All members welcome Practice 1: 20:00 BST (10 mins) Qual 2: 20:10 BST (20 mins) Race: 20:30 BST (28 laps ~ 40 mins) - note: no warm up! Cars allowed: Any GT2 from the UKGTR car pack (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg54519#msg54519) v2.16.0.0 Track: Laguna Seca (v1.1.0.0) (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg76901#post_lagunaseca) Race Start Time: 14:00 Weather: Dry Tyre wear: Normal. Fuel consumption: Normal. Pit Stops:: None required. Server: simracing.org.uk GT2 Password: see above (#post_event_password) Notes: (1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.0) - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages. (2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=441&theme=3) (3) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above). (4) Drivers may only change car once in the season without penalty. (5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced. (6) Please use the Driver Details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=profile;sa=driver_info) page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name). qualified 4th, burnt up nsfast with raw power from the rolling start ;D & applied pressure to apex going up the hill. apex out braked himself going into the corkscrew, I managed to make the turn as I watched nsfast taking avoiding action behind me & spanner went into the back of him... so I'm suddenly in 2nd with both my expected rivals off track & as I wipe the sweat from my brow while still looking in my mirror... I touched one wheel off track & I was in the tyres & at the back >:( :laugh: :laugh: Recovered slowly back up through the pack & just as I got myself back up to 4th from apex, I threw myself off track for the 3rd maybe 4th time & killed my engine ::) Ah well, if you make it to the end of a race here, you weren't trying hard enough :P p.s. nice to see & hear you back Spanner x Title: Re: UKGTR Season 20 Lower Sprint - Laguna Seca - Jul 27 Post by: Truetom on July 28, 2014, 12:22:05 PM +0100 Seems like Legzy told me all of the race. ;) Pole position, good start (not difficult in front) and no mistakes worth mentioning. H@l followed for a while, closing a bit, then fell back. Almost (but quite) sorry I was not part of the hustle back there. ;D
