Bizarre. Had an off on lap 2 and instantly I knew I had lost power - Dean and another came whizzing past me and they appeared to be holding out the white flag for me :-) I had to Shift R as there was no pint staying like that.... but the 'new' car was just as slow on the straight - I could tell immediately...just couldn't get the top speeds I had been getting in practice. No point in being there after that. Very disappointing given I had managed to get a steady sub 3:40 pace...

did it Dave?

I got disco'd or screen freeze or whatever with what I thought was 6 to go, but that is still the amount left in IGOR as I type and most of the guys are still in?!

Had a few mishaps, one with Mr Teso at the end of L1 which dropped us both to the back, my car set-up (poorly) for tow it took a bit to get close to someone.  Ran for a bit more and found myself in the lead due accidents, got chased down by Axel then botched pulling out of an overtake on Axel and stacked it.  After shift  R & S&G I was ejected....

I was watching a few of you in qual, Axel & Ronnie, you seemed to be pulling higher speeds down the straight, did you pump the tyres up really hard?  Or is it a secret?

Bob

Shame the server crashed, sorry :notworthy:

I gave the rears a little more pressure but not too much.
Spa67 needs a good traction in corners so not such excessive pressures as old Spa ;)
The main thing is the gear selection, long 4th and 5th, for Eau Rouge and Les Combes I use long 2nd gear...
