Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Drivers are advised to install the advanced setup mod. This will enable wing angle to be modified. Get the mod here http://www.mediafire.com/download/3hufvlu3k93egh3/Advanced_Setup.zip

Install three files (Game.dic, GTLOptions1.gtl and gtlui.mnu) into your folder called UIdata.

Thanks Tony, one of my favourite tracks, just right for the M1. New PB in qualifying, good start managed to thread myself though the start line chaos and ended up 3rd at end of the first lap. Had one of the faster cars trying to pass me from T1 and then at Club (??) I went in too deep and banged along the Armco, I kept my foot in, managed to get onto track only to spin off onto the infield. By the time I got back on the track I was last.  :'(

Lost my rhythm and slowly dropped back until my WinZip kicked me back to Home Screen with a message I had ***** temporary files  ::) ???, just what I needed to know during a race! When I'd cleared it and got back to my race I'd crashed, after that the handling was dodgy and I stuffed the car into the bank at Stow wrecking it.

I Had problems with my WinZip 20.5 before Offline, if I can't sort before the next race I'll return to V20! >:(

Silverstone is not truly a favorite of mine, but this version was entertaining enough with the M1  :)

Massive improvement of my pb in qual, but with omnipresent aliens and handicapping, it didn't get me any further than 4th on grid.  Had practiced starting, but still managed to make a complete mess of it.  Too little revs, bogging down.  Fortunately for me, Ziu bogged down even more, and as mayhem broke out behind me, I crawled off the line and into 2nd, with a fair gap behind me no less.

Surprised to keep pace with Kai over the early laps, but Ziu was soon on my case. He drove alarmingly close, and as I feared, he hit me a T1, sending my car spinning off.  Ziu waited, but before I could extract myself from the grass and get going again, Tony had slipped by. Surprised it was only him, considering I lost around 10 secs.  Got past Tony again at Stowe Corner, when he left the door fairly open.  Gave me a little breather, as Tony kept Ziu behind for a few laps.  Inevitably he got past though and as he closed the gap over a number of laps, I contemplated my move once he caught me.  Should I just let him past, instead of risking another bump ?  On the other hand, he would most likely be more cautious this time, which spoke against giving anything away for free.  Ziu solved the dilemma when he got close, by slipstreaming me down Hangar Straight and making a clean pass into Stowe.

He steadily stretched the gap from there.  With 20-30 secs to the car behind, my 3rd place was in no immediate danger, but the race turned lonely.  Late in the race, after passing Clive's convincing imitation of a smoke machine at the exit of the chicane, I passed two cars milling about in the grass at T1. Could it be ?   Sure enough, it was Kai & Ziu, thus handing me the lead.  With just 4 laps left, it was an absolute gift. Had a gap of 19 secs at the beginning of the final 3 laps, so no one would be able to catch me, unless I did something exceptionally stupid - or had miscalculated the fuel amount.  Held to the end and a most unexpected win.

Grats to the other 3 who made it to the finish, and commiserations to those that met with misfortune - seemed to be a lot of CTDs yesterday.

Cheers,
Erling

Grats Erling and podium finishers!!

I managed to qualify in 3rd position, but Ziu made a bad start and i got "stuck" behind him, i guess Chahine could not avoid to crash into me and i bumped into the armco breaking front suspension. I decided to go on without repairing the damage and after passing a couple of cars who get caught in lap 1 incidents i started a fight with 3 more drivers, one of them, Chahine, had a terrible lag, driving behind him was a real pain, i tried to overtake but i couldn't find a chance and shortly after, during lap3, i crashed with his laggy car at full speed just before Abbey. I went to the grass hitting the fence and i decided to retire the car, very frustrating, hope more luck in the next one.

Cheers.

First thing i ask apologize to Erling and Kai, honestly i was many time without do a mistake and honestly i dont wanted pass, just i  braking i could go more later and i believed that Erling and Kai could do the same thing on Copse curve, that s my mistake, also because i was very close to Erling and Kai both times. It seems that i gift Procar championship to Erling. Grats Erling. About qualify i m enough happy also in i sure that with Attila was possible go under 1:27. Race very good i recovered 16 second about on Kai, this it mean that i found a good setup. I think also that between Procar and GTO not many difference, i dont tested GTO here but i think that yesterday Procar was better than GTO.

Ciao Dario, i did bad start because from pole line here not was possible to see the semaphore.

I thought that lights are visible front the first row in the left side of the track, moreover there is a countdown feature in GTL, really useful  ;D Anyway, as i said, hope more luck in next race  ;)

I have always believed that not it was possible to see the countdown online (http://www.vocinelweb.it/faccine/varie/pag5/60.gif). What is ridicolous it s that i lost more time for try the start than to try my setup......(http://www.vocinelweb.it/faccine/varie/49.gif)

These cars are a little too modern for my old bones and I cannot quite get my head around having so much power and high levels of grip.

I confess that it is very satisfying when you get a corner right and the car launches itself onto the next straight. On the other hand...when you get it wrong, things go wrong very quickly!!! ;D

I managed to hook up one lap in qually that placed me way too high on the grid given my lack of ability. For about 0.5 secs I thought I had made a great start from 5th on the grid.....until the car directly ahead failed to move  :o :o
In order to avoid rear ending the car ahead I threw my car to the left and hurtled onto the grass. By the time I had recovered everything was very quiet with not a car in sight. :-\
For the first 10 laps I was able to close up and pass a few cars, but it cost a lot of rear rubber and by the time I could see Tony's car in the distance, the handling was beginning to suffer. Eventually I asked too much of what was left of the rear tyres and the scenery revolved around my car.
A lap later and another off at the chicane and things went from slightly dodgy to hopeless.
Maybe when I retire in 2 weeks time I might find time to understand these new fangled beasts a little more...maybe.

Grats to Erling on being there to take the win when the chance presented itself, and to all of those who made it to the flag.

Funny one - as long as it lasted - although I dropped to next to last during the start after a 7th place in quali and I was unable to further improvements. Had hoped to reach under 1:30 on a more regular basis - as I had no private training sessions at all caused by absence over the weekend.

I like Silverstone and with the M1 it would have been a interesting race, but I lost connection during Qualy and I got on the starting grid at the last moment, I had a good start surely helped by someone stalling when the lights went green and jumped 5 places before T1, then did a couple of laps 5th or 6th, but then cars started to disappear from my screen and I guess my connection was getting worse, and around lap 4 I lost connection with the server and got kicked out of the race,

I'm sorry De Martini if it was my fault that you went out of the race due to my lag.

Hope to see u next race

Cheers

Michel
