the ferrari is realy great in this track, very good feeling,
and somehow the curbs are not so much deadly as they was in past races, no idea if a good setup did help (probably not) or kunos did changed somehting with this curbs in an update, no idea,
but feels now great.

i did only 5-7 laps quick with spa setup and little changed gears and i did a 1.47.xxx racelap, which is for me realy good, but i did it with 100% grip, not racestart grip.

no idea about bmw and corvette about handling in this track and how curbs are for this cars, as i did no laps testing.
usualy the bmw is better in corners as the ferrari and slower in top speed, so probably in this track both cars should be matched very well i think.

...and i hope for much drivers tonight, realy great car/track combination is it.

Official lap count please? It'll be 17 laps unless I'm told different (based on Berger's 1:47)

Well that nearly didn't happen for me. Booked in to the server no problem, but when it was time to join it just wouldn't. Kept saying loading and then dumping me back to the lobby. Rebooted a couple of times, rebooted the router, still no. Didn't think I would therefore get in. Lo and behold 5 mins into qually it let me in. Hoorah.

4 laps of qually on my Spa race setup to check how much fuel I needed (as much as set any sort of time) and that would have to do. 4th on the grid and car was let's say "loose" out of the corner lol. No time to do anything about it and into the race I went. Richard then unfortunately got disconnected on the start line and I shot off like a scalded cat whilst Reinhard got a poor start in his Ferrari. By T1 I was 1st! WTF?! Anyway, having seen Reinhard's qually time I knew it was only a matter of time before he got past and he went by on the start finish straight of all places. Took me kind of by surprise as I thought the BMW would easily outdrag the Ferrari especially as I was running really low wing. In hindsight I should have defended harder (taken a defensive line into T1), but I really wasn't expecting to need to defend that early on the straight and he caught me napping that's for sure.

After that it was boring. Reinhard was 2-4 seconds a lap quicker and Eck was a little bit slower than me, so it was pootle to the finish really.

Once again I shall moan about PLP. 2 cut warnings it gave me, both for running wide and losing time on the grass. Stupid thing.

Then to top it all off my game froze whilst in post-race chat.

no time for practice and only logged on at 8:10pm (been out at Donington watching GT3's in real life!). my plan was to just stay out of everyones way and do some laps to get up to speed. during the countdown to the race I pressed the button to go to the grid, then got distracted by the wife, next thing I know I am sitting in the pitlane. Not sure if the game went wrong or I did something wrong, anyway in the confusion I pressed escape and ended up having to get back into the server by which time everyone had done a lap so I just kept out of everyones way and did some hotlapping. got to say I am starting to like these GT2's now that I can drive them without flat spotting the front tyres.

I had one off which resulted in a small bump with the armco and an immediate drive through. Wasn't going to do that so quit.

hello,

perhaps we should do this penalty cut thing totaly away,
the ingame 5sec. penalty and the penalty app. too, as it looks like it make more trouble as it help.

i did get 0 penaltys, but to read in screen often xxx.did make a cutting (or what name is) fonfused a little,
after i did read something with pickup penalty (i was thinking what is this) i was very much confused and i did watch everywhere in screen if i got a penalty or what happen now? (must i do a drive through penalty),
but later i did correct read, that it was a picnic penalty .

the problem is....in AC the penatly detection (or what name is) is extrem poor, often you can cut much and do not get a penalty and sometimes (more often) you get a penalty if you come in green outside of track and you loose time,
this is not a problem from the penalty app (i am nearly sure), this is a track problem, and the peanalty app. give you in  same places a penalty where the orginal 5sec. penalty would give you a penalty too.
only different is, that you get now 3 warnings and in original direct this sh.t 5sec., so the penalty app. is a improve against the orginal cut thing penalty,
but still not good and do destroy sometimes your race, especialy you had a accident with other car and come out of track and you are much away from racetrack then and here i got 2xtimes a penalty already too for 1 accident (which was not my fault too).

so perhaps we should take it easy and do this cut penalty away. only fun races we do, no series race league where any people make 100laps practise and 5 steward to watch every lap and make then penalty after race and so on...

Hi folks was well gutted my game crashed on start line argggghhhhhh! I know i wouldnt be as fast as rheinhard on this track but i was lookin forwards to trying. A suggestion for the next gt2 season is poznan fantastic flowing track . I think a good idea would be too suggest a couple of tracks each and have a longer season. ;)

I'm afraid I'm on holiday for the final round of this championship, so maybe this is the last AC race I do here unless things change. Thx for making the series happen and thanks for the good racing, hope to see you again.

I dunno whats best, I'll just go along with the concensus. Meanwhile, its been updated again http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/a-pit-lane-penalty-app-for-repeated-track-cutting-1-3.17852/

Last nights race was great but again, the result looked that good, only because of others misfortune.

I ain't giving it back though.
