Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: This track appears in your list as Italian GP 60's

Hope to be there, we've raced here recently and it requires minimum of practice.  ;D Being so fast though it's a killer if you lose it. :'(

Steady and safe 1:50 to 1:51s in the Merc, but probably not fast enough to be a serious contender, unless others overcook it.

Will still give it everything though........... ;)

Good news, bad news. New window installation team are ahead of schedule and have done my computer room, bad news been humping furniture and helping put curtains back.

Getting tea next then a quiet drink and rest to recuperate, plan to join for practice - see where it goes from there. Just a few laps practice last weekend and am well down on fastest lap - about 10 secs.

Good job I got my excuses in first.  Chuffed with my new PB in qualifying and close to it in the 2 or 3 laps I completed but overcooked it and finished up in La La Land.  ::)

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the battle between Geoffers (Aston Martin) and Roger (D-Type Jag), great driving guys and very fair.

Hi

good event on old track with great cars and great drivers.
At start several cars passed me, i could not here merc´s engine because of screaming Astons and Jag´s. I had some very exciting and hard fighting laps with my teammate flash. door to door at highspeed in long righthander, worked great, we both know us well. after those laps, flash was 4 secs behind me then, I slowed down a little to make it safe. gap to roguk and geoffers was 7 secs. no chance to get them, i thought, so make it save to end. but the gap was getting smaller from lap to lap, 1 sec per lap....................oh, maybe maybe? not enough laps, at S/F in last lap 1 still was 1 second behing roguk and geoffers.
grats to my teammate Hyzer too. great job mate, hat´s off!

thxs guys for great and fair driving, thxs tony for setting in up

greets hayman

Based on my experience at Grenzlandring, I figured the D-Type should be quick here, but as I'm out of those, I had to pick something else.  With 3 Merc drives left, and early testing showing it to be a little faster than the Aston, it seemed the natural choice.  It's been highly praised, but I have a hard time warming to it.  There's no aural stimulation whatsoever from it, so find it extremely dull to drive.  Wish someone would produce a sound mod for it..  :)

Did my first sub-45 lap in qual landing me 2nd on the grid.  Couldn't touch Ati's pole time, but with the first 3 cars abreast at this Monza version, it didn't really matter.

Can't complain about the result, but the race itself was probably the most boring yet this season.  Geoffers got ahead of me at the start, but I clawed back 2nd going into Parabolica on L1.  Slowly built a gap down to Roger and Geoffers, while up front, Ati was pulling away.  Had a visual on him for the first half, but eventually he slipped from view. 2nd half very lonely indeed then.  On the penultimate lap, when approaching Parabolica, I saw a (long) lingering smoke trail and then a dustcloud.  Could it be.. ?   Yep, a quick activation of driver tags revealed it to be Ati.  Nearly stuffed it myself in the excitement over this possible chance to pass him.. :o   He recovered too fast however, and didn't repeat the error next lap, so I had to settle for 2nd.

Grats to Ati and Roger for the other two podiums, and commiserations to those that fell out.  As usual thanks to Tony for the organisation.

Cheers,
Erling

Managed to get a little bit of practice in for this race, but only tried the Aston.

Qualified 4th & got a decent start & moved into 2nd place. Erling passed me on the run to the Parabolica on the first lap & he & Ati proceeded to disappear into the distance. Was a little surprised that the Aston was well outpaced at the top end, did other Aston drivers find this or was my setup rubbish for top speed? Anyway Rog caught up with me after a few laps & we had a great battle for the rest of the race, close several times, but very fair  :thumbup1: Hayman caught up with us near the end but never quite got close enough to mount a challenge & Rog just had enough pace to pip me for 3rd at the flag. Great fun.  ;D

Congats to Ati, Erling & Rog.

Lousy start for me - after that a sole race at the back of the pack. Anyway - some more race experience.

Grats to Ati , Erling and Rog on the podium and all finishers.

Interesting to read Geoffers comments about the Aston. I was intending to use the Merc and had clocked what would have been some competitive lap times in offline practice. But for some reason the server decided that it did not like me driving a SL300 LM55, and I tried every option for that car!!

So, I opted for the Aston Martin although I had not done a single lap in it and had no setup to drag in that suited Monza. As a result I had a car that was only fast enough to compete with the midfield if I was right on the limit, and it threatened to throw me into the scenery on the exit of every corner if I so much as breathed on the gas. Something that happened several times during tha race  :-\. Top speed was OK and I could keep pace with the Mercs ( just about) on the straights, but my setup lost me too much ground through the corners.

Anyone got an answer to the "car not on server" message re the Merc? I need to start using this car or it will be all that I have left?!!

hi

in teams GTC-65 you should have folder Mercedes 300SL. this has 3 sub-folders, 455, 456 and SL_LM55.
If not this way, try new download.

Hi   tried the Aston and found with my settings could not get the top speed of the Jag here at Monza. Had great close race with Geoffers and only just pipped him at the finish.

Grats to ATi7 on win
Grats to Erling on 2nd

I got back home too late again for this one. A pity because my practice times in the Merc would have put me about mid field so I may have had some fun.

I will miss next Monday’s race as I will be watching my local football club on TV with some friends. I may also miss the one at Spa which I was really looking forward to as I will be playing in a seniors golf competition down in the west country, subject to my golfing partners injured wrist recovering.

It seems that Monday night racing always clashes with another event these days. It shouldn’t be a problem after October. I think I will be getting withdrawal symptoms if I keep missing races. The Monday night GTL series is the one I enjoy most so hope to get back to racing soon.

Thanks for the response guys.....

D:\GT Legends\GameData\Teams\LM55\Mercedes 300SL      is the path to my 300 SL folder and I have 3 subfolders like Hayman listed, plus other stuff like .svm files and MERCEDES 300sl.cas/hdc/sp/grb etc.

The car is certainly available offline and when I'm sure that I tried it on he practice server previously. Maybe I should do a fresh download of the LM55 cars?

Ok, so that path is wrong. Mine would read GameData\Teams\GTC-65\Mercedes 300SL\SL_LM55.

Try moving your folders into the right place. I'll put the Mercs on to the current praccy server now so you can test if you fixed it, Ok?

EDIT: I'll have to wait before I can do the server. Someone else is in there at the mo.

EDIT: Ok now. Merc on Praccy server but not for the race Ok?

Thanks Tony. Just moved the folders as you suggested and joined the St jovite server no probs.

So, should all the other LM55 cars be in the GTC-65 folder? because they are not at the moment.

The folder for the Aston Martin DBR 2(that I used for Monza) is in the Lm55 folder that I gave the path to above? so are the folders for the DBR1, Healey 100s, fez 250, fez 375, D type and Mazza?
