Round 2 of the 65 Professionals championship will take place at the Montjuic circuit, when racing at Barcelona was a street. Beware braking down into turn one.

Drivers are permitted one Reset / Shift R per race, followed by a compulsory Stop & Go in the pit lane within two laps. If you take your reset on the last lap 15 seconds will be added to your time. A second Shift R will result in Disqualification unless it is the direct result of the first incident e.g. hot when respawning,

Until the number of registered drivers exceeds grid capacity drivers may join the server as soon as it appeasr in IGOR.

This Season we don't have a Red Zone. Moderating will be on reported incidents only.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

Drat! A dreaded screen freeze after ten laps.

I apologize to Philippe because I tried to overtake you while you slowed for a spun car. I did not think, I just went for the lead. Of course, I should not have tried to overtake when there is a caution. I'll check replay to see if I took too many risks.

Results up (I think, LM2 did weird on me), replay up. This place doesn't exactly have history for screen freezes. :/

I decided the view from the front of the grid is much nicer, than with the wards at the rear.  Took to the lead at the first hairpin, without need of a hairy moment, short cut, or wig-gle, and hoped it would be permanent.  8)

In due course, there arrived a Phillipe and assistants, intent on re-arranging things.  A clip at the rear resulted, as my pursuer carried more speed through a tight left.  And then a mirror image at the tight right, as I took on the barbarous role.  No serious harm done, but a gyratory moment for both, and loss of the lead.  Seemed to me to be 2 racing incidents, while fighting closely.

With Walter let loose, I was hotly persued by a Honda for 2nd, until there came the nasty silence of a broken motor, which happened again at the same spot, several laps later.  So parked up by a frame hungry fountain - a beautiful spot for a rant.  Don't believe 'til now, I've ever blown 2 motors in a single race, so suspect it was water in the works. :'(

Some very competitive and skillful racing at this tough track. Sad to see the high rate of disco's.  I suggest Moderators keep track of this attrition, and when it started, as it has become a constant and unwelcomed factor.

Commisetations to those drivers who suffered screen freezes - for some reason the faster drivers suffered most. We have run races at Montjuic before without problems & Jethro's server has been as reliable as you can expect from a non-commercial service. Personally this is not one of my favourite tracks but I wanted to run a variety of tracks, including a couple of street curcuits. My podium finish was rather undeserved.

A very fortunate win amongst some faster drivers who didn't see the flag. Walter and Philippe are both significantly quicker than when I last raced them several seasons ago. Had great fun trying to catch maddog and had a great view of one of his engine failures! I had a half spin at T1 on the last lap that scared me-thanks all and congratulations to Bernie and Billy.

Congrats Johnny, Bernie and Billy! I was sad to see Carlos disco just before the race start.

Thanks TM for hosting the Ams races, and thanks Billy for putting different types of tracks on the calendar. The 65's were perfectly suited for the tight and twisty Montjuic. I had such a good time in the first ten laps, that I am not too sad that it was all for naught. I remember there being some discos at this track last season for the 69X series, on the last lap no less.

I enjoyed having so many drivers to compete against. This leads to lots of close racing. Unfortunately, there is a limited amount of room to race at Montjuic, and so it is very difficult to not have contact. Hopefully this will be better at Snetterton.  

I managed a few laps of practise to refine a set up for this beautiful track , one of my favorites as it happens , all was fine off line but when I joined the server found I was getting a large dose of frame rate drops particularly around the tighter corners , hairpin etc. making driving very dodgy and almost impossible to set the car up for the corner apex . Dont understand why it should be OK off line yet rubbish on line ?
solved the problem by using lower res graphics and lower detail level .

As for the race , got a great start with a clear run down to T1 then found myself chasing team ferrari for many laps until for one reason or another they all fell by the wayside , very lucky to find myself P2 after an uneventful race apart from tyre problems with the RH front going into meltdown whenever I pushed too hard .

Last lap I came over the hill top to T1 and  saw John's Honda reversing away from the barriers , thought this was going to be my lucky day but he got away again before I could take advantage .

another problem I have with 65' mod is pribluda display has large size figures which wont fit completely in the menu boxes and overlap each other so its impossible to read ,

Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this will be greatfully received .

Bernie- Offline practice I had front right tyre  going into meltdown that was rectified by adding a dose of power side angle on the diff and using the throttle to help turn- changed from 60/60 to 45/60. As for prib I think you can change the font size...may be wrong I'll take a look tomorrow.

Bernie .... open PRIBLUDA CONFIG with notepad in global settings you can alter font size i think normal is 12,
       ie    fontsize = 12    mine is set to 20 for my poor eyesight, loads of other things you can alter as well.

If the problem only affects the 65 mod , Am I right to assume we can adjust the text size for each individual mod ?

NO! pribluda is for all mods the same!
If you change the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 of course the letters will be much bigger.

If you still use Direct 3D V2 you should switch to OGLV2 

Where to find pribluda config ?  in your SIERRA/gpl FOLDER.

I was sad too Walter.  :'( Specially after practicing most of the week for this event.

The only file I can find in GPL is pribluda.ini ? the settings for text are global unless I'm missing something here dont see how changing this this will help , I was hoping to find something mod specific .

Bernie that is were you can alter the settings for Pribluda, Cookie said ( pribluda is for all mods the same) so any change will be for all mods.
Has this just happened with new full screen mod?
is this text wrong just at top of screen or bottom or both?

Bernie - maybe you have a different screen resolution setting for the 65 mod? Not sure but I think you can vary the setting in GEM or game options for each different mod.

it seems the link to the replay (as it indicated in the 1st post) is not the correct one (this is for the Pros race)

Congrats podium!

I notice from scoring, a penalty point has been applied to my personage.  No problem with that.  t seems my warning has been upgraded.  But Philippe committed a near identical deed shortly before mine, with unequal treatment.

We need more penalty points - it's lonely out there! :surrender:

Not intentional.
Looks like a glitch in the system. My best guess is this happened because Phillipe suffered a screen freeze prior to half distance he was unclassified / did not score points.
I'm assuming this is more nuisance factor than a major issue.

I shall be writing to my MP about this!  :clown:
