Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

I shall be coming back from the Goodwood Revival on the 14th. Hope to be fit to race on the evening but might still be high on Castrol R and burning rubber.  ;)

Looking at the current voting status I see that this track is unlikey to appear again next season. I must admit it's growing on me after two events here but it can be a tricky one to drive consistently. I had some great early laps racing with Kurt and Michel, enjoyed that. But after my early pit stop I was kinda on my own for much of the remainder of the race. Looked like others were having a good drive tho.

Four to go and several front runners are going to have to use their remaining car choices very carefully. Mha ha ha ha ha

Not really sure what to think of this track.  It's got plenty of different corners and is a great challenge, but somehow seems a bit sterile to me.  Some elevation changes would do wonders to spice things up methinks.  With regards to track votes Tony, I'm holding back most of my votes till the end of the season, when we've been on all tracks.

Knocked a massive 1.5 secs off my offline pb in qual, but only good enough for 2nd - as usual, Ati's pole time was untouchable.  Made a poor start and lost two places, when Ziu & Geoffers shot in front of me.  At the end of the long (semi) straight on L2, I inadvertently made an attack on Geoffers.  Braked too late and had to aim at the hole up his inside.  Passed him going into the corner, but overshot so he could dive under and retake the position. Two corners later, the roles reversed, when he overshot and I dived under, to steal 3rd from him again.

Got close to Ziu, when he had an off, but he gradually extended the gap to 9 secs, where it seemed to stabilize. Gap to cars behind me was growing, so no immediate threats to my 3rd place.  It was upgraded to 2nd, when Ati made his pitstop about mid-race.  Wasn't going to change my tyres, so aimed for a late splash'n'dash at the end of lap 20. Ziu up front was obviously on a similar strategy.

Late on lap 20 however, Ziu went off and I could claim the lead briefly, until I pitted.  Got it back next lap when Ziu did his pitstop. At the end of the next lap, pitboard showed a gap of 8-9 secs down to the 2nd place car; presumably Ati.  Very worried whether I would be able to stay in front for the final laps, but at the end of the next lap, gap had jumped to 26 secs.  Didn't really trust the board, so kept concentrating on pushing as hard as I could, without overdoing it, and thankfully made it home without trouble.

Very happy with the win, but sad to see Ziu leave so late, and after such a solid run.  Geoff, saw you go off shortly after I passed you.  Hope it wasn't my relatively early braking on vintage tyres that caught you out.

Grats to Phil and a smoking (overheating?) Ati on the other podiums, and grats to Clive on not screwing up his pitstop  ;D

Cheers,
Erling

No, totally my fault Erling. just braked too late & went off & hit the barrier. Car seemed OK initially, but by half way around the next lap the left front tyre had lost pressure. Got to the pits to change it but could not get the pitboard to come up, clearly wasn't positioned right. As I said I should have got some practice in before I turned up!  ::)

Congrats on the win.

Maybe for me not the ideal track with the LM55 cars ::). Tried the Fiat 128 by BLT for learning the track and found it very funny.
Definitely needs more practice.

Had one good lap during the race with a new pb (1.37,6 or so), but had to make an early pitstop in order to repair some
damage which fortunately worked well, but forgot to change the rear tyres  ::) ???.
So I rolled at the back of the pack with heavily decreasing rear tyres and was glad to finish in last place.

After cock up with Pitstop in the last enduro I was please mental arithmetic on the ball, put the planned fuel load in and finished race with 1.8 laps of fuel left. Had too many offs so Erling put me 3 laps down just before finish.

As you say Tony track grows on you once you've got dialled in, I've voted for it next season.   ;D

That was kind of a tricky race, the track is a bit twisty, had a good racing battle with Kurt and Tony in the opening laps (as usual I battle with Tony then he disappears in the front), I guess I need a lot of practice to be able to really race with you guys, but it will come soon hopefully, I missed a lot of races but I will try to be more consistent.

For me it was a long race, I'm not used to such races but I'm happy I saw the chequered flag.

see u in the next race

Cheers

Erling, thanks for your words. Yes we had the same idea to delaying the pitstop.....and it was very good choice. Unfortunately the Ferrari fuel meter (indicator fuel, sorry I do not know how to say in English)  deceived when there were only three laps to go after i mistake my pitstop. My setup not was good with few fuel, and i got 2 spins, i lost too seconds before the  pitstop and honestly I could not win the race anyway. Earling, you won deservedly !!!! Grats podium. Sorry, my english is very bad.

Nice track choice Tony, twisty, and that right hander at the end of the fast bit tried to catch me out, had some good laps start of race with Phil G who was very patient and waited to over take me, then Bob M caught me and we had a few laps together till i had to pit, coming back round Bob still in pits so redeemed my place. Pleased that i managed to do a reasonable set up and got a good drive in the Aston.

Grats to Erling on win
