Championship Standings (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=501&theme=1)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

hello,

there is actual in raceroom game a competion (not leaderboard challenge) with group 5 cars in SPA track,
so if i have time i do try to make good position, top100 is goal, as there are already 600driverlaps in this competion and will be more, i hope it is same as in leaderboard challenge and i can  challenge a ghost of a driver for practise.

i did forgot to watch how long tis competions is, but i think for sure any weeks still.

Can someone remind me how you chase someone else's lap? I had a brief go at leaderboard challenge last night but didn't chase anyone but my own time  ???
Did a 2.22 so far but still feeling the car and track out. Good thing is the 935 felt race-able albeit still requiring a lot of concentration, making sure to not get greedy with the throttle etc. Felt cool though like a driver from the 70's  8)

The layout is the same. It's the start that differs (I think). Or it might be the pits?

Crew chief's been updated too, so grab the latest version if you're using it.

Managed a 2.18. something today, wonderful car / track combo but blody hard work :)

Using the 320 Turbo, problem here with automatic gearbox it won't change into 1st even at virtually walking pace  ??? so it creeps around T1 and chicane in 2nd gear. Best lap is around 2:30.

Can't you manually down shift even with auto gears?

Yes but as soon as you accelerate it changes up again making it difficult if you're at the apex either spinning you off or making you run wide!

sorry guys, I just found that so utterly frustrating I had to quit  :'( What should be my dream combo of a 935 at Spa just didn't happen. What the hell is wrong with the car just spinning up the revs mid corners without moving?!  its like I am dropping it in neutral and maxing the throttle. I just could not get through the final chicane without sitting there like a lemon revving the nuts off and not moving unless I put it into too high a gear and then losing seconds galore  ???  It did it over and over, watch the replay!. Am I supposed to be running a really high power diff or something? I had already lengthened 1st gear so it wouldn't rev too high but to no avail.  It even did it half way up eau rouge on several occasions!

Also hate the braking where no matter how softly I try and do it, it randomly pitches me into a spin.

I spent most of the practise session just getting the steering to feel better. ::) Felt so wound up by the time I left, not what I want from sim-racing.

As always cars looked and sounded great when I did manage to stay near one on track, just aaargh! :taz:

Well Done Goldtop

What a race, i drop it on the first lap and it was a uphill battle from the, tried to fight back but my engine lamp came on 10 minutes from the end, tried to hold on to Berger but was over driving the car, Jim and I once again had an epic battle at the end. But overhaul excited for the next one..

I feel your frustration from all the way up here in the blasted north MJ
These Gr5 cars are really tricky to drive, way too much power for the chassis. In 1st gear most of the cars, not just these
high power ones tend to spin wheels for fun, that final chicane (the bus stop replacement) was the reason I put off
using this track, although most of the track is a great rush in these, I felt that chicane rather spoiled it, same as the
1st chicane at Monza. I just had to learn how to stumble through it as best as I could, the cut tracks are very kind
in some places at this Spa, you can abuse that last chicane massively, same at the fast left before it.
I quite enjoyed it, though I may have a trace of masochism in my make up  ::) had some fun trying to keep Mr Stig
behind up to the end, John went past after his off and then ran away into the distance at an unearthly pace  :alien:
I have no concept of how the front runners managed to get round 7 ior so secs faster than my best efforts  :notworthy:

Been looking forward to this race for weeks and it didn't disappoint. Got lucky on the first lap when Ant went off and I took the lead but was a real nervous time having to push as much as I dare without taking risks. The chicane is a nightmare at Spa and I had to be ultra careful every time not to spin under braking. Also I'm a DFGT user so have to run auto clutch and I could feel the clutch dipping just as I was wanting to get on the power which was a bit frustrating. Maybe a shorter first gear would have helped there.

I like the Gr5 cars even with the ridiculous amounts of turbo lag/boost but I'm just glad I only race them in a sim  :)

WOW what a race!! got pole but wasn't quick enough off the line at the start and ended up behind Tudor.

With these cars its so easy to make a mistake which is exactly what happened and ended up in 5th which is where I stayed for the rest of the race!

great cars great race looking forward to the next encounter :)

Grats to Tudor for the win and the other guys I raced with for making this very close and enjoyable

Reassuring that I wasn't the only one having problems at the chicane.

I forgot about this, sat watching telly, of dubious quality, in the company of my missus. I'm betting, there's little pity for me here though... lol.
