Server was rock solid for me with a consistent 59-60fps throughout. Didn't see any cars warping.  Seemed to be plenty of drivers in chat at the end and not much talk of lag problems?

Must apologise to Ronnie and Gareth for the shunt on lap 16 that ended their race.  I missed a gear on the exit of T2 and so I was slower than normal into T3.  Sorry about that.

Yes, all seems fine now!

Thanks to all for joining, no double  numbers anymore!
The import was a little tricky, as Tommie took the BT20 as a premiere at UKGPL and the database did not know this car yet  ;D

My race was fun, I had learned from Greg in pre practice that I had too much wing, so I reduced them and had a very save handling car.

Everything ran sweet here.  Good fps with zero stutters and I had lots of opportunities to view cars as they flew past.  Was fun despite being a moving roadblock.  :)

What a special race it was! I'm traditionally slow in these cars (I had only two 69 mod races in my whole GPL career where I could match the frontrunner's pace), and this race proved my disability too... But still I had some great or at least memorable moments in the race. I gained lots of places in the first two sectors due to others misfortune just to went wide at the end of Sec 2, spin out and see nearly everyone passing me... Still in Lap 1, exiting Scierie I blew the engine and went from (semi)hero to totally zero :D Later I was lucky enough to catch a few cars, even pass the slower ones. And there was my next Moment: I followed Tommie out of Gresil, he kept the car left, I went right - just to see how interesting car he was driving. The backstraight is long enough so I kept looking left to view his car in all her beauty when we suddenly caught a stationary car. Sorry Tommie! If I were looking ahead I could have given you more place to avoid the crash. In the same time it was somehow hilariously funny in its absurdity :) There were a lot more action in the race, I passed and was passed many times. Only downside was my usual FPS loss.. Regardless what mod I drive it drops to 50-52fps in various places...
Congrats to the winner and podium finishers! Well done Tommie / Doni / Dave for choosing (and keep driving) the obsolete cars.

No apology necessary Phil, I did a bad rejion at the same spot early on and got hit, sorry to who ever that was.
Started badly and got steadily worse, spun on lap one, not sure if I nudged cookie or greg at the start but that was that, last.
good fun trying to catch and pass the no wing cars, one quick lap pass a few then spin and have to do it again, this went on for a while till I found the back of the only other lotus on the track :(

sorry for my dodgy race craft, good fun tho and grats to produim and finishers.

The Cooper Maserati was very pleasant to drive, I really like its engine sound.
I hoped to fight with Tom's BT20 but I wasted lot of seconds during the first laps.

BTW, I am now the best GPL performer in Rouen with this car  ;D

No problems with warp or frame rate drops for me, but the reported issues didn't seem to affect me in the earlier races, perhaps I was lucky.

I quite like Rouen and occasionally go okay here.  I enjoyed the race, but should have backed off a bit to keep from spinning, etc.

I couldn't seem to put a good lap together during qual so started 6th, but I knew I had more potential from my splits.  At the start I immediately gained a position off the line and went through T1 in 5th, then in T2 two other cars went wide and I was up to 3rd, which was nice.  Axel and Dean? were slightly ahead but with the tow I was soon with them, then through into the lead, which I held for a few corners  :P  After a spin or two I was able to catch Axel again but more errors left me too far back to challenge.  On the last lap I pushed pretty hard and was pleased with my FL.

I doff my cap to Tommie & Doni, trying some 'different' cars, although my choice of steed, the BT24 at Monza wasn't too much fun!

Thanks for running this one, in some way good reccy for the works outing.

Bob.

No worries Jani, I would probably have been too late to see the car anyway :) . Good fun racing with you :) .
