I had a go at CC last night with every chassis.  Due to my inability, I found it difficult to get below the 1-minute mark.  ::)  I found the Ferrari fastest and the Cooper very hot on its heels.  So please can all drivers with ability use something slower!!  ;D

Hopefully see y'all tonight.

I have requested an Isetta 600 ( bubblecar ) add-on to improve the handicap for slower drivers.  Apparently, when slicks are added the helper wheels fall off, so not possible.  :hammer:

I had to dive left over the crest of Avon rise to give who-ever was on my inside enough room - I made the most tiny amount of contact with a brake board which caused me to spin.
I bumped the tire wall incredibly gently and pulled away at the back of the pack (Apart from Iestyn at least as he missed the start) but the car felt odd.
For the next few laps the car felt down on power and barely got into 5th - then on the 4th lap I ran out of fuel!
Somehow I'd punctured a fuel tank/line in the spin as when I checked I was on the right setup  :(

Congrats to all the winners and finishers  :)

The only luck I am getting at the moment is....bad.

The Waza set up quite nicely for this race and was happy with my quali time, less than a second covering the top 10 cars I think! it was always going to be tight on a track like this and less than 60 sec per lap, but hey! that's fun.

Lap 2 and Pelle gets it sideways at Quarry and I cannot quite stop in time ( not his fault just BAD luck for me  :( ) Iget bounced around into the infield and drop to last. but something ain't quite right and the handling is wrong. Recover to rejoin about 3 from last and get going again, but the tail now wants to get into corners first and if it can't do that it wants to be first out of the corner!! a spin and I am dead last.

Then I come across Fran who is recovering at Tower bend mid track and he manages to give the Waza a hefty clout on the front wheel. This does nothing to improve the handling, other than to make the car want to ignore all instructions to turn  :-\  about a lap later I surrender and go in search of a drink.......

Grats to all those who finished, the pace at the front was World Class again and another full grid for Joe, which is great to see. :punk:

I have the luck of Chris Amon, but none of the talent!  Rammed from behind twice (no worries, Francesco), and spent a lot of time allowing people to lap me, but I was STILL RUNNING at the end!

I have the luck of Chris Amon, but none of the talent!  ...

It was a very sad day (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_Deutschland_Troph%C3%A4e) when I saw Chris Amon racing the first time, but he showed in a bad car his talents! I was hooked by his driving and a fan since then.

Our race was a lot of action with close fights till the end, FUN!

My provider had been under a DDoS attack, and wasn't able to browse the web until now...happily it didn't affect my race...

Really struggled throughout the race especially after 5 laps. Added 1% brakebias to my quali setup for the race, and that backfired. Already had probs managing the LF tire in the green whale, but constantly locking the LF exaggerated the problem...no front grip in the righthanders, that dominate this track and kept on locking up...

Felt like sitting duck when Tristan and Bob caught up with me. With Tris I went wide and lost momentum, thought he would pass me but clipped me rear instead. Thanks for waiting, you didn't have to, I guess it did catch you out, but TBH at that point I was struggling very much...Bob didn't have much problems passing me, he was lapping a lot faster, yet he seemed to struggle also with the tires and I did inherit the lead when he went on the grass out of the last turn...it was the penultimate lap...

Another lucky win, especially when struggling so much. Maybe 4th/5th car pacewise but made the least big mistakes I guess ;)

Yes,
sitting in the Sachskurve we only got the information that there was an accident and saw the ambulance car bringing him back.
The next day we read in the newspaper what really had happened...
