S28 -Tasman Trophy - Round 3 - 67 Formula 2 - Lakeside

Just for fun and to give the F2's a chance to stretch their legs again we are running a short series based upon the Tasman series that used to run down in the Antipodies. There will be 5 races, all on Aussie or New Zealand circuits, some of which might be new to you but almost all of them are easy to learn. There will be 4 short sprint races of 30 minutes and a 45 minute race to finish up with.
First race is Tuesday 1st September and the plan is to run these races on    Tuesdays and Fridays    for the next couple of weeks.

PLEASE NOTE THE CAR LIMITS FOR THE LIGHT DRIVERS AND EVEN THE HEAVIES HAVE TO PLAN, AS THEY CAN ONLY USE CARS ONCE....  If this proves exceptionally popular and the next season's preparations are not quite ready we might add more races........

The tracks are:-

I think so - UKGPL_8 appears to be running that :)

However; I've just realised I don't have this;  must have been thinking of Riverside...   A mere stone's throw away...!

Cheers,
Dave.

Disco fever at Ukgpl.  An exciting race for those who stayed.  :-\  One driver needed to join 5 times.  Another practiced in 2 different cars.  I saw one driver reset in the pits, and another almost end up in the lake!

My vague hopes for a podium ended, when getting involved in someone else's bad rejoin.  So, all in all an exciting, but unruly race.

Pretty much sums it up nicely Martin

At times it was difficult to work out where the front and the back of the pack was. Just the nature of the short track and certainly spiced up the race making it great fun. Although I could have tried to go faster like several other speed demons in qualifying and the race, I knew my tyres would not last the 30 laps. So I settled for a relaxing pace around 55.5sec and things turned out nicely. Grats again to Tristan and Piero and thanks everyone for the racing.

Good to be on the same track Martin  ;)

What's wrong with the green one?  I wish you wretched front runners would use it more often. "Grumble!"  ;)
