IMPORTANT: The PLP app VERSION 1.0 (found here (http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/a-pit-lane-penalty-app-for-repeated-track-cutting-0-9.17852/)) is required. The file is an attachment on the first message, download and install as it is.
The string that is posted in chat when you join should read: "PLP:running version 1.0,3-50-3-True-1.3-0.9-3" - if it doesn't, then you will be excluded from the results.

Please note that there's a new version of the PLP app. I've posted a notice in the first post, but in case you haven't seen it the new version IS REQUIRED.
Anyone running the old version or a modified version will be excluded from the results.

New version is named the same as the old one in game. I put a message on the forum and hope he'll change it soon.

If anyone's thinking "isn't that a bit harsh?" - PLP is fully adjustable, and the string that is posted when you join a server is the current settings for the app. If someone's using different settings, they are effectively using a different set of rules to everyone else.  :-\

Yes TT, thought you would have had it by now, i thought you'd moved over to AC fully?

Don't know, Spanner. With these DLCs I feel milked like in iR. Besides, AC is not what I thought it would be.

The DLC content is to the same level as the original game, you buy it once, no subscription fees, so it's not really fair to compare it to iRacing. Plus, AC with the DLC costs less than pCars does on its own - with the added advantage that AC has actually been released!

We did discuss whether to use the DLC cars or not, but the only people who commented had already bought the DLC.

Milked? at £7 for 10 cars and a laser scanned track.. you think £7 is being milked.. :-\

DLC was ALWAYS going to come out, it was said right at the start of development that paid DLC bundles were going to be released throughout development..

Milked because AC is not what I expected it to be. Will probably join, nothing else on the radar, really.

There will never be a single ultimate sim, they all do things slightly differently. You just have to adapt to there quirks!

For some reason they have chosen to not sort out a number of issues that spoil the user experience for me.

Grumpy buggers, we get the best racing sim in years with a great selection of road and race cars with laser scanned tracks and you whiners focus on the little niggles that exist and will no doubt eventually get ironed out.   ::) Man up and enjoy the racing  ;D

My time with the Merc is 2:02.5, in the Alfa 2:00.4 and 2:02.3 in the BMW.

Can't say really, I don't feel the car the way I did in GTR2. Also, these new cars feel like toys. I want epic things like supercars on Road America while nowaday cars are GT3s. No rain, no night, bad rear mirror view - I'm not able to do close racing.

i understand what you mean about no rain, no night and the bad rear view but the F11 mirror does offer much better views, did you know you can actually change the mirror FOV now in one of the ini's? this might improve things for you.

as for feeling the cars, i dont know what game your playing but i feel everything pretty much, what wheel have you got?

can you post your windows controller settings and your in game controller settings and i will see if you have something wrong. also have you got fix view to horizon on or off? you want it off.

Had to reinstall AC, seems like some old mods / tracks were objecting. Lost my wheel settings, maybe it's for the best, lol, now I can start new. :)

TT, the 1.1 update made some mods obsolete so yes, best to just remove them if you get any error messages.
Don't forget the PLP app.

Hmm, only 11 runners tonight, that's less than the first round  ??? I had 4 guys from Kunos saying they wanted to race but only Tam Zak turned up (cheers bud!). Thought this would be a popular series. :-\

Turned up with zero practise and a borrowed setup sadly but had done plenty of GrpA E30 praccy here so was hoping to be competitive.
Had unusual stutter troubles during qually so couldn't get any flow going.

Got a good start and made up a couple of places to 5th or 6th. Had a good battle with GTs great looking Merc For many laps albeit my car wasn't dialled in as I'd like it and I felt guilty I may be holding him up in some sections only to blast away in others.
By lap 10 my mediums were shot at 95% and I started dropping 3 secs a lap, making me an easy pass for MarkB and GT  :( then just to compound my misery the car ran out of blinking petrol on the final corner   :taz:

Ok there might be a very valid excuse but if your car's still going, stay in the race. If everyone were to adopt the attitude that a spin meant that the race wasn't worth continuing with, then we wouldn't have a race most nights.

Really enjoyed the race, love the cars and track.

Had my usual crawl off the line and found myself back in 8th or 9th by T1. Good fun trying to find a way past MJ for most of the race with Mark applying pressure behind me. I was quicker through the corners which made things tricky and at one point had to throw it in the gravel to avoid running into MJ in the final turn which resulted in me losing a place to Mark. Good racing though and I thoroughly enjoyed it  :)

Fun race despite I don`t like this track ...

Did not make same mistake as in first race by taking medium tyres but problem was first few laps as we started on cold tyres (no tyre warmers) and Erik constantly trying to steal something  ;D from my trunk.
I was paying too much attention on him instead on Chris in front so I just hit F11 to remove virtual mirror and worry only about what`s in front of me.

Catch Chris pretty easy and than fun starts watching him drifting through the corners more and more.
Oh no  ;D ;D ;D, he have medium tyres that just start to wear more with every slide ... pass him after his spin (or half spin, didn't wait to see) and that supposed to be it, but nooo  :taz:
. Somehow I was low on fuel so last 2 laps was just trying to bring it home.

btw I will use the same car for all races ...

Was fun in the beginning with Chris and Ed, but the mediums were gone after a few laps and they never came back. Need to see if hards are any better, otherwise I go back to softs. They at least give something back again.
