I want to give this one a try. I'll start at the back for safety's sake. :)

Think the apt saying for this place is easy to learn, hard to master. Good fun, up until BRM vs grass into T1 = no bueno.

Pole, check. Fastest lap, check. No win, check  ;).

Thought I'd plump for the Lotus this round after using the BRM since the start of the season. With the car advantage I managed to bag my 3rd Pole on the trot. I even managed to keep it after the first lap although Rob was keeping me honest in the Brabham. Though I was driving steadily for the first third of the race, I was struggling with the brakes and eventually snapped the rears on the approach to the first corner, spinning into the gravel trap. That surrendered the lead to Rob and the mid race patch was marred with my flustered driving. Had an awesome battle with Art and Peter in particular during my comeback up to 2nd place though. Tried as I might, Rob was just too far ahead so I settled for 2nd place. Really enjoyed the Lotus, might have to keep using it with results like that  :).

Congrats to Rob for an excellent, consistent drive. Good to see Iestyn manage to finish a race and to Greg for a fighting drive  :).

After a solid qual (and the loss of two Maserati engines..) I had a hard race. Mainly for the reason of constant lack of 60 fps for the most part of the track. Last time I raced here everything was okay, so it was a really frustrating. After all P9 out of 14 finishers is okay. Considering that I finished on lead lap, it's even better :) Grats to the winner and podium guys!

ps. Sorry Clive for that nudge in lap 1. I felt relieved when I saw your name again in Prib :)

Quali was good, if I had pulled all sectors together it wouldn't have been good enough for Pole, impressive lap by Sam!

Also after start had to concede and settled for second. Tried hard but couldn't hold on to Sam, who had a 2-3s gap before it stabilized. Also Attilio was pushing hard behind me. Then Sam went off at T1, and I almost followed him, but kept it together. After that was able to manage the pace, tires and the gap.

But a very tough race, demanding track actually despite the easy lay-out.

Well done Sam, good recovery and great pace in the allmighty Lotus! Also well done to Peter, and finishers. Great to see Iestyn and Greg in the race. Commiserations to the retirements, wonder what happened to "Art"...

Looked like a clean start I think, pretty impressive with such a full grid! :)

Qual went fine, not much practise, so during the race I found out my braking for T1 was overly cautious, but satisfied with P4 with Sam, Rob and Art ahead of me..

I knew super-starter Pelle was next to me on the grid so I stayed wide in T1, pointed the nose in and went for the exit, made me able to repass Pelle and be on the tail of Art, had to lift not to hit him but made braking after the bridge very tight with me right behind Art and Pelle right behind me.. Seeing Pelle coming closer and closer in the mirrors under braking I decided to lift a little, then coming in too fast and going sideways on entry though without spinning, Pelle though got hit as he slowed not to hit me :-S

Got handed 3rd as Art spun in T1, almost crashed as I was aiming to go outside him as he was rolling backwards in towards apex, but he decided to floor it and I, only just, avoided him going inside.. Sam then spun in front of me but quickly put me under hard pressure for a couple of laps before it was too much for me and I skirted sideways under braking after the bridge onto the grass and ran wide.. rejoining right behind Art - based on the first couple of laps in the race - I knew Art took it quite slowly coming into the S-bend, so I decided to go for it while I had the chance and got alongside coming into it, got ahead for the right-bend and then Art managed the situation very nicely not crashing into me as he had more speed on the exit with me having a tight corner, a brake duel for T-last and I was able to hold P3.. From replay I can see he lost it under braking after the bridge loosing a rearwheel on the rails a few laps later.. From then on it was just a cruise home as Sam was pulling away massively and Pelle in 4th was some distance behind..

Fun race! Cool to see so many cars on the grid! Grats to Rob with another win and Sam with an impressive pace in the lotus!

Just finish a F1LEGEND race, but have to load the track and reboot the pc.......arriving at Balcarse for the last 15 mn qualif....but have no setup ready...so 4-5 clear laps, but not enought time to do it well..... in a sutch conditions, I start carrefully the race to learn the track .....second part of the race was better but still far from the leaders time....I v been slow but consistant.....I will got a better preparation ( it's not difficult ! ) for the next one....
well done Rob, podium and finishers ;)

Great win by Robert!  Grats, amigo!  :)

A good P2 by Sam...doubtless disappointed but a good result nonetheless...and P3 for Gismo.  Well done, chaps.

Not a lot to tell from my side.  Bested my pre-race trials PB by 8/10 looking to nab the pole.  Started P6.  Ahem...  :(

A decent start and being careful going over the bridge on Lap01 but a slide by Gismo up ahead and Pelle having to slow quickly to avoid resulted in me giving Pelle's Honda a nudge.  He spun.  NUTS!  I'll most likely have to pay for that.  Less than a lap later, I see a Honda close on my tail and figuring it was the right thing to do, I feathered the throttle coming off T1 on Lap02 to let him pass.  Pelle acknowledged with a wave.  Cool.  :)

Cookie was giving me fits in the early laps with his Cooper but eventually, I started to gap him.  I hung on to the Honda and was improving my pace nicely when the engine burst on Lap08.  MERDE!

Fun track, btw...

No worries Jani, I was having so many problems with the Cooper, that I never even noticed your nudge!!

Decided to try the Cooper again after ignoring it for so long and spent most of quali trying to tweak the setup. It was almost sorted when some dam fool decided to start the race! :taz: As a result I had a car that never quite wanted to turn into the corner when I wanted to, and wanted to continue turning the corner when I wanted to straighten up and get on the gas!! Slowly came to terms with it as the race progressed and I picked up a few places as cars retired or examined the gravel traps.
Dean made a couple of exciting passes on me and equally spectacular excursions as his brakes di not quite match his ambitions.
Generally though I knew that I was losing at least a couple of seconds a lap with the dodgy setup, so I just tried to keep it smooth and get to the finish. Almost netted a 10th place until I missed a downshift at T1 on the last lap and gifted Dean the place!  ::)

Grats  to Robert, Sam and Gismo some very fast guys in this group these days!!

Really great to see a full grid and a great selection of cars.  ;D ;D ;D

But not a single Ferrari in the big-boy category - we were awash with them in privs!

No shift-r in Works affects the decision for some. I love the Ferrari, and as I find it has the best brakes in the 67s, might have been a good choice here, but hesitate to use it at tracks I'm not really comfortable with yet. It will be my ride for Rouen and Monza (possibly Ste. Jovite, as well).

I normally use the Fez but wanted to rack up some more tokens, having had no practice beforehand. I had driven the track before and was quite competitive, driving a wingless Brabham BT24 to 4th place in a 1969 pre-season event, so I knew at least the chance of me making boneheaded moves was somewhat reduced.

I had a hard time getting the gears in the BRM right, for most of the corners 1st was too low and 2nd was too high. I eventually found a way around it by braking later and sliding the car into the corner some more. I was basically on my own for most of the race, although racers around me were never that far away. In the closing laps I got tracked down by a recovering Bob and Iestyn. With a track as tricky as this one, with braking zones being so tight, I decided not to fight them too much and let them get on with it. Then Iestyn spun soon after, and for a short while I thought if I pushed I might still snatch a P7. But then I followed his example and spun too... Ah well, P8 with the BRM in a full works grid, not too bad I think :) .

I wasn't initially a fan of this place but by the end I'd found my feet.  Having tried the BRM I decided a faster car would be required to enjoy the race, so default choice was the Brabham.

After a reasonable start I had to take to the grass a few corners later to avoid Doni as he nudged Peter, it actually worked out well for me and I gained a position.  Running 4th I was pretty much at my maximum and was pleased to be in touch with Peter's Eagle, but it turned out to be short lived.  I could see Pelle on prib keeping me honest in his Honda, driving his usual impressive race.  I was making a few mistakes that allowed Pelle to close and a stupid power slide that I didn't back-out of early enough had me off letting Pelle past.  A few mistakes later and Tristan nipped past and I was in the clutches of the fast one and Iestyn.  However, I managed to turn the page and get back past Iestyn and Tommie and set off in pursuit of Tristan.  After setting my personal FL I just failed to catch him.  Reasonably happy with sixth, all the guys ahead of me I consider to be faster and most were also in faster cars.

Cheers, Bob.

Look at SRMZ, this is an official 67 offline historic upgrade mod.

Some people seem to try to make it online, but as the physics are variable from carset to carset it will be problematic online...
