This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

These events have now been changed to run the P2 Prototypes only for the remainder of this series.

Haven't quite decided what to do with the results of the previous rounds yet but if no-one objects I was thinking of making this series a non-championship/fun series meaning that the results won't become official stats.

Spanner and I was having some great racing in this series. It's too bad we can't continue with our fight.. P.S This is the only series I haven't gotten a disconnect on "as I am crossing my fingers" lol

Hope you can carry on in the P2s where you left off in the GT3s. Would be nice to do multiclass again next season but it really depends on interest and ultimately drivers on the grid.

You dont pick easy combos do you? This is going to be tough, Laguna is short, lots of aero corners and then theres the corkscrew!

Hey GT

Why don't we keep it multiclass till the end, then we can try and get Kai and Jan to join. Maybe we can get the grid a bit bigger, its only you and I atm racing these P2's. But then spanner and Aphex can continue there fight.

What do you think? Lets PM the fins..  ;D

Edit: I think Martin will be back also this weekend.. We hope..  ::)

If there is enough interest in continuing with multiclass I'm all for it.

I dont see its worth it tbh! I was faster than Apex! lol

But they are deadly, tried one of them out but the back end instantly breaks away. Need to see what the DP drives like, hopefully a bit nicer

DP seems easier around here but experimenting with different levels of TC helps to tame all of the cars. Looks like there are a few taking a shot at the leaderboard.....

Might be worth pasting a link to the leaderboard each time. Damn looked like you posted your time GT a few minutes after me!

Maybe we could do that in the race announcement in future? At present it seems like the leaderboards are disabled as I've since improved my time and it's not been registered. I think they're planning some update or something early next week so maybe that's why.

Hey Gents

Sorry about that, I had a really bad connection to the lobby, people where flying all around, in qualifying it was ok, but second lap GT was vanishing away and cars where all over the track. Sorry if I bumped someone, it was really out of my hands. I decided to leave as I was affraid of ruining other people's laps. I had a good qualifying lap. I think my race pace would have been ok

Well done GT on the series win

Ant

I thought you'd stopped for a cup of tea  ??? How much fuel did you put in and did you pre-select your pitstop half way around your inlap?

Not sure what was happening with you tonight Ant, I couldn't see you at all in practice or quali when I tried to look on race monitor. I could see your times on the HUD and in the timings page but you were nowhere to be seen on track. I could see you ok at the start but you seemed to have a wobbly at the last corner of the first flying lap and by the time we got down to the hairpin you were jumping in front then behind and then completely disappeared. Very odd.

Well overall that was alot more fun than i was expecting! I guess some of the faster guys missing as i wasnt expecting to start third, but found the DP alot more forgiving than the two free P2s. Early on it seemed GT was a bit slower but that cut track on the main straight is a bit severe so couldnt even attempt anything into the first corner. Though we all seemed to suffer from a few mishaps in the first half i seemed ot be more consistent as around the time iwas thinking of stopping i'm sure i had about 10-15secs on Apex at least in second. I probably faffed around a bit with the pit details as i decided to stick a fixed mount once i'd got to 30mins in and seen what i had left. Changed tyres and added 65L, said it was an 18sec stop, but then to find after coming out that Apex exited the pits right alongside was very confusing and spent the rest of the race trying to work out what was going on. I was convinced GT still had to stop so pushed for the last 20mins, even with a few mins to go i was half expecting you still to stop!

Even so, really enjoyed that, wasnt expecting to be on that sort of pace.

I did realise when i got close to Ant that i should try and back off as he was moving around, lag wise then a few corners later literaly vanished for the timing to show him further up the road!
