I should be ok for this one, assuming nothing horrible happens when building my system.  I couldn't quite believe that only 2 GT cars finished at Estoril!  Kinda wish I'd tried racing with min. gfx settings on this PC... even if it'd looked worse than MF1GP on my old A500+

Good stuff Zacari. Be good to have you back.

Actually 3 finished in GT. I thought only 2 had because I came third overall in my NGT 360, but in fact Enz also finished in GT, just further back (sorry missed that when I looked at the results).

What times are you NGT Porkers doing in your 911s then?

I can't quite crack into the 1:51's, I'm pretty consistent in the low 1:52's in my qualifying set-up though.

Getting in some sneaky practice Shark ;). Low 1.51 in quali, should be a bit more to come. Quit happy with that until I saw Mo's times and what is possible there. Not decided on race strategy yet as the non-stopper is an option. Just be glad to have a reasonable finish at Monza, for the first time in about five attempts. End of term feel about it  :).

I think the 911s will have quite a bit of an edge at Monza. Certainly higher top speed.
I'm not going to be doing anything like low 1:51s in the F360.

What wing you running?

In the TPG Monza sprint race I was running with a splitter/wing arrangement of 1/4 for the Bi-Turbo and GT3.  I could hit 172 down the start/finish straight and still bring it back down to make the first chicane.  I noticed that the F360's couldn't quite keep up on the straights coming off corners.

I do have to say though, I'm working with the F360 for the Chaser's Spa Endurance race next week, and the F360 has insane braking capabillity.  Better so far than the 911's, I don't know if that's a setup/experience issue but they can outbrake me without too much problem.  So I don't know...the extra speed gets you so far with the 911, but the F360's have the edge with braking.

My Monza jinx hits again  :-[. Had a bit of a set to which sent me way, way into the sand with a puncture. Gave up trying to get out, when I was lapped. I think my non-stopper might have been a winner as well.

Oh well, quali was fantastic fun.

Bit of a disaster here too. Managed to press the clutch and not the brake for Parabolica  :-[ After extrcating myself from the beach, and just after I pass the pit entrance, the crew tell me I've lost the front splitter. Then I get spun round in the first chicane on my lap to the pits. After my 104 sec pitstop to repair the damage I was 1:33 behind the car in front.

Got that down by 30 secs before the ADSL went AWOL. First disco I've had for an age. Saved me the pain of another 50+ mins "racing".

Seems like the ADSL has been much more unreliable again. I thought this max thing had settled down but it's started to give me grief again :(

I'm so gutted :'( :'( :'(

PB in quali and pole, leading by 20sec+ around lap 15 and PC froze coming off the parabolica.

 :censored:

I hit esc but not much happened, keyboard wasn't being very responsive so I hope I didn't damage anyone elses race.

Quali was awesome, first 2 runs I had to abort because of traffic but the 3rd was clear and took .4 off my PB.  Then sat in the pits watching Jon drive the wheels off the Lister, ending up about 0.06s behind, was top class stuff! :)

First off, real sorry to SBG, was lookin forward to our usual great on track battles there, but you just caught me out when you hit the brakes earlier than i expected you too, i tried desperately to avoid you but the 'tow' just meant i had too much momentum. Was hoping you would rejoin as i managed to, but alas no. Sorry mate.

Guessed some buggers were no stopping in the early laps when i was able to steam past everyone i met on track :(

Had great early pace and was flying well, but the incident with SBG left me back down in 19th by the time i rejoined. I then spent the race chasing everyone down and was very pleased when i caught back up with Don.
However yet again, my lazy ass pitmen let me down and despite being right behind Don at the pit stops, i came out 21 seconds down after them...b*astard mechanics ::)
Then couldnt match Dons pace for last 15 minutes and when i did start catching i clumped a spinning back marker who went across my bows out of the 2nd chicane...cost me about 15-20 seconds :'(
My worst result for a while and a shame to end a great season like it, but well done to my team mates and the NGT winners...even if they did win by no-stopping ;) :P

A fantastic season of endurance, had some great battles along the way, cheers guys.  8)

Great qualifying, I took 0.7s off my PB to grab 3rd with just about 0.1s between SBG, Shark & I.

Decided last minute on a no-stopper, I thought "what the hell" as there wasn't much to play for in the standings. Never having driven for that long before I took it waaaay too easy for the first 40 minutes but was still in 4th when Shark, then Tyf came in to pit leaving me 2nd behind Truetom.

It was deja vu as I followed Truetom for another 40 minutes, just as I did in S2 Sprint. Decided to push it for a bit for the last 15 minutes but Truetom wasn't for cracking tonight, great drive mate  :thumbup1:

And to make matters worse, Shark pipped me on the line to take 2nd, there can't have been more than 0.5s between 1-2-3. Great drive Shark as you didn't 'cheat' ;)

Fantastic season, some great driving and some close battles, it's great there's so much close competition. And a big  for Shark for taking the NGT title!

Gutted for you Zacari. You were leading by a country mile.

Qualifed on pole, very pleasing, just 0.1 off my PB, with SBG and Pops with almost identical times to me. Zacari on GT pole was fantastic, Team Shark 1 - 2 of a fashion.

Perfect race for me was miles ahead of everyone else in NGT (which was brilliant for me as i don't like Monza and have never gone well there) and found TrueTom and Pops doing no stoppers (have you no shame?!  :o :'(). Could also have done a no stopper as my tyres were brilliant, but not really in the spirit of Endurance imho. Anyhow, chased them 2 down and caught them on the very last lap, just pipping Pops 911 by a whisker across the line as i caught his draft with TT just metres ahead too.

Had I not been clipped across the start finish line by a lapping GT I might have got TT as well, we'll never know. Quite a good save by me (must have a look at the replay on that) as was pushed onto the grass and my heart was in my mouth as I managed to keep control. Lost me 3 - 4 seconds though which was gutting cause I was catching the leaders hand over fist at the time.

Great racing again, have thoroughly enjoyed this season, probably more than any other so far. Endurance is so satisfying.

Have to wait for the final results, but Team Shark have a podium in the NGT of some sort (2nd or 3rd not sure yet). Well done guys, good stuff.

I think that is CeeJay, Boyd and Krueger top 3 in GT, congrats and Me, SBG and I think Mark in NGT.

I'm scheduling some exciting new endurance stop gap races for the coming Sundays SO DON'T GO ANYWHERE!

Well had to send CJ and Krue away to get it but finally got a Win!! ;D

Qual was crap, Ive not run many laps there at all especially in the GT's I think I did my PB actually and was still 5th like .0XX behind mo. My only mission was to wrap up the season and get back my 2nd place spot from Krue, so I just planned to cruise. Seemed to work pretty good.
mo was bit off pace early so I ran up beside him and he backed off so I guess I got a freeby there, and then I guess it was spacefox in the Saleen got loose heading onto back straight wich gave me and easy run by. Saw JonM off in a cloud of dust early too, so quickly found myself in 2nd.
Zac was as you blokes would say, "going like bloody hell" so I just settled in and figured Id see what happened. Swapped 2nd a couple times with mo as we each made mistakes in one place or the other, but after my pit I had a pretty good lead since Zac had discoed by then. Somewhere around lap 25 I was coming up on Maveric and another porka that was I think a lap down to him, and going into 1 I punted maverick pretty good despite braking like 30m before my normal point. Guess maybe you were being more cautious due to the lapper on the inside, but anyway sorry, I was REALLY trying to be carefull and patient. Anyway I had 40+ sec by that point so I went ahead and did a drivethrough for good measure and came out with a 30 sec lead and about 10 laps to go. mo was makeing time some laps and I was others, guess we were both just being carfull in trafic.

Anyway Easy does it proved to work again, I'll take it  ;)

its been a fun season, thanks for having us, Id love to do somthing in the nGt's, they are my favorite ;)

Cheers

Darin

Great season thanks to all who took part or organised it!!

Not a good race for me quali was disastrous and the race wasn't much better!. Managed to work my way up to 3rd when I caught a back marker at Ascari, I had to change my line and when I put the power down the rear came round fast but I managed to catch it unfortunately then it went the other way and into the barrier!!. After a 110 second pit stop I rejoined in 14th place just ahead of JonM and managed to keep him at bay for afew laps but then I caught a kerb wrong and lost it again. Spent the last laps chasing down Enz13 and got a run on him into parabolica but we touched and he went off so it was back to the pits for a drive through :'( .

Still a fitting end to a season that started so badly for me but it was worth the pain! ;D once again many thanks y'all and see you soon...

Great race with lots of battles for me :) Firstly sorry to TT who I lost count of how many times I tapped :-[  (still couldn't stop you in the end ) I had a full tank at the start of the race and was ready to do a non stopper but ended up melting my tyres trying to get round TT into T1 and ended up playing it safe and getting a fresh set of rubber. Had a bit of a battle with Tyf after that and was praying the race would go the full time to try and catch out all those non stoppers ;)

Thanks to all the winners and losers for a great season :) :)

In your own time mate  :thumbup2:. And thanks to you, Maurice and everyone behind the scenes.

No worries Mark. You were not to know I was trying sneaky non-stopper and driving conservatavely. Shark, might argue that it was karma or something  ;).

Its been a real pleasure racing with a number, I think there are about 6 of us with similar pace, of you gents this year.

ROFL. Too bloody right.  :P :P :P :P :P

I have to say I was really confused at the start as to why you and Pops dropped off the back of me so easily, I wasn't really flying at that point although I was driving ok and steady, feeling my way in. Thought you were just being cautious, i was being really dumb, didn't realise till after I stopped that there were some naughty no stoppers.   ;D D'oh!

Qually was great. Zacari was so quick I just couldn't string the perfect lap together to edge it. Then the race :( I was cack. span 4 times and then destroyed my splitter but at the same time my splitter went at the right time. Went into the pits and put maximum fuel in and it was just enough to last me the race.Didn't spin it again after pitstop but the car just didn't seem as quick after the damage. I was surprised and glad to have finished 3rd but I gotta feel for Zacari, he was the class of the field and to get disco'd is a real bummer :( But congrats to uber penguin TT  8) Woohoo ;D And grats to GTN drivers club for the 1-2-3 in the drivers champ and team title. Great stuff. And thanks to the organisers your a quality bunch of lads...along with the drivers too ;)

Good feeling to be in the first line again.  :)

Qualified 4th NGT and got punted in lap 1 by Don - same as by Flybri in NGT Barcelona. Cold tyres, cold brakes, Monza...  ;D No worry Don, it just happens. After I crawled back to track there was only 1 car behind me, I think. Managed to get slowly by some racers, was very careful 'cause of my tyres. Didn't really plan a no-stop, just got full of fuel so that I would just have to change my tyres. Planned to do 1 hour with meds, then pit and put softs on for flying last 20 minutes. But after that spin I knew I only had a chance if I don't pit. So I was careful not to hit anyone.

GT Legends were like a pack of wulfs tonight: first half I was racing against Don, then Popabawa took over!  :sweatdrop: Had to work for every meter against those Porsches, they caught me on every straight - only late braking was saving me (as Don found out the hard way, lol). Don tried to pass me into the first chicane, but couldn't stop - it was identical to Popabawa some races back, I think it was NGT S2 in Monza, right Popa? Anyway, Don jumped over the curbes, prolly got a warning and waited for me to regain position - very fair, buddy!  :)

A bit later Popa and Don managed to bump into eachother and I came through.   I'm not sure, Popa, did I bump you from the rear then? I couldn's see from the replay and in race I didn't feel a thing. I have nothing against you reporting to moderator to look it over. It was a crucial point in race - I think I was leading from that point onward. Well then it was just a bloody sweaty work for half a race as I tried to keep Popa behind. He got me before every corner, I was looking more into the mirror than to the front, bloody hell!!!!  :o Really felt the tyres going to the end, started smoking on braking, careful, careful...  :scared: To the end I was loosing hope - only the politeness of THE Popabawa saved me as if you made a move we would either crash or you would win. Very fair, Popa, probably too fair!  :thumbup1:

Then I saw my saviour, Mr. Shark. He started biting into Popas a$$ and so I had a chance to stay in front. That last s/f straight would have been my defeat - I would be 3rd.

But I wasn't, even if you do call it cheating.  :P :P :P
I must say that I don't feel like I was cheating - not in Spa and not in Monza, certainly not after the initial spin. I had to work for this and I feel righteous (is that a word or just a movie frase?)  ::)

Good race Popa, Don. And Shark, as you needed just 1 more lap to win.   :o

I missed 4 races in E2 due to my hardware problems. Too bad, might have been different ending.   :fencing:

Tyf was driving good, too, very fast (don't pit next time  ;D ); good work all Penguins.  :)

No hard feelings TT. It's currently within the rules to do that so can't really complain. Was a very exciting finish. As you say, one more lap and I'd have made a move on you too (at least i would certainly have tried  :D) Congrats on the win you pesky penguin!  :P :)

I do feel part of the point of Endurance is the skill of a pit stop and the strategy that goes with that, stopping early or late and taking on x amount of fuel. I would like to see it in S3 if everybody else agrees.

I *think* I know what caused the disco, nothing to do with GTR but a really stupid BIOS setting.  Basically I updated it yesterday, but didn't re-check all of the settings and there's one called 'CPU throttling' which forces the CPU to slow down alot when the 'max' fan speed temp is reached, set to 50C.  And because I'd turned down the fan speed of my CPU, low and behold it got to 50C during the race and BIOS fecked over everything! :censored: :stupid:

On the plus side it shouldn't happen again ;) :D

Mosport with BMW's would be awesome!!! unfortunately it has a big bug if you run too close to the kerb on the last corner then you get lap not counted.
How about Phillip Island, Sepang or Brands Hatch

Sorry about crawling on the outside of the last turn towards the end there, I just didn't want to ESC out if I could possibly help it, I felt I was far enough off the race line as not to pose a hazard.  Thank you for giving me the reserve spot, I'll try to make more races next season.  I did set a new PB during the race, so not everything was a wash.

We did MidOhio and Virginia in the TPG World Tour last season... I thought Mid Ohio was pretty good (I'm biased I live near it and visit there) and it has been driven in other leagues, if you check out FILSCA.  Virginia is, well it's interesting...some tricky turns might be tough with GT and NGT cars on the track.  I've driven a few of the other US tracks, I'd have to go back and look at them again before I commented on them.

Please start a new thread on add on tracks, lol! Else I will have to name them all now that I like (Road Atlanta, Sebring for instance :), Bahrein, ooooooaaarrrrghhhhhhhh the choices!!! :D) & I'm knackered after a 80 mins tussle with a Bi-T ;)

Race: Thought I'd finally lay my faithful Bi-T to rest with this last Monza race, but now that I've driven it... I'm not so sure. I hardly ever drive GTR anymore and have lost my 'touch' with the Bi-T * sniff *...
But it went great! LOL! Easy start then got into rhytmn. Trying to overtake Popa, I got a tap in the 1st chicane, which was silly of that person imo, but cba to report it. No real damage luckily, so continued on my merry way and in the end had a great 'battle' with Don, who had just pitted before me. (the Bi-T has to pit btw for an 80 mins race TT ;), loool!). He was some 3 secs in front and I managed to close the gap to 1 or so, then leaders started lapping us and I was less fortunate when a backmarker got involved as well. Overdriving it a bit to get within 2 secs again, I spun it. Tried to take it easy which made me spin again, hehe. Is that an asset or a burden when u can only drive well 'under pressure'?! :D. Pwetty pleased with fastest racelap for NGTs, only 0,5s off PB. So nice ending to a nice season!

Grats to winners, drivers, cars, manufacturers, EGGS :P, spectators, officials, track side marshals (tx for waving the yellow flag @ just about EVERY friggin corner I passed today! LOOOL!) and tx to of course Ze insane Penguins Pit Babes ;) (http://tyfdesk.com/misc/zeinsanepenguinspitpussies.jpg) for keeping us COLD throughout the season!

Off to the afterparty in Italy! :punk:

Replay (http://www.ukgtr.org/replay/Monza%20-%20Endurance%20S2%20300406.zip) and provisional results are now available.

Congratulations to all who braved the longer races, especially to those who won races and their championships  ;D

No problem Don when you tapped me in the first turn, and sorry to Mark for "going across your bows"!

Although I have not really been competitive hope to do this more going forward and therefore will practice a lot more - hope I have not got in anyone's way too much.

Don't know why people say GTR is not good for league racing when you look at this setup - great work guys! Certainly as good as the Nascar leagues I run, and without the bull on the forums afterwards as well - long may that continue!!

Cheers
Nick

Love the New manufacturer's symbol's in the league table 8) Looks cool.
It'd be great to do a Lemans race at some point ;)
Just seen TT Pip 3rd in the NGT Championship! What a run from halfway into the season 8) That deserves a power AWKKK! Woohoo ;D

:thumbup1

I'll have to look at the replay to see what happened when you, me and Don went into the chicane, I'd had to slow right down for a backmarker, I'm not sure if there was contact but I was forced to go wide on to the gravel which was when you and Don overtook me.

There were a couple of times right towards the end when I could have tried an overtaking move but after 70 mins of racing there was no way I could have been confident in making it clean (my tyres weren't in the best of shape either!) so I did back off a couple of times in the last few laps. Better that than taking us both off I reckon :) If the championship had been at stake it might have been different though... ;)

Well, as you can clearly see, I'm crossing the finishing line while Shark's way over to the right and off the track and therefore should be disqualified  ;D  :P

... and relegate Shark down the final championship standing. I see the crowds left when I did  :P.

From experience, the Lemans race should be a beauty. If you there is a good Laguna, I'd go for that and Spa is still good as well.

I'll put my vote in for Laguna too, Watkins Glen would be good fun as well.

Happy to run anything though really as long as we get a bit of notice for practice as I haven't driven many of the add-on tracks.

Cant believe i dropped from 3rd to 5th (joint 4th) in the championship in the last race  :(

Truetom ya bugger!...you stole my 3rd place :P

That was my worst performance/result for a while :'( I had no time for practise all weekend and turned up 'cold'. Still, got a PB in qualy and i had good race pace from the off and would have worried the one stoppers up front if not for the big off with SBG into the worlds biggest gravel trap. ::) It just cost me too much time in the end and i lost all chance of battling Don after my long pitstop..again >:(  I need to adopt a different approach to the stops, i ended the race with 29 bloody litres still on board...D'oh.

I hope we can either make it a compulsory stop and/or make the race that extra 10mins? longer to make you have to stop, for season 3 enduro. I know it adds an extra strategy element with some attempting a no stop, but it does make those who fight an entire race with other drivers feel robbed at the end.

As for add on tracks, i'd like Laguna, Le Mans, Monaco, Watkins Glen and maybe Silverstone or Imola as options, they would all add a great factor into the season. Dont want it getting 'same-ol'same ol' for circuits.

Thanks, I've been meaning to split them out for ages but between the UKGTL ladder and Shark pestering me (and supplying some started logos) I finally got it done. :D

We did Silverstone in the TPG World Tour as well...I thought it was a pretty good track, no bugs and the fps was good.

ROFL!
LMAO!

I knew as soon as I saw that picture you'd say that. LOL. Good picture Don.

Have to say when we crossed the line I didn't know who'd got 3rd, until i checked my LCD display. For some reason I'd even forgotten to rev the engine all the way into the red so quite a big slip stream enabled me to do that.
