A great track to race! ISLE OF MAN MOUNTAIN COURSE [ FIRST ABRIDGED VERSION ] The race will be run under INT rules and you have a free car choice. You can do 2x shift+r but each has to be followed by a stop and go in the pits!
Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line. Have FUN! This looks like a chance to find out! I'll try and make it for this event as should be a good challenge, I haven't driven it in anger for several years... Predictably, there was a pile up at the first opportunity! I was mainly following Ray, and 3 times I followed him straight to the scene of the accident with a minor tap, once both upside down. Almost repeated this with Axel, this time me upside down and he just pulling away! ;D
Thought I had lapped here before.. maybe it was just an install lap. No time on GPLrank or track installed strangely. Anyhow, I forgot about the shift-rs and retired at halfway having used two and getting stuck; while trying to detach myself and making progress, GPL decided for me :laugh: This let me see Jonny take the lead and win! Yes, it was an entertaining way to learn the track better. Congrats Jonny! I cheated again. I probably used half of the 20 resets I allotted myself. I would have been out early in lap 1 or lap 2 had I limited myself to 2 resets. I didn't think anybody would mind. And if anybody did, I would have been willing to stop before the finish line. Another 30 laps here and I might be able to run a decent lap. It seems to take me 50 laps to start doing well on a new track and this event puts me close to 20 laps at the IOM. Thanks guys. |
