All members welcome Practice: 20:00 GMT (20 mins) Qual 2: 20:20 GMT (10 mins) Race: 20:30 GMT (40 laps ~ approx 40 mins) Cars allowed: Any GT3 from the UKGTR car pack (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg54519#msg54519) v2.16.0.0 Track: Lime Rock (No Chicane) Download and install this (https://www.simracing.org.uk/downloads/s3.php/gtr2/tracks/SRou_LimeRock_1.1.0.0.exe) Race Start Time: 14:00 Weather: Dry Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit-stops: No pitstops required Password: see above (#post_event_password) Notes: (1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.0) - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages. (2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=472&theme=3) (3) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above). (4) Drivers may only change car once in the season without penalty. (5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced. I have not done any practise either, so if the lap count is wrong then post here and I will update it. Title: Re: UKGTR Season 21 Lower Sprint - Lime Rock - Mar 1 Post by: picnic on March 02, 2015, 08:25:57 AM +0000 Again another track that seemed to benefit the Vertigo hugely, both Apex and nsfast in a different league over a single lap. Luckily for me others made mistakes in the race which I benefited from although after Spanner allowed nsfast past with 10 laps to go I thought I'd be caught. By keeping the laps consistent I managed to stay far enough ahead the Vertigo wasn't close enough to give me real grief by the end.
During Q2 I did 4 laps and had 4.9 wear on my front left, wasn't sure how I was going to get to the end of the race but just by backing off 5% through the fast right handers I managed without even getting a worn tyre message. How the Vertigo's manage to run softs I'll never know, I had mediums but still wasn't convinced they'd make it to the end of the race!
