This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

The Bentley Continental has now been released and is available for these events  8) You are allowed one car change without points penalty in this series.

The GTR3 class has also gained a Mustang although currently only one livery is available with more to follow soon.

That makes a total of 13 GT3 cars to choose from (with still more to come) and with the recent updates to both ffb and physics it is now the biggest and best GT class in simracing. Let's hope we now start getting some good size grids to do it all justice.

After last weeks race that GT3 Mclaren was tops.. I will test the Benelty now...

Is the Bentley in the GTR3 class, or just the GTM class?

Both, but you will need the GTR3 car for this series. You could also buy the ADAC 15 Bentley and then buy a livery from the GTR3 class if you prefer.....or tother way round.

Ok If I buy ADAG GT-Masters 2015 pack it is GTR3 cars? And I can take part for this race?

No.

The "ADAC GT-Masters 2015" pack contains the following cars and includes the liveries from the 2015 season....

The "GTR3" cars are different and are not available to buy as a pack.....

You only need to buy 1 car from the "GTR3" cars to race in this series but it must be from the "GTR3" class.

I have had a really bad run in this series and the p2 hopefully my internet woes and car problems are history now. I changed my internet provider and last night there was good signs of a great fast connection. Lets see Sundays are always a test of it. 40 plus points behind GT, maybe I can try catch you.

Trying to do some laps last night but this is a tough track to learn and the Ruf isnt helping. That first sector is killing me!

Any changes from default so far seem to make it worse!

Might have to go completely random and reduce the relative differences between front and rear and make it as neutral as possible. Trying to take the 'ruf' out of the ruf!

I can send you my setup if you want. Nothing can compensate for that tightening RHer near the start sadly, track is very dependant on the line you take especially out the back of the track.

Can anyone help me with my pit stops. Can I put more than 29 gallons in my car I don't wanna pit 3 times and give my place up? LOL plz help

Hey Apex, try changing it in pitstop presets, i run litres, not gallons. But you can choose to out in for one stop. But adding the correct amount of fuel

Glad to have you with us Mike......welcome  :)

Our Sunday GT and proto events have a dedicated following but we certainly need more drivers. Doesn't matter if you're fast or slow as long as you're a clean and a fair racer. There is no sign up required for any races here but you'll need to know the race password which is the same every week and can be found at the top of this page. That's it really, make sure you get your pitstops sorted and remember our Sunday races are all manual rolling start with a formation lap.

Didn't have time to change setup before race. So started on Qualifying fuel.

I tried a couple of pit stops but they didn't seem to be able to convert gals to Ltrs so soon ended up with another empty tank!! Probably best to give up for tonight.

Sorry TM, though that really doesn't cover it.

I made a complete horlicks of it, once again. Though the pitstop went perfectly... lol.

Was having a great time dicing with Spanner, was on for a possible podium, but then we came up to some traffic to lap

I waited, but you didn't seem to be getting going so I went after Spanner who was by now
miles in front.
Then had to take a stop and go through trying too hard, hit a "P" as I wasn;t sure how to do
a stop and go, so cancelled it, but then his another key and ended up in a trackside camera view
managed eventually to get a nose view, and made the best of a bad job.
Ah well, was very good in parts  ;D

What a disaster

I started the race 2nd, i took it easy had clean lines. Did not make one mistake, I started to push hard, I caught John, then I over took him. I didn't cut the track one, no warnings. The John pitted, So I decided to push on. Coming into turns 4 and 5 those double right handers, The back end broke away, it was a big mistake, but the game handed me a drive through... For what??? Please watch the replay. Then Had to stop 2 more time then I figured out how to do a drive through. Buy then my race was over, thats a bit hard getting a drive through for making a mistake, my lines where spot on.

I am losing heart for these Sunday night races. Man they seem to be against me.

I think the drive through penalties are pants as they penalise for any off track moment including results of incidents and whether you gain time or not. At least with the slow down system it only penalises when a driver gains time. If a driver lifts off the throttle for a moment before rejoining the track after a cut they will not receive a slow down.

Please speak up if you prefer drive throughs and we can have a poll for it, otherwise it's back to slow downs for Sunday nights.

Hello again, was away for some time. Thought I was done for sure but chemotherapy brought me back. Doctors say I'm cured but what do they know, eh?  :P

Anyways, tried to do some laps in the afternoon and decided to join. Game is much improved from my last muserable tries but I'm not very familiar with it. Yes, I did the same mustake as nsfast.  ;D
Learning the system as  the race went on I had to pit again the next lap. God forbid I'd have to do a drivethrough...  :wacko:
Took full tank and the fas ran out 5 min before the race, quit there.

Was racing myself, mostly, when I wasn't in the way of others, sorry for that, I hope I didn't take anyones position away. Didn't know who was where and who I was racign and where is he but was to be expected and I will learn these things. You guys probably discussed things but I'm lazy as  :smartass: and will ask some Q here:

1. Is there a way to remove / shift notes about laptimes / crossing finish lines of other players? Position on the left side of the view is where you look onto the corner and I didn't anything then.
2. Can it be set when you see the name of the driver seen on track. GTR2 was much better with this, you saw right away who it is and his position in the race. Any gadgets, like in AC?
3. Info about tyres and brakes? While you can see some things about tyres it doesn't say anything about temps and you can't really do setups and change driving in some corners without that. Same with brakes - didn't feel any brakes overheat, is this not simulated? Also, was setting braking balance on the feel of the butt coming around, any other options? Is there something like XD! for GTR2? How about MOTEC or some such?
4. Didn't find an option to set x2 fuel / tyres in offline races, is it there at all?

Will have to find some tips about pitting ...

Yes raceroom is a little different in some areas. The sudden change from qually straight onto the grid really isnt great!

Yes you need to ensure you start with plenty of fuel, i think i used 75L in the first 30mins so starting with a full tank is a must.  Wheres the confusing with Gallon and Litres (nsfast?) for me garage shows L and car status panel shows L. I just calculated the number difference; started with 120L, used approx 75, had around 40L so added 45L to be safe.

if you check in the controller options for the key options there are keys to show car labels, I think you can turn off the useless broadcast graphics, there are no info on tyres or brake temps sadly, You have to do judge it based feel alone.

You can get the banner display showing the positions of everyone in relation to you.

You can setup pit-presets, but find you need to change it on the fly much like in XD.

Not to worry Eck, seemed like a bit of a concertina effect from what I remember.....ta for waiting.

well that was a surprise! only remember this track from the historic race we had where is was a different layout. Didn't really have a set up so spent about 1/2 an hour playing earlier on Sunday.
Managed to get pole by a nats cock (23 thousands of a seconds) from Ant so knew it was going to me and him battling it out again! quickly found out during the race its so easy to over drive the car at this track and make a simple mistake which I did coming into the last corner too hot and out braking myself and Ant was in the lead. Took a pit stop at the end of that lap and noticed that Ant had a drive trough which kind of handed the win to me, unlucky brew would have been a good race but I think you had the pace on me unlucky. I kind of like this track as it quite complicated and technical and well easy to make a mistake.

well done all and onto the next one  8)

personally I would go for slow down as the drive through is too severe if you are caught out by another driver.

Going in expecting iR, AC, or GTR2 and your'll be disappointed...its different!

The unfinished aspects are a dissapointing, it's true, but for me the missing bits are nice to have's not essentials for good racing
Personal taste of course, but I actually prefer this over GTR2 or AC. And don't find it a dissapointment.
