Season 28 - 60fpsV1 – Sport Cars Fun Race - Targa Florio

This Friday we will have a special event, the Targa!
We will do "only" one racing lap, (but the server will show 2) so please be kind if a faster car/driver is behind  ;)

The race will be run under INT rules and you have a free car choice.
You can do 2x shift+r !

We will use the 60fpsV1 (ftp://ukgpl3.dyndns.org/Replays/Archive/Season27/60fps/) patch.

Race List =   IGOR
Server = UKGPL_8
IP Address = look at IGOR
Race date = 06-02-2015

No pit stops required, I take it?

I hope to be home in time to compete, in that case I'll take the 910 or perhaps the Chaparral 2F, will throw the dice to decide  :P

Yes, the ChapF and Porsche are the favourites here.

Seems I have to take a more challenging car now...

I might be joining at the last minute. I don't mind starting at the back or letting a faster driver past if I am in front. I'm looking forward to it so I hope that I can race.

Sorry for the shunt Dean, I knew that corner was coming up, but I lost all of my common sense towards the end of the lap. I locked the brakes, and I did not stop as quickly as I had hoped.

We were only five but it was great fun.
It was the first time I ran in Targa online. And I was happily surprised it works so fine !
Nice race and fight with Axel !

Yeah David  ;D

This was extra big FUN with the MK4!

I had done a test with the MK2B and found it surprisingly easy to drive, as a fan of the MK4 I decided to adapt the setup of the 2B to MK4.
It worked very well as it was easy to do all those short straights in 1st gear.
Lots of torque with low revs pulled me out of any corner to become a rocket in higher revs.
On the long straight I gained 1.700m to Iestyn, who was 2.200m away in the seaside town, before I made a last mistake he was <500m in front.
Top speed was 355kph ~ 222mph!
If anyone wants my Targa setups just ask, as I think they are good basis setups for every track.

Just 2x resets didn't sounds as generous here as for any other track!

Realistically,  wasn't going to happen on Friday - not with the 6 Nations starting... :)
But, appears that all starters made it to the finish;  that is surely is quite impressive!

Cheers,
Dave.
