Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=477&theme=6)

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Moderating The red zone will be fully moderated from the start to the exit of Hugenholtzbocht on the first lap.

Other moderation will be on reported incidents only.  However any incidents that occur in the red zone that are not reported by the drivers will be reported by the moderator.  This will allow all affected drivers the opportunity to present their case before the incident is moderated.  This should ensure there are no surprises when the moderator's report is published and hence appeals will be less likely.  If you haven't received a PM about an incident before the link below the results table is removed, you can be sure that you will not appear in the moderator's report.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

I hope that I've practiced enough to keep it on the track. The advantage to having practiced is that I noticed my tire temps have been going above the optimum range. I have not figured out a solution for the setup, but I am adjusting my driving style a little.

I'm getting fibre broadband in the next couple of weeks so I thought I'd have a go at setting up a practice server.  I used to run UKGPL4 a few years ago but my broadband connection wasn't good enough at the time.  New connection should be OK provided I've got the port forwarding and firewall set up properly.

If anyone needs a bit of practice please have a go at connecting to UKGPL4.  Please post here if you managed to connect (or couldn't).

Great to have another server, thanks Phil!

Works fine for me, no problems joining and driving :thumbup2:

PS
The BW settings could be optimized to 4/84 4/384  (the "every 3/xxx" makes very big files and will be critical with full grid)

It's ams - so you are allowed;  let's say encouraged!  to go off track/sightseeing :)
I'm certainly taking a picnic blanket...

Cookie, Roguk

Thanks for testing the server, it looks promising.  I've got a couple of weeks to try a few things (e.g. BW settings as per Cookie's advice) before I switch to the new service.

Once my new broadband service is up and running I'm hopeful that the server will be good enough for praccy or as a backup server in case we have a problem with 3, 8 or 9.

Great race for me.  Had a tremendous battle with Dave and Billy for the first 17 laps.  My Brab was a bit down on power on the straight but it was fantastic on the twisty bits.  I managed to pull off a couple of good moves on the inside at Tarzan for which I have to thank Dave and Billy for their sportsmanship and clean driving.  Without their awareness we would have had a pileup on both occasions.  Despite not being able to see me in their mirrors they realised where I was and left me room.  It was a pleasure to race with you tonight gents.

After I took the lead it looks like Billy and Dave made mistakes and dropped back and I had Bernie closing in on the last few laps.  I stayed cool concentrated on my gear changing and brought the car home for my first win using a clutch and H shifter.  Very satisfying.

Grats to Walter on the fastest lap.  As ever in this division, it isn't the fastest that usually wins but the driver who makes the least mistakes.

Another fantastic outing. 2 hours to get home and then find that the kids have nicked my headphones. No sound from the PC and no time to sort it. Impossible without sound feedback so I quit.

Well done to Phil. Hope to make round 7.

Have you considered selling them for medical experiments? The kids, I mean.

Thanks guys for the servers! Awesome to be able to race amongst you guys. Especially happy to see BadBlood back on track. I hope that you are able to sort out any problems with headphones or 60 fps. I would not object to running the Ams races at 36 fps if it meant that more drivers could participate.

Congrats to Phil for your first win in Season 28! Congrats Bernie and Billy for finishing on the podium, and for making Phil work for the win.

My qualification time with 33 laps of fuel onboard put me on the back row. So I decided to dump the fuel, and I improved my lap time enough to start P2.

I had a good start, and I took a little risk going on the outside of Philippe in turn one. In hindsight, I should have went into turn one single file. My rear tire slipped off into the sand at the exit of the turn, and I lost a position to Fabio. I was not able to avoid the incident at turn two. I am sorry that I contributed to the carnage. My car rolled over so I had to use a shift-R and S/G. I waited while watching Prib to decide when to reset. Unfortunately I restarted just in front of Philippe, but I do not think any harm was done.

I was able to pass BadBlood going into T4 Hunzerug, but I put two wheels in the sand to make sure that I did not make contact. This slowed me more than Philippe was expecting and it caused us to spin once more. No problem from my point of view. It looked like a racing incident to me. I was sorry to see that you were not able to continue the race.

I caught up to Kai as he was pulling into the pits for a stop and go. Good thing, because I might otherwise had forgotten with so much action on the first lap. I had a nice battle with Kai for some laps before he slipped off track on the last corner. Later on, I was gifted a couple more positions when others had bad luck.

I was well and truly on my own in fifth place for the second half of the race. I did not mind too much because the car was really starting to corner nicely, and I knew that I had a golden opportunity to go for the fast lap of the race. I have to say that everyone's fast lap was very close. I was only able to get the fast lap because I took a huge amount of risk in doing it.

So in the end, it was a very gratifying race for me. So much better than my previous races here. This was the first time that I finished on the lead lap at Zandvoort. I truly know how frustrating a place it can be just to stay on the track. Well done to all the finishers, commiserations to those less fortunate.

Good to see Paul back on teh grid - albiet briefly.
Definitely one of my preferred tracks, which is more than I can say about the next one.
Phillipe set a very competitive time for pole. The rest of us quite tightlly bunched around the 1.30's. I started 6th which was no bad thing. The leaders got all tangled up T1 or T2 & I was able to pick a line through the carnage & emerge in first place. Equally fortunate to have team mate DC in 2nd who did an excellenet job in keeping Phil Thormtomn in check for half the race. I had close company for all the early laps although the only real passing place was into Tarzan where I tried to keep a fairly wide line & avoid any contact. Phil got thrugh about the half way point & built a small lead that I couldn't dent. Keeping an eye on the times in Prib & saw that half the filed had gone missing but also Bernie had found a turbo laying around in the back of the garage. I half span the car in Tarzan & Bernie was through with about 6 laps to go. DC was making up ground again but I held out for 3rd place.
Now 6 races into the season with 6 different winners. I don't gave a great record at any of the next 4 tracks & with only 8 results counting the championship is quite wide open.

No Turbo Billy but thought I saw the mechanic drop a couple of Uncle Joe's into the tank on the starting grid , apparently they contain menthol ( Wigginer's never knew the difference between that and methanol ) , whatever it was it worked even if it did take a spin and masterful recovery before I could get used to all that extra power !
Actually thought I had clipped you at Tarzan causing the half spin , but my replay @ 39:26 shows we didn't actually touch but it was a close thing , maybe some warp there ?
There was a red car warping like mad during qually and again at the race start , wondered if that was anything to do with the lap 1 pile up

Grats to Phil on the win and nice to see Paul back in the saddle again , hope you can make it for the next outing mate we all miss you !

Thanks for the fun and looking forward to the next , wherever that may be  :)

LOL all.

It was miniblood who nicked them - not so mini now.

Have to get the girls racing instead.

Work has been ridiculous the last six months but it has calmed down so I will be around I think.

Hope to see you next time out

Grats to Phil on the win

Grats to Bernie and Billy on Podium

Grats to Walter on fastest lap

Just could not get up to speed here tonight, held Bernie up for a few laps when passed he took off into the distance, Fabio closed and had a few laps with some close racing till we touched, had to do a shift r, then nearly took Walter out as he passed me, thought it best to quit.
