The next round of the S28 Friday Mixed Trophy we remain at Albi in France.
The 1967 layout of the track has a good mixture of some fast straights and all sorts of corners.

I had a rather close call under braking on lap 1 going into the Double Droit corners. I might have been able to stop in time, but I panicked a little. So I locked up the brakes and changed direction into the infield. I came back on track just narrowly missing Dean. In the replay, it looked like Dean swerved away at the last moment. During the race, I had two offs, but no noticeable damage. I did however loose a position to Fran. I had good luck from that moment on because I was able to make an overtake stick. Then I was able to follow Greg's slipstream late in the race. Good race, F2 + Albi = :-D

Yes and with a short battle that was the best thing of the race.
You are too strong for me also if ,with replay analizer,i have seen that the strong difference was in acceleration and speed on the straight.

Congrats Axel, Tristan, and Iestyn! Especially you Axel. Excellent job to hold onto the win when you had Iestyn, Tristan, Dean, and me all trying to take it away from you. A very impressive first win of the season! :)

I had pretty rotten luck this time. This race was a good example of making your own luck. I came close to inheriting the lead with Tristan's engine failure. Had I only kept my cool and not pushed so hard to try to get back in Tristan's slipstream. One lap later I may have had a manageable lead that I could have held to the end. I was still in good shape later when I was 3rd, close behind Dean and Axel. When Dean spun I thought I could slip by on the left but the opening closed before I could. Another example of making my own luck, I should have slowed drastically to assure I could pass Dean's spinning car. The loss of distance to Axel wasn't as important as I thought it was at the moment. If I couldn't have made it up on my own, Iestyn surely would have dragged me back to Axel.

Take care guys. Thanks for letting me race with you.
