the Historic-Cup!

Totally agree. Fantastic race long scrap and I was genuinely disappointed to see you not able to fight for the win on the last lap or even get on the podium. I knew you would have a go on the last lap so the plan was to gap you in the slow part of the track before the long straight if I could. This did not work as in my attempt to get the power down a little earlier I simply lost traction and time to you. For sure I made a pigs ear of the exit of T11 and left you nothing but a face full of car or cars, sorry. Fortunately I got away with it but you did not, better luck next time out.

Grats to Clive on the championship.

Too right I didn't... i'd have been happy with 3rd and happy to survive, but if Clive hadn't smelt blood and played shark reeling me in I'd have been more comfortable! Made me panic a bit!

Moderation posted.
It was an easy one and also my last moderation for Historics series.

Grats to Clive and Team Blue Moose for the championship.
Bad luck for Tristan but I am sure he will be here again with Historics for season 27.
Nice 3rd place for Andreas !
