Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Two wheels on racing tarmac at all times please.

Drivers please note: The track limits are between the white lines. You may cross these line but two wheels shall remain on the race track at all times. Drivers found consistently crossing the track limits with four wheels can expect severe penalties to be applied post race.

Yeah - there are many possibilities for getting cut warnings, even at places where you're obviously loosing time  ???

CU tonight.

The cut track here is silly IMHO, you can get a cut track very easily with only 2 wheels over the lines in places
I got a cut track last night on the straight just before a corner  :o
Spoils an otherwise superb track for me.

Ok, thanks Matt. That was probably the problem we had last time here. I'll turn cuts off for this'n then but woe betide anyone who takes the bass.

I can live with them or not, but in the heat of battle in my experience people's race fun can be spoiled by accidental cuts
when you thought you were being well behaved. if you have done some practice you will soon find out where the troublesome
ones are, but even then it's hard to know exactly how far you can go. The concrete half tyres stop some cheating
other places keeping two wheels on the hard surface and not the grass is what real racers did here, so I am also happy with that.
Have not tried the different cars yet, so no times to post

Having been involved in seniors golf competitions followed by a meal the last couple of weeks I have been getting home too late to race. The good news is I pulled out of to-days event as I am playing in a match tomorrow but the bad news for me is I have to go out later this evening so probably would not be able to complete the race. If this turns out to be the case I won’t start. I may look in for practice, just to keep my hand in. I hope to be joining again on Mondays in the near future.

Felt like a target, once I started being lapped I ran into problems two lappers collided and I smashed into a Beemer and the steering wheel was driving right hand down.   ??? Then I had a few more knocks and with 2 or 3 laps left someone really smashed into me at speed and the car was pulling very hard to the left, whilst steering wheel was still right hand down making it almost undriveable. ::) Fortunately I had a sufficient lead to maintain my place to the end.  ;D

Could not make the race sadly. My little daughter came down with a fever. Looked like a fun race and a good grid! Nice.
Will turn my focus to the last race at Daytone now!

Really enjoyed that one especially that long straight and the tricky tightening turn at the end of it. The Datsun was a blast and looked and sounded great  and that start grid was a feast for the eyes. Thankfully no one took the Mazda  ;) saved our ears from exploding.

Had early battles with my arch nemesis Roguk. Had to let him by at one point as I unfairly crossed the white line at the RH turn before the hairpin and gained an advantage. Fortunately he had a wobble after the hairpin so I was able to nip pass and take the place back. Later on I caught Matt and chased him for quite a few laps and then we caught and passed Clive but I lost time when I span and let some guys passed. Hugely entertaining race with always someone to defend from/pass.

Only one more race left in this series and Jose already has the champagne on ice. But the other podium places are still to be fought over. Good luck guys.

Surprisingly I looked competitive with the 914 on this track.  :)
Great fun to drive. Nice battle with hayman and maipor during the opening stages of the race.
But then I stumbled over a boundary, dropped to my common last place and needed
two pit stops to repair my car (tyre change not possible on first try) and to change front
tyres on second pit stop  ???
After that I cruised araound the track way back in last position and registered a new pb
near the end of the race.  8)

Thanks for organizing this series.

hi Koblenzman

I was really wondering. You made good pressure on me. Expected some good close racing with you, incl. paintjobs.
after you were off, my laps were boring, nearly all time alone on track. in the end maipor was chasing me and got me in lap 22. good job, mai!

greets hayman

Enjoyed that  ;D 1st GTL race for 4 weeks, should be around for a few weeks now so more to come.
Saw my old pal Phil doing much better times in qual so was pleased (for me) when he ended up behind  8)
had some good laps dicing with several people, managed to avoid Bill's? kamikaze charge into T1 at the start
which he would have got away with nicely but for people getting in his way  :whistling:

Had no practice time, cobble d aslow but drivable setup together in prac/qual and found that I had selected
a 914 with no wing  :o thinking that it might help on the big straight I stuck with it and carried on.
Had not tried any other car, perhaps the Datsun would have been an easier drive, but it was fun anyway

Guilty as charged I'm afraid! Foot slipped off brake as l tried to try emergency brake as traffic ahead weaved and braked.  ::)

Brilliant move Bill, if only Phil (I believe) hadn't gotten in the way..  :)

Not much time to write a review I'm afraid, but here's a short summary.

Way off the pace in this series, so far down the field on the grid.  Lost and gained places on L1, to end it in pos. 6.  Gradually slipped down the order, when I lost places to faster drivers and through mistakes, like a spin.  Reclaimed some, to finish 7th.  Had some good scraps along the way, with Tony among others.

Absolutely loved the track.  Although it probably saved me a couple of cut warnings (in situations where I actually lost time), I'm not entirely sure it was a good idea to turn off the warnings alltogether..  ;)

Grats to the podium and those ahead of me, and thanks to Tony for the organisation.

Cheers,
Erling

Thought i new this track well having raced here with GPL several times, Took off like a bull in a china shop and came unstuck on the first bends, dropped back to last then managed to crawl forward a bit to Tony and had nose to tail racing, managed a pass lap 13 only to come unstuck again on the first corner, thankfully didn't take Tony out and he passed ok, not so lucky the next driver who hit me head on my apologies to you and hope that did not ruin your race, limped back to pits with both offside wheels punctured, was going to quit but continued on to finish race 2 laps down, shows take nothing for granted as these tin tops are totally different to drive.
I nearly took the Mazda (my only other choice) as i was lapping same times and more consistent than the Beemer, weird as Beemer much faster on the straight.

Grats to Ati7 on win
Grats to Podium
