Will be racing tonight albeit with zero practise.
Bit disappointed we haven't used any new content tbh, should be riding the wave of renewed enthusiasm with new toys to play with  :-\

Man, almost impossible to keep up with all the changing app's and versions with AC!

I presume this combo was chosen as a lot of people will have ran this car and/or track before, as the race announcement was a bit on short notice. I am sure Chris will have some of the new content lined up for us at the next round?!

there was 1 reason why i didnt for this week

its too short notice.. i was actually thinking about not putting this up at all and just waiting until the next time but i thought i ought to get something out..plus i expect quite a low turnout so i didnt want to 'waste' any new content if you know what i mean..

as it happens, its actually quite a fun combo..

Got a target lap time? ie Alien time plus a couple of seconds  ;D

Is the default setup any good on the Elise? Not sure I've ever driven it in AC

These cars are too boring for me, that in combination with a grid that will be very small due to the late announcement, I will give this a miss.

Disappointing Jeff, you could at least turn up and see if the grid is too small. However I think you're scared ChrisR will kick your butt  :fencing:

My biggest issue, is the cars. If you end up alone, it will be very boring for 30 minutes. Also, I have alternatives to do tonight and I have to get up at 5 am tomorrow. So all in all, not worth it  :P

I tried them tonight for the first time, so opinion was based on the 1.3 patch.  :)

I actually really enjoyed that despite the low turnout. Thanks to some last minute setup advice and the eureka moment of turning off TC, (thanks Chris!) the car really came alive and felt just like the real one I've had pax laps with on track  8)
With Chris being a gent and sticking to street tyres while we were on slicks, and Bob upping his pace for the race it became a great 3 car battle for most of the race and I was glued to my screen in adrenaline with the feisty Elise. Good stuff  :fencing:
Knocked seconds off my pb so was a useful testing session as well as a good race  8)

Interested to know what other cars in AC are better without TC?

;D ;D What a great combo, this car is much improved after the update. Shame about low turnout but still had a blast. Close racing with MJ and ChrisR  till Chris blew his engine. Was chasing MJ until he had moment and let me through, after that every lap was pb until finish just in front of MJ. Thank goodness I forgot to disable tc it got me out of the last corner!!

It may looked like a lackluster combo at first glance, but boy was Chris right. Good fun to drive these Elise’s.

Just added some camber and tried to get a feeling for the track. In hindsight I should had have tweaked the ARB and TC, because it shaved another second of my PB post race. However that would still not be enough to keep up with Chris and his warpspeed mode!

Had a good start and slotted into 3rd. A little carefull as you could tell the semi-slicks where still cold. Onto the start finish straight Chris slipped out of the slipstream and I was too busy paying attention to where he was, that I got the braking wrong for turn one. With one side into the green stuff I spun out, luckily avoided Chris’s car only just. Went on and enjoyed the drive. Picked up 3rd spot after misfortune of Chris and Jason.  Looking forward to the next one. Bring out the beasts Chris! 8)

Missed race because around 19:30 your time (+/-) server was not in booking mode so I thought that event is cancelled or delayed.
Went to other server and, by the time I finished qualification and race (24h Nordschleiffe on SBB), missed the booking.
Shame!

Still have some "issues" with new tire model but yes, Elise runs closer to the real one except that "chewing gum" feel on all cars with new tire model and wrong heating as heat exchange between core, surface and air in tires is non existent.
