I was able to do ten consecutive laps without incident in my first practice session. That could be a first for me! I plan to test the changes that I made to the car tomorrow.

I know!  I'm sure that I inhaled some of your engine innards!

That was hard work;  need a lie-down [or at least a sit down with a cold one;  now my heart-rate has calmed down!].

Congrats Bastian.   Also, congrats to JP - you were too quick for me & I was only just hanging on for a number of laps.  Then you were pushing me to blue sectors until the end.

But some good scrapping throughout. Was glad to have managed to get past the Rog/Maddog battle; although I was hoping that you would still be keeping each other busy :)

Cheers,
Dave.

Congrats Bastian, tough luck for Bernie. Billy overtook me fairly easily on the second lap. I tried not to take too many risks in the beginning. I did try to apply pressure, but it did not work. I eventually followed too close and had to take evasive maneuvers. I had a costly spin, and I used twenty laps to catch back up. I was in a nice position to watch Billy and Rog battle. Luckily, I was able to participate in the battle for 6th place with three laps to go. I had to use the draft and some late braking on the last lap to make the pass stick. I have to give lots of credit to Rog and Billy for leaving me room to race side by side. I would not have finished in front if the race was one lap longer. Billy was very consistent, but I was very lucky. Sometimes it is hard to beat good luck!

Good race guys,
Walter

Touch off the pace tonight - my own fault for deciding against any practice because I know the track well enough.
Can't remember having a single spin - very consistent, yet only good enough for 7th place. this division is very competitive.
Whilst a higher finish has its rewards, close racing makes GPL what it is.
Walter was quite cautious on the first couple of laps & I was able to pass him. He stayed on my gear box for several laps before a minor mistake. I was able to close up on Rog after he span - an even battle in the BT11's where we swapped places braking a few times into Crowthorne. Martin was always just too far in front to get a draft. In the last couple of laps Walter was back & out-braked me on the last lap & held on till the finish. All completely fair - but very sneaky in the under-powered Cooper. Thanks for the competition chaps.

Congratulations to Bastian and Carlos they drove really well. I had two spins all by myself and was trying to manage a hot left front but was caught by DC who forced an error from me and through he went. Whilst trying to catch him my tyres improved as DC had some good lines through the corners which I employed. The last few laps were great racing with DC- I think on the last turn of the last lap DC may have spun his wheels as he seemed a little out of shape giving me a chance with a good exit- a drag race to the line....3rd place.  Thanks all see you next time.

Congratulations to Bastian and Carlos they drove really well...

Seriously well, very consistent and quick. They'd have been less than a minute behind the winner in the Pros, at a track where it's easy to make mistakes and lose a lot of time from trying just a bit too hard. Might be some offers of promotions at season's end.

And your 1:25.1 in the race is getting close to Pro pace, too.

:jumpjoy: thx. but it depends on the track and the setup for me.
When I have to make my own setup everything goes wrong.
When I don't know the track 110% I spin.

Really enjoyed the fight with carlos. Bad end with 5 laps to go when we both ran wide and you touched the gras.
Grats to all (finishers), no one gave up or disco !

Came last but had a most enjoyable race, got a good start and had great fun chasing Martin who must of had a super off road setup which kept his Cooper ahead of me, Dave Curtis then passed me, i did an off and lost contact with them, Billy caught me and we had some good close racing changing places several times, Walter crept up on us for a 3 car battle in his Coop which i lost. Thanks guys for such good close racing.

Grats Bastian on win

Grats to Podium

Mod. report published.  Fast on the track, and fast off the track this Season!  This sort of thing does not happen by accident. :turned:
