Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

yes, a lot of fun, and very good is, that in this series the "slow down penalty" is out, as portimao is totaly shit track for cut warnings, any places you get warning without cut or earn time (at least i know 2 places where this do happen), in this track the "slow down penalty" kills the fun.
and i have feeling in this track my capri have better chance against fabcar car as it was in last race(s)., haha.
but difficulty will this track be with every car i think.

Ahh, errr, umm, yeh.. well.....
Need to sort that.  ::) click on the blue E3H link in the series window at the top of the page for the correct info.
This will be the normal full layout.

Cut tracks will come and go depending on how much I want to annoy Reinhard....  I will probably leave them off for this one
but the cut police will be out in force, and not keeping two wheels on the track most laps will cause you to burn in eternal damnation
or maybe just lose points.
I will mod the pages to point at the right thing.
Annoyingly I wil miss this one as I have to go see some medical people and have things stuck in me, so will be out of action
for at leat a few days. I could use a volunteer to do the server restart?

Hey Mr Berger

Yes, the capri is bond to be fast, as keeping the Fab car on track through the rasing corners will be a challenge, but I think we can do it.. See you soon..

Thanks Tudor that would be a great help.
I will probably be back home that evening if all goes well. But I am not allowed to drive for 1 week

Oops, thanks Greg.

Server now running with practice password. Will be restarted with race password at 19:45.

BTW penalties are switched off for this because I know that's how Matt likes to do it. If anyone takes the wee I shall see to it that Matt views all the footage as part of his recuperation  :)

I think there was some timing problems tonight, there must have been, surely.

It can't be right, Jim beat TM tonight, his "kick arse" comment actually came true. I refuse to believe it...

Kicked your sorry arse too Eck :D

Fckin awesome race that, proper wheel to wheel stuff and I now have an aching arm. Brilliant driving guys, that was an absolute cracker. It's a decent track with the cut penalties turned off - don't think I saw anyone taking the piss. Hard to pass though

OK guys what's the deal with these cars then? I seem to break every gear box on these Gr5 cars and i took extra care this time with my up- and downshifts. Or did i got a French gearbox?
I have a DFGT, so no clutch pedal. Do i need to activate the Auto Clutch option then??

My apologies to Mark E. He was still stationary when the lights went green and i believe i just clipped his bumper.

That's odd. I have a clutch pedal and H-pattern shifter. I drove the Corvette and only used the clutch to get off the line. I blip on the down shifts and lift off on the up shifts, and the 'box didn't have any damage at all by the end of the race.

Perhaps you need to use auto-clutch if you're not using an h-pattern shifter

DFGT user here and yes you definitely need to enable auto clutch on all these cars in the historic series.

As for Sundays, modern GTs don't need auto clutch but the Daytona Proto does need it....that could possibly change in the next update. IIRC the Aquila also needs auto clutch but I'll check when I get time.

Difficult race last night, I really struggle to get the power down with any sort of steering lock on or over brows. Seems last night track was nothing but these! Can't believe how quick you guys all are  :-[

Anyway when are these muppets going to fix some of the glaring bugs in this beta software? Again last night the countdown timer expired before I could complete my last lap. What happens if I was actually in a race with some one? And because chat only works in car then on that last lap I get inundated with chat messages, which are banned under our rules until everyone has finished.

Shame AC hasn't got the support at the organisational level, IMHO it's far the better of the 2 games.

The no-chat-before-everyone-finishes rule is a bit incompatible with R3E, because as soon as the race finishes for everyone the chat thing is disabled. It's a bit crap really :(

Blazing fast laptimes up front, very impressive.

I was lapped by a couple of racers, but for once I had a few racers, who's were close to my own pace. That makes things a bit more fun :-))

The finish countdown is not a "bug" it is part of the event settings, and is adjustable up to 120 secs
when I did that once half the field left before the countdown and the results needed a lot of messing around with.
The file was so wrong I had to edit the .xml to get any sense from it, and then adjust the reults in LM2ias well.
The results file is less buggy and there's more in it these days, and Dave's entry system works well.

I have said this before, the countdown thing is not exclusively a R3E thing, GTR2 etc could suffer from similar issues if people left
before everyone had finished, though this fixed finish time is to me a pain in the ariolis, and should be got rid of.

If I set the race finish to 120 secs, everyone needs to agree on pain of death, that they will not disconnect in a huff because
they had a tough race, and will stay till it says the race is finished?
Leaving very early on because of damage or discos also screws the results, but most of the time the correct order can be
deduced from the results number of laps completed, so is quite easy to fix afterwards.

Yes I wasn't a lap down  :P

The finish countdown is not a "bug" it is part of the event settings, and is adjustable up to 120 secs
Let's hope we don't ever race at the Ring then. How long was it set it for last night? I guess at best I did 1 min of my final lap but if the countdown starts the moment the leader crosses the line and the leader is 1 minute ahead of me then I'd have needed 2:45 at least to complete my lap. I don't really care whether we argue the bug is the results export or a result of having too short a time to finish. Either way it's wrong.

Good to hear you're still with us Matt  :)

I've done the results, anyone see anything wrong?

Yes, Jim beat me.....how did that happen?  ;)

Server was indeed set for 60 seconds after race as we've been using recently. If we agree on 120 seconds I'll do the same for Sundays. We'll just all have to remember in future. I might stick it in my signature along with the reminder about rolling starts.....that seemed to work Sunday.
