Make sure to read the readme carefull before installing, to get it working with 60fps2newmod!

Get all files here (ftp://ukgpl3.dyndns.org/Mods/1966/)

If not working fester found a workaround

The 66 mod and 66fpsv2newmod

I was one of those who could only run the 66 mod with 60fpsv1. This is how I fixed it. There's no need to uninstall anything

Run "gpl1966complete_1.1"
Delete the "gpl66" folder from gpl\Mods\GEM+
Run "1966mod_PATCH_v2.0_Setup"
Delete "gplc66.exe" from the gpl folder
Run GEM+, select 66 mod and 60fpsv2newmod

It worked for me. I hope it works for you.

Thanks a lot, Cookie - I was just coming on here to say I couldn't find a working download! :D  If I get into difficulties, I'll flash the Cookieman searchlight on the clouds - if you could keep your eyes open. ;)

Well 66 mod installed and working.  However, I'm still having that issue connecting (new PC).  How do I connect via IP?

In IGOR you see the server details -> server IP!

Start GPL as multiplayer, then insert the IP and the PW in the multiplayer screen...

ATM it is 95.114.68.177 no PW

Last, but still running!  Had a great battle with a Cooper for a few laps - Rainier?  Who twice overtook me on the outside of Kleine Karussel!  :o

another race, another disco.

Sorry Marco I didn't expect you to brake there;
you can usually go through with a little lift.

Congrats Andreas, Tristan! Nice job keeping your cool with Iestyn often close behind you, Andreas.

That was an ugly start for me. Tristan blew me away off the start line. That wasn't a big deal though. I prefered to be behind him early in the race, since I've never driven the BT11 BRM before. Tristan got a little sideways in Sudkehre. I had to brake to avoid contact. That put me in a vulnerable position going down the backstraight. To hold off Axel, I tried to brake a little late. Bad decision! I'm glad I was able to think fast enough to go right before I hit Tristan at Nordkehre. I was also glad I didn't appear to cause any one else to wreck.

After that first incident, I was lucky to gain so many positions by the time I reached Flugplatz. In an unfamiliar car, it was rather tense late in lap 1 following the 4 cars in front of me. Just after I started thinking, "this rather strange to have 5 cars nose to tail after the first lap at Nurburgring", I missed my braking point for the Schikane. I hit the rail on the right. :( Iestyn screwed up too. Fortunately, I was able to stop my car before I hit Iestyn.

Early in lap 2, the troubles continued. Coming out of Sudkehre, my engine exploded. That gave a position back to Iestyn. I continued struggling and spun at Kloatertal (sp?). Martin lacked patience and tried to take the position from me. I didn't work out well for either of us, especially Martin.

I didn't cheat during this race? With Axel and Martin not too far behind me, I waited an extra lap to do my stop and go. I thought/hope that was allowed by the rules. I didn't want to let Axel, Martin, or both of them ahead of me again.

Lap 3 went well. I gained some on Andreas and Iestyn and set my fast lap. I kept the throttle down until I passed the line, then I swooped into the pits for my stop and go.

Lap 4 would have been a nice one, had it not started in the pits. Lap 5 and 6 were setting up to be good laps but I spun once in lap 5 and caught the leaders on lap 6.

It would have been nice if I could have set up a double slipstream move on the long straight. I hoped tucking in behind Iestyn would push both of us passed Andreas. Iestyn and I took an inside line into Antoniousbuche. Iestyn ran wide on exit and clipped the shrubs. Once that happened Iestyn's car started flashing/warping. I couldn't tell where to go. Unfortunately I nailed Iestyn. My apologies Iestyn. I thought I had stolen a win when my car was able to continue, but Andreas made it through the melee.

Tristan looked good. I thought he would win easily. I was surprised when he went off track on the last lap and I was able to pass him, especially since I had early troubles.

Thanks guys. It was fun.

I see you Andreas! Would you like some shade from the sun? :)

Miraculously, I landed on my wheels facing the right direction after spinning through the air like a propeller. Andreas drove under me and then went left to miss Iestyn. Excellent!!!! Iestyn got screwed. He was in position to win but unfortunately landed on his top. :(

Fun race, I think that pic shows it! I simply entered the final turn too wide from the inside and thus came out straight into Greg's path.

End of lap 1, I messed up the chicane being eager to pass Andreas? to catch Tris, which also held up Greg.

After that, I had the chance to set an 8:16 or so when following Tris, who spun, but as Tris had waited for Andreas and I, I cruised around and let him catch up, so we could then chase down Andreas. Messed up the chicane ending lap 5, so couldn't chase down Tris on the last lap, but he went off and thus a new ending came about, as seen above!  ;D

PS. Bumped Tris over the line on his head, he stopped to let me by, but, having waited up for me first, and passing me as I was on my lid, the final podium spot was all his  8)

Yeah!
That was a really god and Fun race. Never had one like this before.  :)
I often heard from some people before like: " Oh no, Nordschleife is too long. Most of the time you drive on your own and it is boring". But this race proofed again they are wrong! Some of my best races where here in the "Green Hell".  ;D
Congratulations to all!!  ;)
