Led for a while and then slowly worked my way backwards and may get a penalty... #rusty :)

WD to Bernie for taking me on the last lap - thought I had 3rd in the bag and congrats on the respectful racing from Kai - finally sorry to Dave.

Apologies DC for the collision , haven't seen the replay yet but dont think there was much i could do in the circumstance  ???

Had the wrong gearbox was hitting the rev limiter and had to keep easing off to keep the engine temps down in the low 112f my idea was to just join in for a bit of fun but got carried away with some good racing , just managed to steal P3 from Paul on the penultimate lap with a bit of hearts in mouth stuff  :o

Thanks for the fun,  grats to the podium boys , and all those who finished with there hub caps in place

Just about managed to get connected & join for the end of the qually session.

Home network issue worked-around for the race;  but the wife acceptance factor is minimal...  [a very long network lead slung out of an upstairs window;  down to the front of the house  & in through window;   trailing through the hall...].   That's something for me to work on over the next couple of days!

Not that any practice would have helped any :)

The start seemed ok;  after the pole-man bogged down slightly & was mercilessly mugged by pretty much everyone.  Still  - the start is not everything & a very good comeback!

Had a number of spins; probably all involved in some contact [& a reset] all down at the loop.  Lucky it was a small grid!

I know it's not over yet,  but seems congratulations are in order for Billy  - well done that man.
Behind;  looks like it's all changing & competitive!

Right, better go & reel that cable in...

Cheers all,
Dave.

Sorry I could not compete tonight as I like this track. Had a work do &  wont be home to early hours. See you at Mexico - although it is a bad track for me.

Congrats Philippe, and well done Kai and Bernie! Not a bad result for Bad Blood either.

That was good fun. Although I fell out of contention on the second lap. I tried to drive around the outside line at the loop, and I ran out of tarmac. I caught up with the fifth place car several times. Only to spin again due to my negligence. I even did a tribute spin to Ritchie Ginther, on accident of course. Dave gave me company at times, but I found it too difficult to stay on track while watching my mirrors. I was comforted with the feeling that at least I did not interfere with anyone else's race. And after a two week absence, it was loads of fun just putting in some laps.

Lesson to me. I was about 1.5 secs slower than my PB and I couldn't work out why. Went and played with the gearing - nothing else and EASILY shaved twelve tenths off <sigh>. Can't just turn up and drive anymore.
