Have to go to hospital tomorrow morning for some health checking. Hope they let me go back home Tuesday, otherwise I must tell the doctor I have to leave because I got another prescription; for the green-hell.

This is not good news Andreas. :-\  But if you tell the Doctors you must have the 'Green Hell,' they will lock you in an isolation room for observation, so no race.  I hope all is well soon. ;)

I was very pleased at Spa67 despite multiple injuries.  Did not expect to run safely with the olde wind up computer, but could actually mix it with the fast crowd for a couple of laps.  Raced mostly by guesswork, and my luck eventually ran out.

Looked like I helped shorten your car a few inches Dave, while limping my wounded animal  Hope no serious damage was done.  Enjoyable while it lasted! 8)

Didn't affect my effort too much!

Got lost on the first lap,  which ended up taking about 5.5 mins to complete.  That & too many crashed sums up my effort.
Was lapped by 'all' the remaining finishers...clearly a lot of issues elsewhere in the field...

Still, was good to have a test.  Minor CPU/mem upgrades performed this weekend seem ok so far & seem to have got rid of most of the green sparklies by reducing overclock of legacy GPU a bit.

Cheers all,
Dave.

Nice to see this combo.. I might finally set a decent 65 ring time, I only set a time there once to complete 65 rank after all these years  ::)

Yes - this is the last one to get a rank time;  gotta collect them all.
Although, I already know how slow I am...!

Cheers,
Dave.

I probably shouldn't post right of a race, but.....

I don't give a rat's ******* a**e how sorry you mo**ns are, DON'T USE ****** CHAT DURING A ****** RACE. There is no excuse for that. One certain person, who drove into me, appears to have apologised to at least 5 others during the race.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

It is in every ****** race thread

Rant over

I've asked before for a penalty to be applied to chat during official races.  It suggests the chat maker has not read the rules, or has noticed no penalty for chat?  I suggest 1st offense - 1 lap.

Thanks all for racing. had a mistake-free lap and a new best time.

I had to shift-r last lap and couldn't pit anymore, please add me 10-15 Seconds.

Best Regards,
Bastian

Congrats Andreas! Great to see you winning a race, well deserved! Great laptime Iestyn, you're about to get alien status ;) When I told you to practise more I didn't mean it in a negative way, but I meant when you would practise more, you'd be a real gray-limey-chinese-alien-hybrid

Anyway, about the chatting, I'm curious...drivers can always submit an incident report, and it will be dealt with by the div/race moderator...

PS: this is not coming from a self-proclaimed alien or so, because I'm not, I'm just a wannabe racing for fun :P As I see it you have fast drivers, very fast drivers, very very fast drivers, and you have alien simracers (Huttu/Towler/Woodward and such)...

I took the Lotus to set a fast time for rank.. that definitely paid off. That's a good way to sum it up, Rob :P.

In the race.. I guess I'm getting used to the 2/ 2/ we ran in Monaco with 65s, as I found myself bumping people quite a lot (that or I was unused to the higher closing speeds in a faster 65 car). A much better race from me would have been Cooper and no mistakes, probably giving me a race-long battle with Raoni (and a more even one at that).

Sorry about the chat.. but as I was unexpectedly bumping people, I thought I should let them know it was accidental - Dean stopped after the second time I hit him. It's a button press here (like PI, PO), and I know it's a fun race - but if you don't want to see chat (not that we have much anyway), why not turn it off in-car? Mine is off - and I knew that only if the people I bumped had it on would they see my apology at all. I never chat in league races. That said, I don't recall the rule fully - is PI, PO allowed? I thought it was no chat at all. Is there a reason to have in-car chat on? For PI, PO I use pribluda instead, no chat needed.

Last lap was quite a thrill - I was closing on Andreas at a rate of knots, but came up 2 seconds short. It felt like Grosjean/Perez at Canada 2012! Maybe with one less scrape, I could have been closer at the final chicane.. ::). Grats Andreas!

In GPL choose Options/Sound & Gameplay/

Uncheck in car chat at Miscellaneous section left below. ;) Always have turnt it off, as chat distracts...

Contradictions seem to be a part of modern Ukgpl.

Stopping for an injured party after bumping, had been frowned on, as it can cause trouble  I hit someone waiting around a blind bend recently ( Opatija ) because a Moderator said it's Ok.  And chat has always been banned during races, but available for emergency messages only?  Now a Moderator says it's Ok, and switch off chat if it's a problem.

Two bad ideas hoping to replace two good ones.  Could we have a ruling on these, to prevent arguments further down the road please? :-*

Where did I say that chatting is OK? I said in a previous post one can submit an incident, then it will be dealt with...turning off in car chat does not equal allowing chatting in the race.

The other issue, it is clear in the rules. We (in UKGPL) do not wait for a victim after rearending, as it can cause dangerous situations.

So, there is no contradiction, only in your mind. ;)

Our head Moderator got into my mind regarding shunt waiting, and I don't believe switching chat off has been recommended until now. :euro:
