The Faltz Beemers are about a second faster than the RSR3.0 for me, which means they will likely get hammered
by top coliopterists.  ::)

I think the BMW may be faster in qualifying and in the first half of the race, and I think the 911 can be appreciated at a distance  :tank:
It will not be easy to tell who will win  :fencing:  :punk:

I found that the BMW soft tyres were shot after 18 laps.

But it was nice to drive until then.

18? don't you mean 1.8!  :D

Yeh left front is red within 2 laps! Will need to use mediums (or even hards) on the front.

LOL

Glowing red but still working for 18 laps.   ;D  Then I was likely to end up in the pit lane whilst trying to make the final corner!

I see it's Manteos' birthday on Thursday.  Perhaps he will come out of retirement.   ::)

Wow, nice cars and good drivers  :thumbup2:
You English are fortunate to witness these historic races, unfortunately in Italy these events are very rare

Mr. Reali, I hope your laptimes yesterday evening on the server were with a special Qually set-up and not your usual Race set-up. Otherwise the race will not last 40 minutes...  ;) :D

Is this because the previous generation of Italians wrote-off all the old cars?   LOL    ;D

Do I need to increase the number of laps? I usually take my best time and take a 2 or 3 seconds off
What times are people getting in race trim?

Seems fine to me, I can just get into the 59s, but it seems I may be some way off the pace!  :-\

Mmm ... thinking well maybe you're right  ... even my A112, which I edited with some components Abarth, made a bad end on the ice :'( ... and I with a couple of days in the hospital to sew the head and ear
However, it is the price to pay when you're young and you go too over the limit :punk:

For times in qualy with bmw 59xx and above the minute in race

Could be a cunning move that Tudor.  I'm sure that Federico has become even quicker since trying to take his foot off with a chainsaw!  ::)

Last night was hard work.

Thanks to Giuseppe for sending me his setup whilst we were in the practice session.  Up until then it looked as though I would have to use the hard tyres for the race but with his setup mediums were enough.

I made a good start as Geoffers came out of the blocks like a ruptured duck!  Frex was behind me to begin with but he was soon replaced by Geoffers.

Then the "fun" started!  He was bothering me throughout the whole race and finally made it past when he got a good run at me as we lapped someone and I then made a slight mistake and ran wide at Quarry, I think.  That was with a lap and a bit to go and when we encountered Matt on the last lap I thought that all three of us were going to end up as guests of St John's Ambulance.

After the race it transpired that Geoffers was almost out of fuel and so a banzi charge at the last corner may actually have got me back on the podium, as well as back in the ambulance.

From the race times, Federico seems to have dropped back to see us too!

Grats to Giuseppe, Federico and Geoffers.

Great drive Geoffers.

Good race last night, in the early laps I and Fede we can put a bit of space by the pursuers and we began to do battle between us.
The complicity of some errors we exchanged position several times but always very close  :fencing:
Around lap 15 Fede surprises me and attacks me in the last corner, but I shut the door and I hit him  :cursing:
I shall come forth without any problems but he has some damage that they do slow down and then I hear his protests in ts  :taz: :nono: ... so sorry Fede  :notworthy:
At the end of the race was a bit angry and threatened me to make a claim for unsportsmanlike conduct

Congratulations to all, see you at the next

Congrats to Giuseppe, Federico & Geoffers for scoring the podium finishes!  Splendid drives, chaps.  :)

And Clive wasn't too far off running away with some hardware as well with a close P4.  Well done!

Sigh...  I could kick myself soundly in the bottom right about now.  While I had a pretty decent race with no major gaffes, I finished ahead of frex by only a few seconds and that only because he gave me an early wave-by.  I may have been fractionally quicker but engineering an honest pass would have been quite difficult.  I'm upset because I'm just an interloper in this series in catching the odd event whereas frex is vying for the championship.  During the latter stages of the race, I thought that it might be appropriate to return the wave-by favour but in the last laps, decided to push for a personal best lap time.  Seeing the title standings now, I regret that decision.

Don't feel that way Doni - if you had tried to wave me by for no good reason i would have refused to come back past anyway..! When i signalled for you to come by it was because i considered that i had cut the previous corner a little too much and thought it may have given me a bit of an unfair advantage. I thoroughly enjoyed the long chase trying to keep you in sight, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

And anyway if i was at all concerned about the points standings i would have been in the 24v CSL, not the 12v. It's just me, but i prefer battling away in the midffield in a slower car than taking the fastest option if i can. Although with GT absent here i should maybe have put the team first and gone with the faster car (sorry KC..!).

Congrats podium and cya next time.
